About this bed and breakfast

Your cozy guest house is tucked away in 112 acres of rolling pasture and woods on our family farm. With hundreds of sheep, working border collies, friendly pigs, horses, chickens, turkeys, and honeybees, there is always something interesting going on. Your visit is private and personal, because we host only one group at a time. The bedroom is on the second floor: one bunk bed, one twin, and one double. You have your own fully equipped kitchen and washer/dryer. Despite our country location, grocery stores and amenities are just 10 minutes away in Sunbury and Danville. Explore our woods and fields, curl up with a good book by the pond, watch the peacefully grazing sheep: this is a great place to relax and be in touch with nature. Families are welcome: for safety's sake, children must be supervised at all times. There are many other guest attractions in the region, such as Knoebel's Amusement Park, Clyde Peelings Reptile Museum, and Tobias Wild Animal Park. Dave and I are your hosts: we live steps away from the guesthouse. Note: when we say Sleeps 6, we feel the space is best suited when the 6 includes kids. 6 adults will seem a bit crowded.

We absolutely loved staying here! The place was just as described, and felt very homey! Caroline and David were nice and made us feel welcomed. We would definitely recommend anyone to stay here Hopefully we can come back in the future!

A great place for a family who is interested in the workings of a farm. Caroline and David were very nice and willing to take the kids and my family around the farm to see the pigs and demonstrate sheep herding with the dogs. It's a big farm, so be prepared for some walking if you're going to check it out. The loft was plenty of space and plenty of beds - very spacious upstairs and down. The downstairs couch is a pull-out sofa which is super convenient. We really only planned to eat breakfast there so we didn't cook much and can't speak to what's available. The nearest grocery store is 10 minutes away. It's definitely rustic accommodations but perfect for an active family and you couldn't have nicer hosts. If you're planning to stay here as a base for Knoebels, know that it's 22 minutes away. When we checked in, the upstairs was VERY warm and we turned the AC down hoping it would fix it before we went out for the afternoon. After we returned, David attempted to fix it but wasn't able so he went out the next day and got a new unit. It would have been good to know that was an issue before we checked in at 3, but they took care of it as soon as they could after we reported it - it was a warm first night, but the next night was fine.

Owners are friendly and great with kids. Great for families. Loved being around variety of farm animals. Kitchen/dining area could have been cleaner. Kitchen/dining area & bath are on lower floor. Must use steps to "loft" for sleeping.
