We stayed at this lovely home in Inwood for 6 weeks. Communication was excellent and location was fabulous!

Property location was wrong online. Pool was awesome. There are beds everywhere and couldn’t open some doors to closets and bathrooms. The property didn’t feel complete and well thought out.

My family and I stayed in this home from 7.18-7.23 2022. The VRBO listing shows a creamy stucco home with a large grassy backyard, covered patio and pool. The house we showed up to was a red brick, rocky backyard with a small pool and no covered patio. We immediately contacted the housing manager and VRBO about the misrepresentation. The housing manager then proceeded to tell us they did not use the correct exterior photos on the listing to “protect the guest’s privacy” and instead put a photo of a completely different house, backyard and pool on the listing. We were and are incredibly upset and disappointed to have been deceived in this way. Once we arrived and began to settle in, we realized there were more issues than just the misrepresentation of the exterior. The house was not real clean. The issues with the house cleanliness we experienced include but are not limited to: Bleach in the hand soaps and dish soap, ruining our clothing before we realized, some of the bed linens had not been washed. One set of bedding was full of chips, hair, and other trash. We also noticed hair and dried urine around the toilet seats. The laundry room had dirty linens laying on the floor. The backyard was littered with discarded pool floats, cigarettes, charcoal bags, popsicle wrappers, used paper towels, and other various trash.
The kitchen was understocked and did not have the adequate supplies. We also found MANY dirty dishes in the cabinets.
While the house is awkwardly full of beds, there are few lamps, side tables, and few blinds. Most of the furniture is broken or falling apart. There are TV’s located in most rooms, however there are no remote controls and no access to internet or cable of any kind. Three of the five in the house did not work, again a misrepresentation from the VRBO listing. As we looked around the house upon arrival, there were no basic instructions to stay here including: wifi password, door code, trash instructions, tv instructions, etc. that you would normally expect in a VERBO home. We had to contact the property manager repeatedly upon arrival
My family have owned VRBO property, but also used VRBO many times in the past with good experiences. It is obvious that the owners of this property or manager take very little care of their property or have concern about the deceptive practices they are engaged in. I will end on a positive note, the property location and wonderful neighborhood is great. Request current photos!

The property is not well kept. It needs a good cleaning. The organization and furnishings in the bedrooms need to be reorganized. There is a lot of junk stored in the drawers. The property manager was excellent when I addressed the issues.

We had a Great experience! Great communication with house manager. We enjoyed our stay. Pool was awesome. Plenty of room for everyone. Only suggestion to have a guide of "What to know while you stay here." But our questions were always answered in a timely manner. We will stay again.

Evelyn did a great job communicating with me.
Beautiful home but it needs a good cleaning. Floors were so dirty, that after my son walked around after taking a shower, his feet were black. Washing machine and dryer were full when we got there, so we finished the towels/sheets. 1 room had dirty linens in the closet. Trash was in pantry when we got there. The refrigerator smelled bad and the freezer needed cleaning also.
Positive features - rooms were spacious, AC worked great, kids enjoyed the pool.

Great experience
We got an upgrade and it was great!!! Evelyn was always there when we needed her and I loved that we were in a gated area. I really enjoyed the stay!!! Definitely recommend!

The property was not was what advertised - it was switched at the last moment to (2 Inwood Way Drive, San Antonio, TX) without notice, and the new property didn't match the original property. I learned of the property switch 5 days prior to travel when I was confirming the details with the property manager. I worked with VRBO and the property manager to make the new property work.
Issues with the new property:
- Bugs - We regularly found bugs inside the property. The mosquitoes outside were terrible - We used 8 cans of Cutter mosquito spray and we had citronella candles, but you couldn't go in the backyard without being covered in mosquitos. My wife's suitcase (that was on a dresser in the closet) had small insects all over the inside.
- Filthy interior- The tile floor was very dirty - my son's feet were black from walking around the house. There was hair on the floor, and the underside of vanities and other furniture was filthy.
- Outlets - Various outlets in the house didn't work.
- Pool - The pool needed to be treated with chemicals and it wasn't properly cleaned until the end of our trip.
- Kitchen - The kitchen barely had any supplies - my cousin who lived in Texas had to bring things from her house to allow us to serve food, etc.
- Mattresses - The urine-stained mattresses were only switched immediately prior to arrival after my cousin happened to check them an noticed that they smelled like dogs and had large urine stains. Some of the mattresses were very uncomfortable - one of them had a dip in the sleeping area of the mattress.
- Master bath - The water pressure was very low.
- Trash cans - There were limited trash cans in the bathrooms.
- Wiring - There was a cable improperly wired and running across the floor in one of the closets that was a trip hazard.
- Jack & Jill bathroom - The toilet didn't function properly. The towel rack was falling off the wall. The shower door didn't function properly. The light wasn't properly secured to the ceiling - it was hanging down.
- More towel racks were needed in the bathrooms.
- The gas range was great!
In general, the new property seems like it was thrown together at the last minute, and it doesn't appear to have been properly cleaned in a LONG time. The experience with Vrbo was very disappointing.

We booked and paid for this location, however while on the way there, I called Evelyn to verify the entry code and I was told, "The pool is not working, so I am giving you an upgrade and sending you to another of our properties!" My heart almost sank because I had read one of the reviews where someone had said, they booked one property and was sent to another one and it was horrible. Being the optimist that I am, I did not panic, however my family was not so optimistic. They wanted to know about this 'upgrade' that I was telling everyone to divert to. I called and texted Evelyn and she explained that it was a one story instead of the two and it had a nicer pool. Evelyn told me that the cleaning people were currently there and that they would be finished by 4. I told her no problem we would probably not arrive until 6 since we had a couple of events planned before we arrived. Since we were running late, we decided to go ahead and check out the 'upgraded' location. Before entering the home, the front yard had not been kept. It was not clean. Upon entering the home the first room I went into was the Study which they have converted into a bedroom, there were books thrown on the bookshelves, a baby crib that looked like it was from the 1930's and a computer monitor on the top of the bookshelf which was at the head of the bed. The linens looked like something you would expect to find in a homeless shelter. The pillows were of three sizes which made you think of Goldie Locks and the 3 Bears! They had a pillow for Papa Bear, Mama Bear and Baby Bear! I was expecting a nice white comforter with clean sheets and pillows of the same size, since this was sold as an "Upgrade!"The house did not get any better after this room, over all the home was not clean and if we would have waited 10 to 20 more hours it still would not have been clean because it was that filthy! We immediately let the lady that was at the home when we arrived know that we were not happy. She told us to call VRBO to try and rebook. We did and found out that there was nothing available because of Spring Break and March Madness. They told us to try and stay at the home for the night and they would find us something else the next day. We did like many who had rented properties from Evelyn(Property Manager) before and headed to Walmart! We purchased mattress pads, comforter sets, sleeping bags, towels, cleaning supplies, etc. because it was that bad!

After I paid for the rental I asked to see the property ahead of time to verify the amenities on the listing. I was not afforded the opportunity. I still have heard from the property manager and I will be reaching out to corporate VRBO next.

The house is nice and the location was great. However, too many issues for our short stay
I normally do not give bad reviews but I really read these reviews when searching for a place to stay. I am hoping that the owner will use my feedback to make some necessary updates/changes.
Property location was great. House is nice but we had too many issues. When we drove up after 4pm, cleaning folks were still there. Had a stench in the garage from the trash bins which were overflowing. We had to ask them to come back for those. Cobwebs all over the house, linens are so old that some of the towels has holes. Bedding was not better, spread in the master has paint on it and holes where the filling is coming out. It was the same for the other rooms.
They actually advertise sleeping space that was in the master closet (a bed in a closet). We could not use that at all.
A chair at the formal dining table has a broken arm.
There is a nice screened in porch but again cleanliness is an issue. The cushions had mildew and cobwebs in ever corner. You do not even what to touch anything because of all the dirt. That area probably have not been clean for years.
The pool was one of our reason for renting this property. Deflated pool stuff thrown all over the grounds. The day we got there we noticed it looks dirty. I texted the person I have been communicating with and I was informed that it was cleaned the day before we got there. The water did not look clean. The cleaning stuff was just right there on the ground. The area could use a good power wash. We were not comfortable swimming in the pool but we did. We took out as much leaves as we can. By Saturday the pool started to turn green and that is when I informed the individual I have been communicating with that its needs to be clean before we can use it again. They finally came out and clean the pool. Still was not done right because the sides still showed discoloring. Hopefully no one gets sick or skin rash from this.
We were not able to get any of the TVs to work. Not sure if they did not have cable but we were out a lot so we did not make that an issue.
They had 2 sets of washer and dryers which was great since we have a large group, however, one dryer was not working so we had to make do with 1.
We were very disappointed with this property but still had a wonderful in San Antonio.
With some changes, this property could a great place to stay.

Gated Community
The house was very spacious & located in a wonderful gated subdivision. It suited our needs. We loved San Antonio & pretty much gathered only in the evenings for family dinners. The bed we slept in was comfortable. The house needed some TLC and could have been cleaner, but overall we were happy with the accomodations.

Roomy house for a big group
Loved the house and the neighborhood. The house has plenty of space for everyone to sleep comfortably and roam around. However, for this caliber of home, I was expecting at least the basics such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, dish soap, laundry detergent, kitchen paper towels. These things were not included and we had to go out and get most of them. The property manager did send someone with the laundry detergent, but everything else had to be purchased. The kitchen is stocked with most basic tools and we were able to manage just fine. The pillows need to be changed. They're old and smelly. We had a great time overall and would rent it again.

This a very comfortable home
Because of a scheduling mix up we did not get to stay here the first two nights. The owner was very accommodating and we stayed in another property which had its own charm but no pool.

The house and location are excellent. The upstairs a/c did not work. We were there 3 days and it never got fixed.

It was Awesome
Everything was great! The kids loved the pool. The house was very spacious with comfortable beds, everything was there that we needed right down to the high chair and play pen. Charo (the owner) met our every need and was a great host. Would definitely love to stay there again.

Just what we needed!
This house had just what we needed for our group! Plenty of room to gather and chat in the family, around the dining room table and out by the pool. The beds were extremely comfortable too which is always a plus when you're out of town. Having 4 bathrooms to accommodate our large group was essential. We enjoyed our stay and would come back again!

Nice place but needs some improvements.
The house met our needs, however, there were a few issues that would have made it a much better experience. There was no information available to us about the house such as WiFi password, trash pick up, pool care, etc. Also, the furniture wasn’t comfortable- couches were very uncomfortable which made sitting around the house unpleasant. Beds were comfortable but pillows need to be updated. Adequate towels, bedding. Kitchen dishes, silverware was not adequate for the number of guests the house can hold. Manager did try to help us resolve the issues but the pool maintenance was very poor and seemed to be in conflict with the manager. The house was conveniently located and a great size for our family of 17. With the suggestions I mentioned, it could be an amazing place that we would want to rent again.

Beautiful home on very steep hill
I cannot give a review of this house because I did not stay at this house. Instead I stayed at another property belonging to the owner. That property had an extremely steep driveway because the house is on a hill. That driveway proved challenging driving and walking up during tropical storm Harvey. It was a beautiful home, nicely remodeled but did not have enough linens and towels for the large party that it accommodates. However, if you have a large party the house I stayed in is more than accommodating just bring extra towels and blankets.
