We had a great stay and loved this cottage! The house has a great lay out and is nicely updated. Our sons loved having a separate bunkhouse and the outdoor shower. The kayaks, paddle boards and closet full of beach gear were a great addition to the rental. We will take advantage of the volleyball and outdoor toys when it is not so hot. There are multiple kayak launches and private beaches in the area. We will stay again!

When we read some of the other reviews in regards to this cottage being hot and unable to cool off in peak heat we were very leary. We came in and it was super cold and extremely comfortable! No worries one bit after that! Kevin has all the necessities you need to enjoy your stay! He was very responsive to our message when we did have a hiccup and got us going again in a matter of minutes! We honestly couldn’t be happier with our choice of a cottage while here. Just FYI…if you bring your pups with you there really isn’t a great area to let them out to go to the bathroom so you will have to take them out and walk them but PLEASE make sure to pick up their poopies! The neighbor people seemed really nice, although we didn’t speak, but…they do have a very large dog that roams around outside and does poop in the yard so be careful walking around. That would be our only issue we had while there! All in all it was a GREAT TIME!!! Make sure to add your letter to the guest book on the table between the 2 chairs! It was fun reading all of them! We will definitely be back…hopefully sooner than later! THANKS KEVIN!!!!

Overall the week was enjoyable. The location is on the Canal at the dead end as described with all the amenities for water activities. The only downside was that the home is older and could use some updates. But overall would recommend for the price, you can’t beat it!

It is a great little property. Has everything there for you to use. We wished the golf cart worked but we did ride the bicycles around the block. It is a quiet neighborhood and friendly.

Home has everything you need for the beach. All you need is your towels so dont have to pack extra. Neighbor lets dog use bathroom and leaves huge piles of poop so if you have kids watch your step. A/C doesnt keep house cool during the day but caught up at night. Temps in the 80's. No key found for front door so never locked. WIFI doesnt reach outdoor bungalow so work had to be done in main house. Careful coming off front porch. Daughters friend tripped 3xs from uneven pavers and broke her toe. Minutes away from beach. Worth the price for all the amenities offered.

The overall experience was good. The house needs some upgrades to the bathroom and kitchen floor. The neighbors are very nice as is the entire neighborhood.

The property was overall GREAT. The great room, kitchen, dining area were clean with a cozy relaxing ambiance. The space was clean and well maintained. The two in house bedrooms were also nice and the beds were comfortable. I enjoyed the array of lamp lighting, which made for lovely calming evenings. The neighbors were friendly, and my sister who is a dog lover enjoyed meeting the pooches, which were commonly being walked by their pleasant and accommodating masters. I was at a conference much of the time, but we enjoyed some cooking in the well appointed kitchen at night. We looked in and considered using the bunk house out back. It looked cool, but we really didn't need the space. Most of our friends who joined us were there for the day, with only one spend the night guest. The tropical foliage out front was a little tall, but not knowing about those types of plants, it may have been the way they are supposed to grow. Not a problem, but

Arrived to a hot house, all the window a/c units had clean filter light on- not putting out cold air ( reset filter light) started blowing out cold air for a short time then back to not, if you enjoy the heat this house will be good for you. I even tried turning them to lowest setting and had the floor fans blowing on high. There were dead roaches in the bathroom floor, woke up to roach Godzilla crawling over the kitchen counter second morning. Owner was good communicating before stay, but would not respond once there 🤷🏻‍♂️ Outlets were overloaded with multi plugs and drop cords. Some light switches and lamps seemed to have shorts in them ( had to be gentle turning on to get to work). If you use a cpap or need a power source next to bed, good luck! You have to use drop cord under bed to plug it in, where I found the floor was nasty and stuff all along the wall—-from fast cleaning obviously! Our dog found a dried up dead frog under one of the chairs in the main room. My family stayed clogged up all week due to air quality in home from mold ( I took pictures of it in the closet ceiling). The cottage out back we didn’t use due to the air quality in it ( air dehumidifier was off due to being full, a/c unit wasn’t clean ). You could smell the dampness in the air. So all in short we were dissatisfied with the stay because we expected a lot more from what was advertised ( need to advertise the a/c and light/lamp and drop cord issues). We cut our week stay short due to the circumstances. On the positive side Neighbors were nice

This place is amazing very comfortable, massive tv 80 in like a movie theater, tons of beach toys volley ball sand court out back, a ton of movies to watch, awesome bunk house out back that could sleep plenty of extra guests, inside the cottage is beach themed and beautiful. There is a private beach and fishing pier down the street beside the oso bar and grill( great food) get the nachos. The neighborhood was great and peaceful. Two veterans with combat ptsd could finally relax here and my wife loved all of it. The outside shower is perfect and your covered don’t worry. Ice maker isn’t a little counter top model it is a beast of an ice maker to fill your coolers. Outside of the cottage is tropical with all the cool plants. If you want to relax far enough away but close enough to get anywhere you want within minutes this is for you. Already planning our next stay here. I will be recommending this place to all my veterans for a relaxing getaway

Loved our stay, especially for the price, can’t really go wrong. The only thing I would hope for the next go around for us is, better AC and circulation of the air.. I understand the location is tough for this older house, but I think the AC Units have ran their course… The neighborhood and those that live around the area were awesome! Met a lot of homeowners in the area and at the private beach on the bay side. The kitchen was awesome and had everything we needed for cooking, as we eat in most of the time, stay away from the long waits. The barbecue pit was nice, Bring Charcoal and lighter fluid if you are planning ahead. There is plenty of places to dine out close to the house, breakfast, lunch and dinner.. also right in our own neighborhood… Overall, we loved our stay at the house. The bunk house in the rear was nice for the teens and the volleyball court was an extra for the teens. The owners have thought out the extra beach toys and necessities, nice have Good Chairs, Beach Umbrella, wake boards, kayak for two, paddle board, etc. We will be back… Thanks Kevin for everything.

We had a wonderful time at the cottage. Wish it had more than 1 toulet and wish it were closer to main beach. Overall we had a great time and my wishes didn’t hinder me at all. Neighbors were friendly. Owner was quickly responsive. I would definitely recommend this property. Teen girls enjoyed the bunk house. Son enjoyed paddle board and bicycles.

Cozy beach home away from home that conveniently had everything for us!

The property was beautiful perfect size. The neighborhood was really nice ,along with the neighborhood beach as well. Would definitely say here again!

There were trees / greenery on the side of the property that needed to be trimmed. It made it somewhat difficult to make it from the side door to the backyard. Not a big deal but something to note. Otherwise I was very happy with my stay and the owner was extremely helpful!

We love this property that is why we choose to come here again! Only thing that was disappointing was the golf cart was not available for use this time so we did miss out on our coffee and early morning cruise with the fur-babies. Our teens really enjoyed the out door shower they complained when they heard about it but after making them try it out they really enjoyed it! Always tons to do during our stay that is conveniently close by just wish we could stay more then a week we are always bummed when it's time to leave! Thank you Mr. Freeman for sharing such a wonderful cozy place! We will book again.

Just too many things to list. Was disappointing enough to rent a hotel room the last night we were there just to rescue (somewhat), the vacation experience.

If you're looking for a place that really has space to entertain this is it. Our stay was short so we didn't get to play much. The backyard is full sand and has a net setup for volleyball style sports, on the porch you'll find all kinds of things for the kids to play with, they also had boogey boards to use on the beach. The bunk house would be a neat place for kids to hang out and has a mini fridge and tv, but no bathroom. There is a shower outside which was nice to rinse sand off without tracking it inside. Plenty of parking out front for 3 to 4 cars, close to bear point marina which has lots of fun things to do. I'd suggest a dolphin cruise or fishing charter (Cold Mill fleet). Back to the place. The kitchen has a ice machine built in which was real handy for filling coolers before heading out to the beach for the day. I'll definitely be keeping this place in the books when we go back to visit. Only cons I'd say was with the fit and finish of the house its self, by that I mean the improvements were done very quickly and lend to a clean fit and finish for the place( it's just something I look at) The cleaning company could've spent a little more time in the place which I'll be addressing to the property owner. Definitely wouldn't change my mind about staying though. I'm sure they fly through places before the next. Set of people come in.
