A Great Northern Michigan location close to Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Glen Arbor, Crystal Lake, Frankfort. The Wayberry Cottage, built in 2006, is a quiet retreat on 15 wooded acres surrounded by thousands of acres of forest. Located just 3 miles from the village of Lake Ann and 15 miles west of Traverse City, the Cottage offers up-north privacy and peacefulness with city conveniences nearby. WiFi is not available at the cottage. However, the brewery, coffee shop and library in the village of Lake Ann offer free WiFi. Approximately 10 miles west of the Cottage is Lake Michigan where you can explore all the beaches, water activities, sand dunes, and lighthouses Benzie County has to offer. Other area lakes are also within minutes of your enjoyment. The Wayberry Cottage is beautifully modeled after Northern Michigan cottages from the early 1900s while embracing all the comforts and benefits of modern living. Whether spending your days sightseeing or playing golf at Mistwood, a 27-hole course only 3 minutes away, come back to enjoy the hot tub or just relax on the screened-in porch while reading a good book. The Wayberry is sure not to disappoint.

Loved the cottage as it is secluded and peacefully surrounded by tall pines. The game room is nice as is the hot tub off the basement. Would definitely return.

Had a wonderful time at the Wayberry Cottage, the cottage had everything we needed to have a very comfortable stay. The property was very clean and organized. As a family we traveled to the TC area for a family wedding but plan on returning next fall and will definitely seek out the Wayberry Cottage again. The host Jennie and Matt were very responsive to all questions. We were sad to leave, but will be back.

This is the perfect place to stay if you want to get away and to visit Traverse City. Close to all Traverse City’s attractions. The house is immaculate and comfortable; beautifully decorated well-maintained, and extremely accommodating for everybody’s needs. We had a wonderful stay. The hosts were professional and friendly, great communicators. No complaints whatsoever!

We traveled to Wayberry Cottage for a girls weekend to celebrate my mom’s 60th birthday. The cottage is immaculately clean and exactly as pictured. I arrived at night and it reminded me of Mel’s cabin in the tv show, “Virgin River”. It’s the cutest place! The cottage had everything we needed; multiple gathering spaces to talk and play games (both indoor and outdoor), a well stocked kitchen, plenty of beds & linens, laundry, and lots of information about the area tucked in the kitchen. It’s a short drive into Lake Ann as well as easy, beautiful drives to Empire, Glen Harbor, and the Traverse City areas. Thank you for being wonderful hosts!

Jennie and Matt were awesome and the privacy of this home is special. You are really away from it all yet 15 mins in the car you can be to any hotspot Empire and Lake Ann have to offer. Really cool, check it out!

Great base camp for all the area has to offer. Short drive to sleeping bear dunes. Town of lake Ann has some great spots for coffee, drinks and pizza.

Wayberry cottage was an absolute beautiful place to stay! The weather during our stay wasn’t quite what we hoped but being in this beautiful home that offered so much entertainment on site was a definite plus! The owners were very quick to respond and the house had everything we needed and more to make our stay perfect! Close to many different outdoor adventures and offering an adventure of its own I would recommend this house to anyone.

It is a beautiful and charming cabin in the woods. The house is very nice and the accommodations where great. We enjoyed the pool table and foosball along with the hot tub. Outside there was horse shoe pits, ladder ball and a bonfire pit. The bedrooms are nice and spacious and the place had everything that we needed. Truly a great place to stay and we plan on coming back.

Booked this cute cabin for our family Christmas getaway trip. Great location away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to explore. Loved the amenities of the hot tub and pool table. Would recommend!

A group of us stayed at Wayberry for a girls weekend. This is the best VRBO I’ve rented. The cottage was adorable, very clean and had every thing we needed. It’s very close to Traverse City and the cute little town of Lake Anne. We all agreed we would definitely come back!

The property was very well taken care of and clean. There were clear instructions on check out procedures and the house had everything needed for cooking meals and sleep arrangements for our 10 person group. This spot is beautiful, surrounded by pines and secluded. It was an easy drive to Traverse City and I would have loved to explore more towards the lakeshore but we didn't have time. Owners were very helpful and great with communication. I would definitely recommend this rental and I will be looking at coming again!!

We had a great time at the Wayberry cottage! Everything was exactly as the listing states online, except they DO in fact have internet now which is a plus. The weather was crummy (rain in January) so some of our plans were thwarted, but we were still able to enjoy ourselves. There was plenty of room for two families with age ranges from 8 - 14 and the kids loved their own space in the basement. I definitely recommend this property!

The Wayberry Cottage was one of the best rentals we've ever stayed in. The house was immaculately cleaned, stocked with everything we needed ++more, and perfectly settled within driving distance of Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes, etc. The design of the house settled among beautiful pine trees looked like a Thomas Kinkade painting. Thanks Jennie and Matt for a wonderful NYE vacation!

This is a very nice well-kept home. The furniture was very nice and comfortable. Very nice front porch and I loved the rocking chair. The hot tube was great also. Thank you for letting us stay in your home.

The Wayberry Cottage was the perfect place for friends to get away to celebrate their 70th. birthdays and being friends since high school. The cottage had everything we needed and was large enough for all of us to have our own bedroom. The location was perfect and we enjoyed the beautiful ride on M22 and up to Glen Haven beach and Glen Arbor. Thanks for sharing your home with is!

Enjoyed our stay at Wayberry! We had two families and there was plenty of room for our group. We loved the basement game room and hot tub. The house is peaceful and secluded but still an easy drive to Sleeping Bear Dunes. I did find some amenities lacking that we typically find in rentals—no laundry detergent, aluminum foil/plastic wrap, very few containers with lids to store leftover food—so plan to bring those items along if needed. Host was easy to communicate with. House was clean and well cared for. Would definitely stay again!

Perfect spot for a vacation up north. Secluded but 20 min from literally everything. The house is stocked with everything you will need. Very clean! The owners are easy to work with. Loved every min and hope to be back.

This place is absolutely beautiful. Peaceful & relaxing, yet close to the dunes & Traverse City. It has everything you would need for a fantastic stay. Deer came to visit. Enjoyed coffee on the front porch swing in the morning. Roasting marshmallows around the campfire in the evenings. Very happy with this cottage and would definitely book again.

Beautiful location and very private. Wayberry Cottage was the most lovely rental we have ever been in. Jennie was amazing and super friendly. We were all so cozy and felt at home. The cleanliness was above expectations and we will definitely be back.
