Our 1 bedroom oceanfront Kauai condo, unit 111, has been with VRBO for over 10 years and has been booked almost everyday with over 100, 5-star reviews. You will find yourself right on the ocean and far from the highway! Sit and relax on your private lanai while watching the waves roll in to Wailua beach. The view is truly spectacular. Many guests have shared stories of watching whales breach on the ocean surface for hours at a time right from the lanai.
Wailua Bay View is centrally located near Kapaa by the famous Wailua River and old Coco Palms resort where Elvis filmed 'Blue Hawaii'. It is only 10 minutes from the airport and is a perfect location to base from when sightseeing on the Garden Isle. The condo is situated directly over beautiful Wailua beach and is only a short walk to Papaloa beach, a protected cove for babies and young children. Lydgate Park is less than a 5 minute drive which boasts the best playground on Kauai. In addition, the County of Kauai just finished a bike path that borders Wailua Bay View and stretches from Kealia Beach to Lydgate Park, more than 8 miles in length.
These ground floor units are just steps from the pool and barbeque area. The private lanai is complete with railing for extra security. This makes a perfect set up for families either with or without children, with no stairs to lug up suitcases and groceries. Our condo comes with a fully equipped kitchen and a washer and dryer in the unit. We also offer free wireless high speed internet, cable TV and DVD player, a king sized bed, a sofabed, a single futon and even a pack and play/crib for little ones. Beach gear such as boogie boards and beach chairs are also provided to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

I write long reviews because I like READING other long reviews--if you are into a short review, this is EXACTLY as advertised; no surprises; squeaky clean and very comfortable. Now, for the longer review: We've stayed along the Coconut Coast multiple times--this is a great location for going just about anyware. Most of the alternative ocean-front options are hotel rooms with mini-fridges and microwaves--this is a real condo with a REAL kitchen. Once we figured out that the sidewalk was actually the beach-front bike/walking path, we realized how easy it was to get to the other beaches. If you are into sunsets, this is the wrong side of the island, but spectacular sunrises can be had with a short walk toward the bay. Note the A/C only cools the bedroom (I think the listing says that) and the host has the most incredible welcome-note with great directions. If you are even a moderate walker, plenty of restaurants. Only negative I can think of is the Paradise Bakery directly across from the parking lot--the malasada are absolutely addictive, so be prepared to walk off the calories--and the line forms early. Great experience overall!

The place was clean and a great view of the ocean. This unit was on the first floor, that made it nice. The only down side is the unit could use some TLC.

Usually when you see pics of the location it is exaggerated, but this 1 is not!
this is right on the beach and the view is stunning!
They have everything you need to enjoy the water and the beach including snorkel gear, chairs, towels etc.
we had baby and momma chics visit us every morning.
Luke was easy to get ahold of and answered his phone when I called.

The place is a bit dated (but that’s ok, I already knew that by reading reviews. The area rug in living room is a tripping hazard
