Delight in the charms of the Crescent Moon Cottage, a fully remodeled 1940’s cottage in the Historic District, just blocks away from all the action in downtown Mt. Dora. It has the charm of the past and the conveniences of today. Begin your day with a cup of coffee on the lovely enclosed sun porch or on the private back patio. Stretch your legs with a six block walk to the center of town. Browse the quaint boutiques and shops, have lunch at one of the many cafes, bars and restaurants. Watch the neighbors stroll by on a bench in Donnelly Park, view the sunset over the lake at the Mt. Dora Lighthouse, or catch a play at the Ice House Theatre. Hungry? Prepare a gourmet meal in the fully equipped kitchen, and serve it in the vintage style dining room. Then as the night winds down, cozy up to a good book in an overstuffed chair in the living room. For the person that needs to be ‘connected’ the cottage is fully wired with cable and Wi-Fi. As you succumb to sleep, climb into the king size bed in the master bedroom or one of two twin beds in the guest bedroom. At the Crescent Moon Cottage you won’t “feel” at home, you’ll be at home.

My self , sister and mother wanted to getaway for the holiday. We are native from Miami and never heard of Mt Dora. We absolutely loved our stay. The location was superb. Walking distance to everything. The cottage was fabulous. It’s was very clean, fully stocked and loved the decor. We will be telling all our friends and family. It’s a hidden gem . 😀😀

My wife and I live in Miami and visit Mt. Dora at least once a year. We normally stay at the Lakeside Inn but it was booked for the weekend we had planned. We found the Crescent Moon Cottage and we couldn't have been happier. The Location was walking distance from the shops and restaurants, the house was comfortable and nicer than we expected, and we got way more for our money than if we had stayed at a hotel. Overall we would highly recommend the cottage.

The house is super cute, clean and very close to downtown, the host was super sweet and answered our questions immediately. This was a trip with my daughter and we enjoyed every minute, we will definitely stay there again.

Brought my 80yr old mother to My Dora for a few days of eating well and shopping. The house was PERFECT! Love the way it was decorated. Beds are comfortable, and the air conditioning works really well. It is located just minutes from the downtown area. Had no issues with communication or the check-in/out process. We are already looking to book our holiday stay! Cute place, excellent VRBO owners!

Property was in a great location - short walk to downtown. Property was very cutely decorated, welll stocked. Owners seemed to care that tenants enjoyed their stay having pamphlets of things to do, leaving a list of their favorite restaurants, etc. We had a great time and we were very comfortable.

Our family of four absolutely loved our experience at this home. It was such a wonderful stay! The location was perfect for a nice walk downtown or just a stroll through the neighborhoods. I felt like every decoration was placed with the utmost care. The little extras made the week so smooth, such as laundry pods and dish soap......those little things that you need but forget to pack. The katsup left behind by the previous user make our hot dogs tasty, so I left our butter and frozen veggies for the next person :). The air conditioning was a refreshing welcome when we came home from work each day. We were in town for work but this vrbo was the perfect choice as it started to really feel like home. Debbie is great. I mean great. And her hubby too :) Thank you for turning this home into a vrbo.

Lovely ambiance, tastefuly decorated, very clean, great location. Very comfy beds and pillows. Lots of thick towels. Husband really liked the desk on the sunporch where he could set up his computer, read his newspapers online, and dabble in some art. Deb & Fitz are excellent hosts. Very pleasant and quick to respond to messages before and during our stay. We look forward to renting from them again!

The Crescent Moon Cottage was a wonderful place to stay for our long weekend in Mt. Dora. It had everything we needed and is decorated perfectly with a mix of antiques and comfortable modern furniture. It is close to downtown and to Renningers. The hosts were great. We would definitely stay here again.
