About this house rental
Located in Topsail Beach, this attractive house for $293 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. After years of family trips to Topsail Island and creating wonderful memories, we now have our very own beach house – “AT LAST”!!! It is located on the south end of beautiful Topsail Island and is a two-minute walk to the beach. Appropriately named, “At Last” is truly the perfect beach get away with three roomy bedrooms, two baths, open floor plan, enclosed outside shower and even an outside sink to clean your catch of the day. It is so unique – definitely a beach house like no other. Although siding now covers the logs on the exterior, the house was originally built as a log cabin. Inside, you can still see the hand crafted tongue and grove walls in the living area and master bedroom. In the downstairs bedrooms, the tongue and grove, beamed ceilings give each room such a cozy, warm feeling. The open living area, with grand vaulted ceiling, includes a kitchen that’s well-stocked with small appliances, utensils, pots, pans, plenty of dinnerware and silverware. The dining area has a table for six and a bar that seats four people. In the unlikely event of rain at the beach, you can enjoy the hundreds of channels on the living room 51” flat-panel HDTV, watch a provided movie on the DVD/Blu-ray player, read a book, play a game or put together a puzzle. There's a long, covered front porch with rocking chairs and large screened back porch that's surrounded by your own maritime forest of Live Oaks. The private balcony off the large upstairs master bedroom (with king-size bed) is a wonderful place to enjoy the ocean view while having your morning coffee. The master bath, with new tile shower and glass doors, was recently renovated with new flooring, ceiling, sink, fixtures and nautical décor. On the main level, “At Last” has two additional roomy bedrooms with nice flat panel HDTVs and DVD players and another full bath (with new paint, fixtures, mirror and decor.) In the downstairs utility room, you'll find a full-size washer, dryer and extra refrigerator as well as storage for the provided beach chairs, boogie boards, sand buckets, and beach toys. Our home comfortably accommodates a maximum of eight guests with plenty of parking space. However, because of the unique features of At Last, we have a strict no pets policy and no smoking. Topsail Island is a beautiful, safe, unspoiled, barrier island with 26 miles of wonderful sandy beaches. “At Last” is located in the family-oriented Topsail Beach community on a friendly, quiet street that’s great for biking, jogging, or strolling down by the water. From our house, it’s just a few steps to the beach where you can relax, soak up the sun, and watch the waves lap onto the wide, sandy shore. Walking down the street, in the other direction, it dead ends into the picturesque waterway where sunsets are magnificent! We looked a long time to find just the right beach place and know this is it!! Come on down, settle into our cozy home, stroll on the beach, cast a line, enjoy the area and we’re sure you’ll agree that you, too, have found your favorite beach vacation spot – At Last!!!

Our family with four children absolutely loved every aspect of our stay! Perfect location, just two houses down from the beach, with beach access directly across from the road. House had every amenity desired. Master bedroom upstairs with a balcony, Perfect for adults. Two bedrooms downstairs with a bathroom with plenty of sleeping spaces for the kids. Outdoor shower clean and easily accessible and lots of space outside to hose off and clean up after the beach. Relaxing private and spacious patio, enclosed with nets for evening relaxation.

We enjoyed our stay very much! The house is in a fantastic location for walking to and from the beach. The neighborhood was laid back and quiet, and the beach is uncrowded and gorgeous. Property was exactly as described! Beautiful house! View from Master Bedroom deck was amazing! Loved the set up of the home. Was perfect for my family. The walk to the beach was so quick! There were beach boards and chairs! We bought a few and left them for others to enjoy!! Lucky to have found this property! We had an amazing 2 weeks!! Jean was so quick to respond to my questions! Hopefully we can stay there again next year!!

We had a great week here! The home is very clean. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was well appointed. The description on VRBO was accurate. The property owner/manager was very friendly and easy to reach. The walk to the beach was very short. It's actually closer than it looks online. We loved having the master bedroom upstairs and the kids' bedrooms downstairs. Perfect space for our week by the sea. We would definitely stay here again!

This was our second time at “At Last.” It was an incredible week. The house was just right for our family. Porch was perfect after long days at the beach. The owner was helpful and responsive any time we needed to reach out. Highly recommend this property, and we hope to be back!

Terrific Long Weekend
We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend stay at "At Last." Great location, with only steps to the beach. The house is on a canal street, but with the maritime forrest and live oaks in the back, you feel like you are in your own private retreat. Jean was extremely kind, communicative, and accommodating and made our stay a breeze. It was the last week of the season and we had perfect weather and low crowds. Enjoyed a steamer pot from Topsail Steamers, which I highly recommend. Beds were comfortable, water pressure great, and couldn't have had a better weekend. Thanks again, and we will definitely be back!

This home is in a great location with quiet neighbors and reasonably priced. The manager was very responsive. The beds were comfortable. We did not make as much use of the screened-in porch as we planned because it was a bit stuffy back there and not as well ventilated as the front porch (ceiling fans could remedy this). I'd advise bringing a sweater because in order to keep the upstairs at a reasonable temperature, the downstairs would often feel chilly when the thermostat was set to 75. Pro tip: for the red-flag days (we had 4 out of 7), you can head to the tip of the island--there's a small public access parking lot--to swim in the super-calm sound or drive to the Wilmington area for calmer/warmer ocean swimming. The only DVD player is upstairs in the master bedroom, which is not ideal for family watching, so if DVDs are important to your group, you might want to bring your own player.

Great beach vacation
The pictures do not do it justice...the beach is even closer than it seems in the pictures. The house was as pictured, very comfortable. Love the beachy decorations. The upstairs bedroom was a bit on the warm side, which is kind of expected in July! The first floor, however, stayed cool with the air conditioner. The kitchen is the only area we were not thrilled with. We bought a knife sharpener because all knives were quite dull; that is probably because there is only a glass cutting board. We also neglected to bring kitchen towels/dishcloths. As a family with 6 adults, we planned all our meals at home. I would bring my favorite frying pan, pot, cooking sheet, cutting board, knife, (large) mixing bowl and kitchen towels. Jean stayed in touch as we were there the week the Storm Elsa came. We were glad to get her info on what to expect during a storm. I would absolutely stay there again.
