Situated in Idyllwild-Pine Cove, this lovely cabin for $288 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. “Old Idyllwild” charm. Authentic mountain cabin built in 1923, right on the edge of Strawberry Creek (literally). You can open any window in the cabin and hear the seasonal creek running through Idyllwild. A short, lovely 10 minute walk (4/10 of a mile) from the center of town. Secluded location hidden from road, surrounded by beautiful grove of pines, redwoods, oaks and dogwoods. A perfect retreat to reconnect and rejuvenate. Home is also walking distance to the local creekside amphitheater. Stop by there on the weekend during the summer to enjoy concerts in the park. Or listen from the back deck the sound of music filtering through the trees. NO PETS ALLOWED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. SERVICE ANIMALS NOT ALLOWED DUE TO HOMEOWNER BEING ALLERGIC. NO EXCEPTIONS. We enjoyed our stay. Very peaceful, quiet location. Problem with getting in, door very difficult. Housekeeper came and showed us the trick to opening. Deck was lovely with the stream right there. We want to come back. Only problem we encountered was most businesses were closed.

The cabin is charming, well equipped, and ideally located. We had a problem with one shower fixture and they sent somebody out to fix it very quickly. I’d be happy to stay there again.

We had a great stay at this great cabin next to the stunning creek. Four of us women got to reconnect and celebrate a friend’s birthday. The deck was absolutely perfect for enjoying our coffee in the morning and our wine and charcuterie in the afternoon. The sounds of the creek were so peaceful and the beds were so comfortable for a great way to recharge on our getaway! I would highly recommend this cabin as will be back!

Great mountain cabin. Plenty of space for our family of five. We had trouble turning on the lights in the main living area at first, but the property manager was very helpful and arranged to send someone out to help us. Luckily we figured it out ourselves.

I don't believe in a love at first sight for people but I do believe in it for places and that's exactly what happened when we arrived here: we fell in love. My mother was already planning our next visit when she first stepped in. The cabin is absolutely beautiful. Everything from the furniture to the decorations to the homely touches encapsulates everything that we love about Idyllwild: it's timelessness, it's humility, it's grace, it's charm, it's simplicity. We are definitely going to return here, sooner rather than later.

My brother and I had a wonderful brother's getaway weekend at this super charming and cozy hidden heaven hideaway. Loved the authentic retro vibes, the babbling creek just outside, woodland visitors on the back deck (had woodpeckers, blue jays, robins and grey squirrels all on the back porch trees at one time). Lots of snow prevented us from driving to town, so we walked. It wasn't far and was quite nice to do so. Everything was comfortable and clean, and the rental company was helpful, friendly and accommodating -- and the rental price was very reasonable, especially in comparison to the big rental sites and other more popular nearby mountain towns. It was our first time to Idyllwild, despite living in LA for most of our lives, and we loved it. Not an 'active' town like Big Bear or Arrowhead. More sleepy, hippie and artistic, which is/was our speed generally anyway. If this cabin allowed dogs, we'd be back with the whole family on a regular basis. But since it doesn't, and we understand that - this is a pristine 1930's cabin - we'll just have to keep it as our brothers-only getaway.

Our stay was okay. We weren’t overwhelmed or underwhelmed. The cabin was a bit musty when we arrived and we had to open every window to clear the smell. Unfortunately the bathroom towels had absorbed some of the odor. We were there with another couple, so there were four of us. We had informed the rental company that we “may” ask some friends visiting the area that weekend, to stop by for apps and a glass of wine, maybe 10 or 12 of us in total. We were told that we were told that the maximum was 6 people but they would allow us 8. Reason being is because the property was on a septic tank. Which seemed so ridiculous. That the owner’s son might see a few people there and report back to his parents, again ridiculous. I told them that we were all over 65, not planning a wild party and I doubted that all 12 people would be using the restroom thus adding any stress on the septic tank. We were paying good money to stay there, but after the whole septic tank discussion, it lost it’s luster.

Hidden Heaven was the quintessential cabin. We stayed for my mom's 83rd birthday and it was just perfect. Comfortable and cozy. It was everything we could have hoped for. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

This is a great vintage cabin for a nice getaway. The kitchen is well equipped, We love the original wood paneling and vintage artwork..Perfect for a vintage property. The deck looks over Strawberry Creek and is cool and shaded. Nice separation between the two bedrooms and two bathrooms, one on each side of the cabin. We will return.

We thought the huge uncovered windows on the front of the house, though there to provide a spectacular view of the trees and landscaping, would make us uncomfortable that anyone could see inside, but we actually were completely hidden from view. The cabin is aptly named "Hidden Heaven". I also have to mention how patient and helpful the property management was with any questions we had. I would highly reccomend this cabin to anyone.
