We usually do a hotel, so this was our first Vrbo house. The owner was fantastic; her communication was quick each time i had a question. The property was exactly as it was described. It was a lot of space. We will be staying again.

The house was lovely and in a beautiful location overseeing the river from many of the rooms. The house was very very clean in a rustic chic way. I could tell the owners out a lot of time and effort in making their home convenient, clean, and beautiful for guests. Check in process was easy. Just a little hard to find the house at night because there’s a long entryway to get to the house so just be know that. Highly recommend especially if you’re in town for a ND football game. Super quick access to the stadium.

Beautiful secluded property that worked out great for a group of guys. Cool interior with everything we needed. 25 minutes to South Bend. Will stay there again for sure.

This property is clearly a beloved family location. We felt grateful for the chance to enjoy all the wonderful things this location has to offer. The visiting children begged to stay over and multiple family members said, "I wished I lived here!" when they arrived. It was a lovely stay and the host was above and beyond. Thank you again, it was so lovely!

Property was unique and well kept. Right on the river too! Lots of fun staying here.

We had a wonderful time at Tara’s property. Secluded enough to “get away” and minutes away from South Bend. The house gave us plenty of room for 8 guys and had a ton of charm. We particularly enjoyed floating the River and hanging out at the sand bar at nearby diamond lake. 10 out of 10 stay!

We spent two days at the house. The listing is as advertised. The house is private, and is on a river and pond.

The property perfectly accommodated the 12 of us. The kids and adults had lots of fun enjoying the outdoors. We were extremely thankful to the property owners for the use of their kayaks, canoes and trails. It was a much needed break from the city life we a used to.

This place is truly one of a kind. It has incredible character and sits on a massive property. There are antiques and interesting features throughout.
Our kids loved it as much as the adults did.

Tara and her son Jordan have been absolutely wonderful during the process of planning a wedding at their property. When the day came, the property was immaculate, the house had any and all odds and ends we needed and Tara was incredibly responsive and helpful. Our 120 guests were floored by “the venue” and all wanted the information to book the house for themselves. My new husband and I cannot wait to return to this magical place and enjoy the property even more. If you’re looking for a amazing place to host an event, or just to visit for the weekend, you will not be disappointed by this beautifully rustic and serene property. There is something for absolutely everyone on this property.

Everything was great! Very relaxing and well kept. Would stay again and recommend.

This house is creatively whimsical, rustic, relaxing, welcoming, enjoyable, and hard to leave! We spent the first moments exploring the outside of the home and discovering unique finds everywhere. The river wraps around the property and offers the comforting sounds of moving waters all day and night. The koi pond with 2 waterfalls is so inviting. The covered bridge, the multiple sitting benches, the slate tables, the wooden outdoor checkers table, and the massively long swing by the pond were so fun to find and enjoy.
Our hosts were so helpful, patient with every question, responsive, and readily available. We all were a bit sad when our weekend came to an end. We truly relaxed there. We enjoyed playing board games, playing Bocce in the large back yard, and watching people float by on rafts and canoes over Father's Day to name a few.
The house has a unique charm and multiple conversation pieces throughout.
Kids can enjoy the playground, inside toys, and playhouse on property- and swing inside the house. The adults enjoyed this as well. :)
Highly recommend this place if you want a laid back, farm life, outdoor, relaxing weekend.

This property is unique. It is on a beautiful wooded lot along the river. The house itself has kind of a cabin feel. It is rustic, but very functional and very comfortable. It certainly is not a cookie cutter home, but we loved it and enjoyed our stay.

This was a great location for a quiet retreat with friends. The property combined rustic charm with modern amenities. Situated along the river and in the midst of forest glades gave an opportunity to explore and reflect in nature. Will definitely seek out if in the area again.

My boys can't wait to go back next year. We have stayed at many Vrbos and we all agreed - this is the best venue ever! The host was very accomodating and very communicative before during and after the stay. We hope to be able to book the same place next year for our annual Notre Dame trip.
Thanks

Tara was very helpful with getting our VRBO acct fixed as we made a reservation with a typo'd email address. She was a great communicator! This property has so much to offer, was very clean and had everything one might need! We would like to come back in warmer weather and enjoy the pond and river! Thanks again!

We loved this property, but we were only there for a short weekend. We needed a lot more time to be able to explore and enjoy all of the features of the indoors and outdoors at the property.

We came down for an ND game and we found this place. There were 4 couples who stayed and still had plenty of room. Very rustic from the outside and what a beautiful inside with all the antiques. We will certainly look this place up again next year. Only a 20 minute drive to Gods Country (Notre Dame)

Can't wait to visit again, the peppery is very private, well equipped, clean and had everything we needed. The first morning we saw 3 deer and wild turkeys in the yard. Highly recommend this property, we will visit again

My family and I loved this beautiful rustic country home. It was a step back in time for some of us and a mystery for the rest. We loved all the beautiful antiques that were all over the house and finding new things everyday. The place has the open floor concept down to a tee and we all felt very comfortable. There was so much room to move around and lots of things to do. We loved feeding the fish in the morning and when it wasn't raining taking walks around the property. I would recommend this place for anyone who likes the quiet country feel! We definitely enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again!

The property is stunning and everyone had such a great time. The home is cozy and welcoming with so much space with comfy beds and a large couch for everyone to relax together! The views from the home are incredible from any window. My nieces (ages 1, 6,and 8) had so much fun! Don't pass this property up if you're looking for a fun quiet get away! The host is incredibly kind. Thank you for such a great stay!

Tara thought of everything. The house was so interesting with so many antique items. Labels were on anything you might wonder about how to use. The grounds were lovely. The Koi pond was great! Swimming with the fish which hid when we were in the water was so pleasant. The river nearby was shallow and we waded along the shoreline. Comfortable sleeping with choices of beds. She really thought of everything to make our stay memorable.

Weekend getaway
Great property to explore, be outside, and be in nature. Able to enjoy time together, have a bonfire, kayak around!
Lost wifi for a bit and got locked out of the house but the host was quick to resolve all issues.
Would recommend!

Girl's Getaway
The property was just what we wanted. We were close enough to all of the things we wanted to do and then come home at night and relax. Plenty of outdoor area for sitting and listening to the river, or the rain in our case! Great walking trails. Lots of living room seating for watching movies. It was a wonderful, quirky weekend getaway spot!

Calming experience
If you’re looking for a getaway, this is the place for you. An excellent location away from it all. Tara was an extremely generous host and the cabin is perfect. The pond is peaceful and the lake running through the back of the property is so exquisite. This isn’t a property you want to pass on.

Wonderful hideaway
We booked this for a quiet bachelorette party for my sister. The house was big and accommodating for our large group and the property was beautiful. The host did a wonderful job preparing the house for us and everything that we could’ve needed was provided.
On the second day of our stay my husband and our 3 children came to the property, we had a blast tubing down the river and swimming and kayaking on the pond.
This property offers so much for a group or family that wants to spend its time in a secluded Michigan spot!

I can't say enough great things about this beautiful, fun and fascinating location. It's not for everyone, but if you are looking for something off the beaten path and like to be outdoors this is the place. The home is filled with history and antiques and stories. You can tell the outdoors has had loving care for decades. Canoeing in the pond was a blast and the river going by is so incredibly relaxing. I can't wait to come back for more than one night.
