Our month stay in Spanish Wells was magical. Susan and Lydia made the process relatively pain free, even with all the COVID requirements that were put in place right before we arrivedThere are on Feb. 1. Lydia took the time to call me in Boulder to assure me that getting on island and testing was not as confusing as it seemed per the Bahama Health Administration website.
The house is in a fantastic location at the west end of the island. It is set back from the beach so it feels very private but you can still see the beautiful ocean from the front windows and patio. The house is older but well maintained and has everything you need for cooking and grilling. The beds were comfortable and the living room had a big comfy wrap around sofa that was easy to nap on. There also is a separate small table in chairs in the corner of the living space where my husband set up his office. There are 2 different outdoor dining areas along with seating for 6 inside too.
We loved having 4 kayaks and a SUP to use and spent time paddling to the islands across from the property. The property comes with lots of beach chairs and even toys and floats for the little guests.
The beach is world class...I loved our 2 mile walk each day and when the tide is out you can walk the sandbar which is located about a 1/2 mile down the beach. Probably our most favorite thing about this property is the fact that you can walk 7 minutes down the beach one way and catch the sunrise and walk 3 minutes down the beach the other way and catch the sunsets. Not many places where you can see both the sunrise and the sunset!
