In 2017, owners Matthew and Renee, completely remodeled The Cottage Attic down to the studs, giving you modern luxuries while keeping to the era of the house, with vintage style tiles, decor, light fixtures and a restored 1950’s vintage refrigerator. Matthew, a sixth generation contractor and craftsman, and Renee, a well loved local artist, have produced a unique, creative space that is beautifully furnished and skillfully crafted. From the fully functional kitchen, stocked with ample amenities and complimentary coffee from a local roaster, to the large, custom walk in shower, to the natural light that floods into the rooms. The Cottage Attic surrounds you with a quaint luxury that is impossible to ignore and easy to enjoy. Located in the heart of Oregon Wine Country, not only is The Cottage Attic a short drive away from hundreds of wineries, it is within walking distance of George Fox University and Downtown Newberg where you will find unique local shops, galleries, antiques, artisan coffee shops, seasonal farmers market, nationally acclaimed restaurants and much more. OMG. this property was absolutely beautiful. the vintage-inspired farmhouse styled decor was not only aesthetically pleasing but functionally pleasing as well. the entire space; inside and out welcomed you. immediately upon entering the door, i felt like i was in a place of comfort and peace. the cottage is five blocks from a very quaint downtown, which was a complimented to my stay. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely and charming place to stay. We were visiting family and this cute place was clean, well stocked, and safe. Parking was right outside the door on the street and the keyless entry was convenient. Truly enjoyed, and will be back.

The Cottage Attic was just wonderful. It had everything we needed and was the perfect place to stay on our way through wine country. The space was well designed and Renee thought of every last detail. She communicated clearly and was the perfect host. I would absolutely recommend this location and will stay again if in the area!

The apartment is cheerfully bright and inviting. We enjoyed the comfortable bedroom, kitchen and living room. Super nice shower and bathroom. Our stay was short, but I can envision an entertaining longer stay as well. There is a lot to do in this part Oregon.

It was so lovely to enter your home and be surrounded with all things that we needed. You went above and beyond by providing all accessories that a person traveling might need (iron to prepare for events, etc) and we loved your business cards on the wall to help us guide where might find a lovely meal, coffee, etc. Thank you.

Do not hesitate to book this place, my husband and I stayed here for a month and it was fabulous. It is super homey / cozy, had everything we needed, walking distance from the main street in downtown Newberg, and such amazing hosts!!! The internet was great, the kitchen had everything we needed, and there was so much natural light in the bedroom. Oh and the shower was huge - possibly our favorite feature of the whole place! This is a great place for a stay in Newberg no matter the occasion.

This attic suite was perfect. It was centrally located to all the places we went in Newberg, and going up into this attic felt like we were leaving it all behind. It was cozy yet roomy, nicely appointed and tastefully decorated and had all the amenities we could ask for.

Charming, cozy, comfortable and absolutely everything you'll need. We found ourselves wishing we could extend our trip just so we could hang out in the unit for a day. Renee was easy to work with and flexible on check in time. Our only issue was the refrigerator froze our food. We only stayed one night so didn't have a chance to get it adjusted. But don't let that keep you away - I'm sure Renee can correct.
We'd definitely stay here again.

The word “charming” really describes this place. It’s got a vintage vibe with is dormer window seats, bed under the eaves, retro fridge, tiling and color scheme, and it is so clean and well done. All the best points of an older home are emphasized and all the downsides were either eliminated or remodeled. For example, old houses usually have cramped bathrooms but this one was spacious, with a huge walk-in shower. The modern upgrades made everything feel luxurious and up-to-date, like top-quality bedding and a great mattress, powerful showerhead, working appliances, and temperature control in each room. The view out the windows makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time to the 1940s, with quaint old houses and mature trees and shrubs in well manicured yards. Last, the little touches were noticeable…fresh coffee beans from a local roaster and a French press, new dishes that matched, nice toiletries, cute fridge magnets of all the local sites and restaurants worth trying, fun games and wholesome movies. It was so quiet and we slept great. Would definitely recommend. The only downside was having to climb the staircase with our suitcases. Once that was done, we settled in and enjoyed.

Great location, close to George Fox University and some very good coffee shops and eateries. Hosts where very accommodating, I had a vary late arrival and they made sure I was able to find accommodation easily. Will be back if I get the chance to visit Newberg again.

What a perfect little space to stay while in town for a quick trip. Renee’s space was close to a number of coffee shops, restaurants, and vineyards that made for a wonderful trip. The space was clean and welcoming with easy, private access. Would definitely recommend a stay at this location!

So nicely laid out with so many charming touches. A spacious bedroom area, kitchen/eating area and couch/lounging area. Felt right at home. Some of the angled ceilings were a bit challenging for my 6’3” husband but he navigated well and would definitely return. Highly recommend.
