About this apartment rental
The Spa on Port Royal sound is a gated resort, located in the "heel" of this beautiful, foot-shaped island. It is found at the end of Beach City Road, in a quiet, secluded, natural setting but very close to anything you need.
This first floor condo has been newly renovated throughout. There is a well-stocked kitchen with new appliances and new bathrooms, both with tubs and showers. Both the master bedroom & guest bedrooms have comfortable beds. The living room and bedrooms have wall-mounted flat-screen TVs and there is a DVD player in the living room. The condos have Wi-Fi. We provide high quality towels and linens including beach towels. Everything you need is here including soaps, detergents for dishes, dishwasher and laundry, paper towels, and toilet paper. Should there be a day with rain, you can also enjoy family board games, or choose a book from our "mini" library ( take a book to keep and/or leave a book!) There is a fully remodeled inside pool in the middle of our complex as well as a hot tub and sauna & fitness room with new equipment. The dining area can seat 6 people with 2 extra wooden folding chairs in guest room closet. The lanai is a cozy, new & comfortable space to relax, with new opening windows with screens.
The Spa has 2 outdoor pools, (one near the beach,) as well as the heated indoor pool, all with bathrooms and Wi-Fi. The complex has many charcoal grills and picnic tables scattered throughout the grounds and 3 tennis courts as well as a basketball court and small playground. It's a 3-4 minute stroll to the private, natural beach, or you can drive & park if you have a lot to carry. At the beach there is a pier, with seating. It's a fun place to explore, fish from shore or go clamming. Hilton Head Island completed a sand renourishment program in June 2016, which happens every 10 years. If you want to spend a day on a traditional public beach with lifeguards, there are 3 or 4 located close by within a 5 minute drive.

We had a great stay at this condo for six days with our two young kids. It had everything we needed, and the location was very convenient. Most of the stores and restaurants we wanted to visit were within a 10-20 minute drive.Our kids especially enjoyed the pools. The only challenge was that they were often quite crowded, making it difficult at times to find chairs by the outdoor pools. This is certainly not a reflection on the condo or the owners, but it may be something to keep in mind if swimming is a big part of your vacation plans.The beach access was very close and convenient. While it wasn’t the best spot for swimming due to it being a natural beach, we enjoyed walking the beach and looking for shells. We found the water in that area to be less clean than we preferred, so we chose to drive to Burkes Beach (10 min away) for our beach days. It was much less crowded than Coligny Beach, so we had a very easy time setting up there and staying for most of the day. Parking there does require a fee, which is worth considering when planning your trip. It worked well for us, though it was our first beach vacation where we needed to load up and drive to the beach. Overall, we were very happy with our stay. The condo was comfortable, well-equipped, and in a great, quiet location. We would absolutely choose to stay here again, and you can tell the Carlsons take great pride in making their condo feel like a home away from home. Thank you, Carlsons, for a wonderful stay!

When I tell you the Carlson's have thought of everything to make vacation easier on you, they really have! Their housekeeper Lori is amazing at accommodating you as quickly as she can, and if you love fishing she has all the information you need!!!! The condo was accommodating easily for the 5 of us, and so clean and cute! We had all our beach amenities supplied by the hosts and that made life so much simpler. We will be booking again for future visits to hhi! This part of the island is so quiet and peaceful and free of worry. The natural beach is so fun to explore and relax on its great for small kids and kids who love nature!!!!

This was a very cozy and comfortable place to stay. The kitchen was well stocked the owner very nice and easy to communicate with. They even left us a small meal and a card as a celebration of our marriage. Nice grounds a walk to the ocean with a beautiful pier and swing. Place very quit and great location!!!
