I have returned to Silver Sands for many, many years. My late husband and I were married on the beach there! The accommodations are perfect and we love the shed that provides all of our beach necessities. The cottages provide everything for my family to prepare meals, do laundry, and towels for the beach. Our Florida family comes to visit and they always love SS as much as we do.

Overall very impressed and happy with the property. A couple of suggestions would be to add a TV to the master bedroom, i would move the main TV and get a larger one for the living room area. Fan in the master bedroom was not working and would have been useful during the stay.

We loved our stay at the Silver Sands. Inside you have everything needed included. The only changes i could recommed would be to add a Keurig & blackout blinds to the king size bedroom window where the morning sun comes in. Great communication from all involved. With just a short walk to the beach & chairs, umbrellas, etc all included made for an easy vacation! We would definitely stay again!

Still great but slightly less than previously. Some of the beach equipment (umbrellas especially) were had to use or broken. No sand toys like previously or carts to take stuff to the beach. The initial stairs and path need to be made so it's easier to walk or pull a beach wagon. Still great place but for the price needs a few more amenities.

Overall had a great experience. Staff was friendly and helpful. Access to the beach is always good. Room was nicely decorated. Only knit picky thing, cable really didn't work, only had a few channels, when we arrived room smelled off. Went away after a couple of days and the toilet was a little temperamental. Minor knit picks aside this place is a nice get away that's off the beaten path.

This place was so special. It was very quiet and peaceful. It was very clean. It was stocked with everything you need. They had everything we needed. It even had beach chairs, umbrellas, anchors, and toys. The staff was amazing and friendly. The beach was just a short walk down a beautifully landscaped path. We did wish we could see the beach from our unit, but that was only a minimal disappointment given all of the other unexpected touches.

Clean, well maintained cottage on beautiful property. Short walk to the beach through a well lit, maintained path. They supply all the chairs, umbrellas, beach toys etc. They even supply a small a cooler and beach bag. We would definitely stay again.

This property was exactly as described and very clean. The space was more than enough for my sister, niece and me and we were able to cook some meals with ample tools. Hostess was very friendly and met us on the first day. Everything we could ask for and more- like plenty of cleaning supplies and even a first aid kit ( which thankfully we didn't need.) Walking distance to beach and holiday decorations made it a destination I would like to come back to!

I saw it was closest to the road, and it was noisy. The pictures make it look like there’s privacy, but not much. The walk to the beach is not bad, but there are 22 steps, steep steps to get down to the beach. It was not populated though, almost like having our own private beach. Found awesome shells, several conks and a super cool Pen Shell. Great places to eat nearby. Commander’s Seafood Camp, we ate outside By their food truck by the water. Great service!

Everything was perfect! A little retro cottage off the beaten path was just great for us. Three days was not enough. Great effort to be eco-friendly. Basic supplies were readily available. My litmus test is "Would I book again?" and the answer is ABSOLUTELY!

Our stay at Silver Sands was perfect. We had a spacious clean living quarters. We enjoyed the beach and the Florida State Parks. We also loved visiting St. Augustine. This get away is very close to Fort Matanzas. Located on scenic A1A, you will like this scenic highway.

The “direct beach access” is not for anyone with mobility issues! A beautiful canopy but filled with many trip hazards that ends in a 12 foot high walkway to a set of 18 stairs at a scary angle. The young and those without any challenges of walking or climbing might love this place but younger children and the person dealing with arthritis or general weakness will have a hard time seeing the sunrise over the ocean.

Property is landscaped with tile murals and the 500-foot mangrove tunnel to the beach. (well, it's probably not 500', and might not be mangroves, but it is a lovely walk thru a living green tunnel). it was a quiet place to be and play.

Kemp cottage is a great place for relaxing. With its fully equipped kitchen, you will have no trouble preparing a meal, and it’s just a short drive to St. Augustine and it’s great restaurants! The beach is beautiful and almost secluded! Everything you need for relaxing on the beach is provided, so all you need to bring with you is a swimsuit, flip flops, and sunscreen!!!

We really enjoyed the location and the privacy. It is incredible, the ease of being able to walk to the beach multiple times throughout the day and also spotting gopher turtles along the way. We stayed at the Kemp cottage this time, last time was the Pelican cottage. We chose Kemp because there were more of us staying and it allowed for my husband and I to stay in the room with the King and our daughter stay in the room with two large beds. It is not far from Marineland where you can schedule to swim with dolphins and it is very close to Matanzas Fort. We enjoyed eating at Commander's for seafood and Viola's for Italian (suggest reservations if not getting take out). The manager is very kind and attentive to the needs of the guests. The cottage area is quiet and peaceful.

I would return to Silver Sands in a heartbeat. The location is to die for with close proximity to the beach and a private beach at that. The cottage was wonderful and very clean! The property manager was wonderful work with! I would most definitely stay again!

Super comfortable, immaculately clean and well appointed “toes in the sand” beach cottage. Hate to let the secret out! Loved our stay and the beautiful, quiet stretch of beach that Silver Sands is located on. Short walk to beach path with gorgeous views of Atlantic ahead. Just be aware that Kemps Cottage is the closest cottage to A1A (though road noise is minimal) and the patio is ungated so little kids must be watched at all times! We had so much fun regardless and look forward to our next trip!

We loved the Silver Sands-it's a great location if what you're seeking is a beautiful, uncrowded beach, a charming and quiet setting and the opportunity to meet some kind people. We stayed for a week and are planning to come back- it was the best location for enjoying the beach and then a short trip to all the sites in the area. Highly recommended this gem of a spot.
