About this house rental
Nestled in Seaside, this charming house for $250 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Our beach cottage offers the best of both worlds: Quiet north-end neighborhood and very close to Seaside's beautiful beach and famous Promenade! You can walk and/or bike anywhere in town from here. The Cottage has beautiful coastal images throughout. A comfortable over sized sofa (works great to sleep on), over sized love seat, one chair and two rocker/recliners sit in the living room, which also boasts an electric fireplace & large flat-screen TV. Excellent WiFi throughout. The small dining table seats 8, and the kitchen is fully stocked. All beds have comfortable & (new 2023) mattresses, 2" memory foam toppers, linens and extra blankets, plus an additional sleeping area in Family Room with a queen Murphy Bed with 6" Memory foam mattress and two sleeping pads to comfortably sleep up to 9. Laundry room, games, puzzles, books and movies are available for guest use. The family room has a leather couch, two comfortable chairs, large flat screen TV/DVD, electric fireplace, ping pong table, magnetic dartboard, and a folding game table with felt cover. Supplies includes clam guns for those special low tides as well as crabbing gear and an outdoor crab cooker. Our Cottage is three blocks to the easiest spot to crab- the 12th Avenue bridge. Just drop your pots, go back to the house to relax and walk back a few hours later for your dinner! (License is required for both crabbing and clamming.) There is also a Weber outdoor grill and personal outdoor fire pit in the private fully fenced front yard. Firewood supplied! There is even a playhouse for the kids! There are beach chairs, a beach blanket for the sand to keep you comfortable on the beach, and plastic sand toys for kids stored in the shed. Everyone loves the beach in the sunshine, but on those rainy days, there is no lack of attractions. In addition to amenities/activities at the Cottage, the City of Seaside offers the Aquarium, galleries, arcade games, an outlet mall, a movie theater, a recreation center with two heated indoor pools and a beautiful library with puppet theater for your kids. The Convention Center has various activities throughout the year. Nearby Astoria and Cannon Beach have lots to offer as well.

We got this house for a sister gathering for a long weekend. There was enough room for everyone and we love to cook and this kitchen is one of the better stocked places I’ve stayed at. The space is really comfortable and Kathy and Wayne were fabulous communicators and I can’t say enough good about this place. We are returning guests and we would definitely recommend staying here. You will love it!

This HOME was perfect for us! It was incredibly CLEAN, well organized, extremely cozy and so much fun for the kids! My brothers family came to spend time with us from Louisville, KY. This was the first time the kids got to see the Pacific Ocean! And …. They went in!!! We had hot tub time, made s’mores and simply ENJOYED! Thank you so much for this time @ your HOME! The hot tub is wonderful after walking the Portland to Coast relay. Beds are super comfy. The house is always clean. I love receiving the gifts of coffee and wine. We came all the way from NY to spend some time with family who have recently moved to OR. The house is the perfect size, there was plenty of room for all, and 2 bathrooms. We had a 9 year old and 3 year old and they had a blast playing with all the toys in the family room. The beds were comfortable and the house clean and well stocked. 3 min walk down the road and you are on rhe dunes already. The beach is breathtakingly beautiful. The town of Seaside is an easy walk or drive and has tons for the kids to do, and lots of restaurant choices. We had a great time here!

Everything was just as described and Kathy was a super communicator! We had to change our dates and she was very accomodating and responsive to my messages. The house is just a couple of blocks from the beach and a block from the promenade. Loved having the hot tub and ping pong table! We'd definetly stay here again!

Our family stayed in the Cottage by the Sea for a week. Our granddaughter had a dance competition to attend. The moment we walked thru the front gate we felt very welcomed a d comfortable. Cozy home with everything you need. We enjoyed the firepit nightly. We will definitely try to book this home again.

Everything about the place is ideal, it's conveniently located to the beach, the promenade, and downtown Seaside. The house itself is very nice and cozy with lots of options for relaxing or entertainment. We rolled out the ping pong table this trip and had a great time but we also enjoyed sitting by the fire in the firepit and soaking in the hot tub. Kathy and Wayne are wonderful hosts and have thought of everything as evidenced by their well-stocked cottage. All-in-all just a wonderful experience!

We really enjoyed this house! First time we have actually stayed So close to downtown and we loved that. The hot tub was so nice in the evening after walking back from the beach, and the we used the crab pots and caught our own dinner! That was so fun and memorable. This house was so well stocked and truly has all you need. Very clean and the neighborhood was so peaceful. Also we loved having a fire as well out front. Perfect family time. Would definitely recommend this home.

Our stay at the Cottage by the sea wasn’t long enough! But I can say I was throughly impressed with all the accommodations this place has to offer! It’s very good for kids, my son loved the Murphy bed and the ping pong table! He felt like he had a huge room all to himself! The amount extra amount of towels, pillows and blankets is always a plus! It’s literally right down the road from the entrance to the beach which is great with kids! Thanks again for a great end to our spring break!

Absolutely loved staying at this home! We had 3 generations staying there with a total of 5 people, between ages 5-58, and all of us loved this home! Plenty of room, kids even had separate room to play in that had a second TV, DVDs, games, ping pong table and magnet darts! Which was great since I stayed for a week and the kids get a bit restless when weather is bad! Walk to beach was so quick and easy! Walk into town wasn’t bad either! I wouldn’t have done so with my littles just because they get a bit whiny! But a couple of the adults walked downtown to check out a local bar one evening and had no issue getting there and back on foot - just 15 mins each way! Everything was well stalked and thoughtfully laid out and planned. Communication was great with owners! Washing machine had an issue and they were very quick to respond. They also contacted me when a concern in the neighborhood came up just to ensure I was feeling safe and comfy - which I was! No issues whatsoever. Hot tub was such a fun addition! Beds were comfortable, couches were cozy. I can’t say enough great things about this property! We are all very excited to return!

With this being our last trip to this part of the Oregon Coast we couldn't have been more pleased. This home was very cozy and inviting. Plenty of room for us to relax and spread all of our traveling crap around. Awesome access to the beach and walk way to the Boardwalk. The house and weather had made this trip one to remember. We very much enjoyed our stay in this wonderful house! EXTREMELY well stocked kitchen with literally anything you could need, perfect location away from the hustle of the main area but close enough to walk there, comfy beds and even a woodpile so you can make s'mores.

We loved this house, it has two living rooms, so there's plenty of space for everyone to chill. The hot tub was nice and clean, and the fire pit was a definite bonus (plus they provide firewood). It was bright and well-organized, perfect for us. We would definitely rent this again.

I love Seaside
I've only vacationed in Seaside for about 60 years, but I think my sample size makes it is safe to say that Kathy & Wayne's Cottage fits the bill for vacation. It is less than a block to the beach and around the corner from the Prom, so it is quiet. The house is well provisioned for cooking inside and out and to enjoy the fire pit on cool beach evenings. There is plenty of indoor space to spread out on those rainy days that happen. It is a great place to stay!

6 Days In Paradise!
We spent 6 days at The Cottage By The Sea with our son, daughter in law and 2 grandchildren. My 6 year old grandson called it “6 days in paradise” and he was right on. The cottage is lovely, spotlessly clean, and decorated just like a beach cottage should be. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to make great meals. We were in walking distance to town and had a ball playing in the arcade, riding bumper cars and eating delicious clam chowder.
The cottage is stocked games, (for all ages), books, DVDs, a ping pong table, magnetic dart board and more so on rainy days we cozied up inside and everyone had fun.
There is a large hot tub that we didn’t have the pleasure of trying but we will definitely be back and will enjoy it next time.
We also had the chance to meet the kind owners, Wayne and Kathy. They are the nicest couple! So easy to do business with them, they are professional yet kind and friendly.
We will definitely be back to enjoy Cottage By The Sea!
