Great variety and quality of food, even pizza. Entertainment experiences were pleasant in the evening.
Almost demanding for tips, all staff wanted to sign up you for something. Furniture is not quite clean, shore is covered in seaweed.

Room service food was very good.
We were assigned a butler named Carlos he was very attentive.
Route 66 food was very good. Ribs were very tender. Check in and check out was very smooth, our housekeeper follow instructions amazingly, we requested more water and it was restocked everyday.
Steakhouse service was slow and cuts were overcooked.
PiƱa colada was very sweet.
Lack of variety in the buffet, 4 days and everything was the same everyday for breakfast and lunch.
OJ was only available at breakfast
Mikes coffee wasn't good, pastries were also very industrial taste like filling wa spouted out of a bag.
Had WC leak the entire stay, they "fixit" began leaking water 20 mins alter non stop.
A/C kinda took off in the middle of the night make it a bit warm.

Clean, plenty of activities, great pools

The room was spacious, the balcony with the hanging chair was nice, the pools were good, and it had a private beach with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. The cocktails were really good and the bell boys were helpful and hospitable.
This is not just an Adults Only hotel, it's a huge resort with a section for adults only. The main lobby, buffet, restaurants, activities, everything is shared with families. There are 2 pools with pool bars at the adults only section and a much smaller restaurant with less options for food. This is to be aware of when you book - we weren't.
I enquired about gluten free options after I booked and had to ask 4 times before someone finally replied. Already a bad sign but they reassured me they cater for GF diet. It was a really bad decision. Although they did have GF baguettes for breakfast (very dry and not tasty), but none of the food options was labelled! The Blue Moon restaurant was a disaster! Inconsistent gluten free markings on the menu (this was a theme across all their restaurants and allergy filter that doesn't work), I've been served onion soup with bread in it, the beef tartar my partner had came with rock hard bread, the meat was so chewy he couldn't eat it! Service was extremely slow too! Steakhouse was much better, but in general this resort has a long way to improve food quality and customer service across the board. As we complained all we got was a sorry and on our second to last day they arranged a meeting with the head chef, who said we should tell them in advance which restaurant we go to and when so they'll have someone there to explain GF options. Based on their explanation my feeling was that GF means doesn't contain flour, but it doesn't seem like they have a clue about things that could contain gluten e.g. mayo. Staff doesn't really know about GF in general. One day I was told the cheesecake is GF the other day I was told it's not. If you're a celiac, don't stay here.
AC in the room was loud, noise can be heard outside the room, and I wouldn't call this a 5 star place with paint marks on tiles, toilet seat not matching the shape of the toilet and installed crooked.
