This 1938 art deco DUPLEX home was purchased in June of 2012 by Jimmy Brattain, owner of Design Works and has been under renovation every since. An award winning designer and builder, Mr. Brattain has brought his family's history to life in the quaint town of Gulfport, FL. The concept of the property was inspired by the memory of his grandmother and love of his grandfather who moved to Gulfport after WW11.
The property features a shared pool, private courtyard and parking for two vehicles, custom finishes, such as original murals, crown molding, pecky cypress ceiling, custom fabric backed banquette seating, floor to ceiling marble bathroom, custom lighting including LED recessed lights, ceiling fans, stainless steel appliances including microwave, quartz counter tops, porcelain faux wood flooring, DVD player, wireless Internet, flat screen TV's, washer/dryer, private courtyard, parking for 2 vehicles.
Come stay in a Ralph Lauren inspired space or for the more adventurous, a Hollywood Glam interior is more your style. The property can also be rented for private parties and weddings, both units sleep a total of 10; all 2 blocks from over 18 restaurants & bars and 3 blocks from Boca Ciega Bay and 10 minutes from beautiful St. Pete. Beach.

Excellent location, great communication and helpful host, very clean and well equipped accommodation. Loved the bikes and loads of towels ect and coffee and other useful kitchen stuff.The shared pool was great but not ideal, the next door people played loud rock music on the pool sound system and we were unable to get the system to work for us from our side when they were not there, but we had our own speakers we brought with us and played music from our phone.The decor is different and interesting but there are a number of potential hazards, particularly the glass table top in the kitchen which we ended putting a tea towel on to remind us not to bump into it, like wise the glass coffee table in the lounge.

What a great find! My daughters and I enjoyed everything about this place...decor, pool, location. It was a very short walk to restaurants and shops. We had a great stay and would love to stay here again in the future.

Beautiful modern home walking distance from downtown. Host was attentive and responsive. The pool was a nice bonus.
