We were having a Christmas Reunion at our own family home nearby, and rented the house for some of our family members. Without a doubt it is one of the most wonderful places we have ever rented. So clean, so beautiful, so well organized and well stocked, so pleasant to relax by the fire, on the deck, etc. We will be back!!!

The property is everything you could ask for. Our favorite parts were the deck with a view of the ocean and the fireplace in the living room. There is everything there you could need and the beds were comfy. It was great.

This was a very well equipped and very clean rental! The layout of the house was perfect for our family. They even had some cute stuffed animals for the children to play with!
When we arrived there was a small issue with a window shade. The property manager quickly sent a handyman who fixed it and found another screen door needing attention and he fixed that too.
We highly recommend this rental and will definitely consider it for future family visits to Cambria.

We are part time Cambria residents and we rented this house for use by family members coming to visit for a weekend whom we did not have space to accommodate in our home. The location was perfect and the house was clean and very well set up. The view from the deck is excellent and the house was warm and welcoming. I recommend this house highly and we will likely rent it again when we have more visitors that our home can accommodate.We had two minor issues:1. Internet was not working when we arrived and it took awhile to find the internet router to re-boot it. Once we did that, it worked fine.2. The bunk bed in one of the bedrooms really only sleeps one person as the lower bunk is very close to the upper bunk (hazard of knocking one's head if one sits up at night.) I understand from the property management company that the owner has already ordered a different kind of bunk bed for this room.

This was probably the tenth time we have stayed in this great house! Unfortunately, our last. The 3rd bedroom switched from 2 twins to a queen bottom bunk, with a twin bunk over it! Getting into the queen bed that is raised off the ground for storage underneath was a problem! And the bunk on top left minimal space. for the queen sleeper-head banging and claustrophobic! The top bunk is way to high and you have to use the bottom bunk to get up in it! Doesn't work 4 ladies! Luckily the new couch was comfortable for the 4th sleeper.

I have stayed with CVR many times over close to 20 years. This stay was a hassle, and unsatisfactory. I had important Zoom meetings and the internet kept going down. The television kept going down. We spent a couple of nights without hot water in the downstairs bathroom. The hot water problem was fixed, and the individual who was in charge of fixing the internet did a good job, but it was a constant hassle. We did not get a restful stay, it was very tense the entire time due to the internet problem. I called the "emergency" number more times in this one visit than in all the other times I've stayed in a CVR, which were as many as 4 times per year, from around 2002. We were disappointed and think that some compensation should be offered for the hassles we had to go through.

We had a great stay at Berwick at Wales in Cambria. This place is completely stuck in the early 90s in every way, which in an odd way makes it feel like home. It's a great space with high ceilings, three spacious rooms, and nice separation between downstairs and upstairs. It's really ideal for a family with the two bedrooms downstairs, but would work well for a 2-3 couples as well. It's also walking distance to a couple of trails and has a beautiful ocean view.
It was a pretty clunky experience to have to go pick up and drop off a key from a separate property management office in town. Like the house the property management could use a modern update. There are so many ways to safely provide keys to renters at the home and use online signatures for paperwork. Overall I still think the rental can upgrade a few things, but if you are looking for a decently priced clean and comfortable stay this is a great option.

We've stayed in this home several times. To us, it's like coming home each time. Comfortable, well furnished (love the grand piano!) through-out. Kitchen equipment is top shelf. Deer walk through the yard each afternoon, street is quiet, view of the ocean less each year as the trees grow taller but we can still see it.

House was spacious and in a great location. Beds were comfortable. Only complaints, no wine glasses. Not enough glassware in general. There was lots of leftover food in the fridge when we got there. And old dated spices, sugars, baking goods in the cabinet. Finally not really a big deal, but all of the electronics were very dated, so we were tuning into local radio on the stereo, or listening to music huddled around our phones.

Gals getaway
This house was perfect for the 3 of us. We had our own room and lots of space. The house is well equipped and super cozy. The area is so peaceful and quiet. We had beautiful hikes and we will return again!

Bedbugs and Spiders
Upon first look, this home seemed wonderful. The well appointed kitchen, lots of space, and a beautiful location make this home a great stay...until you climb into bed at the end of a ling day at the beach. That's when the issues began. We had already noticed there were spiderwebs everywhere, but attributed it to tue fact that the house is in a woody area and seemed to have been emoty for a bit. No big deal. But upon pulling back the sheets on the downstairs beds, we noticed tiny little bugs that we later learned were bedbugs!!! Unfortunately we didn't realize this until the 3rd night, and by that point had already been bitten several times. When contacting the property rental company, we were told they were just "roly pollies" and dismissed. I sent pictures of the bugs to a pest control company who confirmed my fears. We finished our last night on the couch, concerned about bringing some unwanted souvenirs home in our luggage. Before you book a stay here, please make sure they have gotten new boxsprings, matresses and had a pest control company rid the home of these pests.

The master bedroom mattress was bouncy, you could feel the spring bouncing every time you turn in bed. No other concerns with the house. This was a fantastic home, great price, and a super short drive to the only suggestion would be to upgrade the master and lower bedroom queen mattresses.For as nice as the home is, the mattresses are horrible!Upstairs has a lump in the middle of the bed. Also it was unusually hot upstairs when we were there , no fans and couldn't get AC to move any air.
