About this bed and breakfast
Wake up to the sound of waves crashing on the beach, grab your surfboard and walk down to the best surf spot in the South Bay. Or simply breath in the fresh ocean air and relish the fabulous perfect sunny weather and laid back attitude that Southern California is famous for. There are great restaurants within walking distance and "The Strand" sidewalk that runs north and south for 26 miles along the beach. If you like to be active, you won't need a car.
Our cozy property was built in 1932, purchased in 2002 and is very well maintained. We've managed to keep all the charming elements of an older property while remodeling the essentials over the past 2 decades.
The kitchen includes every major appliance except a dishwasher (fridge, stove, microwave, toaster oven, blender, coffee maker, etc.) and is fully stocked with everything you'll need to create a fantastic meal (dishes, glasses, pots, pans, cooking utensils, etc.).
The living room includes a cozy sectional couch in front of a 55" Smart HDTV. Watch over 100+ local and national stations on YouTube TV or stream your favorite shows (on Netflix, Prime Video, Apple TV, etc). Remote workers can setup devices at the laptop workstation and access Verizon FIOS high speed WiFi. A color printer/scanner is also available.
There's a Tempurpedic queen mattress in the bedroom with plush pillows and high end linens. A full size bedroom closet with built in organizer includes plenty of hangers for personal belongings. French doors in the bedroom lead out to a cozy deck with an outdoor dining area.
The floors are hardwood and tile throughout.
The bathroom includes a walk-in shower with removable shower head, glass shower door, single floating sink, toilet, and medicine cabinet. Behind the bathroom door you'll find shelves filled with plush bath towels, beach towels and a hair dryer.
As with the vast majority of houses in North Manhattan Beach, our home does not have air conditioning. If there is a heatwave in the summer, homes can get hot and we want everyone to be aware of this in advance. There are ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom for summer months.
If you need to park a car, there is 1 dedicated parking spot in the driveway. We highly recommend a compact car for this parking space.

Great getaway studio apartment, well maintained and very clean. We loved the access to the washer/dryer and the housekeeping every two weeks. Well stocked kitchen with many pots and pans. Just steps to the beach, we hardly missed the gorgeous sunsets. Neighborhood was very quiet and friendly. The Wi-Fi, dvr and TV was very much appreciated. We would highly recommend this location!

This charming little hidden gem is perfectly located one block from the beach and is only about 10 min from LAX. It was exactly as pictured on the website, very clean, quiet, well stocked, and the owner was quickly responsive to a few questions. We never needed heat or air because the temperature was perfect! Loved the hardwood floors and tile and ceiling fans. Having a washer and dryer available was also very convenient. The wifi, dvr and TV also made it easy to stay connected. The location was very walkable to all of MB. Since we stayed for over a month, we joined the Easton Gym, which is only four blocks away. Awesome classes and equipment. We frequented the Fish Bar on Highland, also only a few blocks away. The proximity to the beach made daily walks on the strand and down to the pier a breeze. After discovering a weekly Tuesday Farmers Market, we walked down to 13th St each week, for the freshest CA produce and food stands, then stopped in at Lemonade on Manhattan Beach Blvd, for a fresh lemonade before we walked back to our little place. There is also a Trader Joe's on Rosecrans, about 5 min away. Access to the 405 and 105 is also nearby, which made zipping over to Hollywood quite easy to visit our daughter. We also toured the USS Iowa in Long Beach, drove up to the Simi Valley, checked out great restaurants in nearby Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach. Santa Monica and Malibu are just up the PCH. There was so much to do and see, or if we wanted to just relax we just did that too. The only major problem we had was at the very end of our stay, and that was we didn't want to leave!!! We would highly recommend this property.
