Our stay for 2023 Christmas with 6 adults and 1 baby was great! The family room/kitchen is an open concept with great light. The porch/3 season room was nice for those who needed to work as well as for the dogs. The bedrooms have nice windows and have a nice cozy feel. Overall, our stay was a good one.

We love finding places that offer a peaceful and serene atmosphere and this house is just that inside and out! The host was wonderful, the house is clean, stylish, and full of all the needed amenities. The lake is spectacular! We’ve already recommended this to our friends and hope to visit again. Thank you!

The conditions of the bathrooms and other rooms were embarrassing. Only the pictures can describe the run down condition. My family was appalled and did not use the bathrooms and showers. The overall rating for this listing was clearly obtained by cherry picking only the positive reviews. I do not expect this to be posted and will likely be swept aside. I stayed here in Feb and the terrible experience is still fresh in my mind. 4.9 out of 5 is laughable. The pictures tell it all, I wish this review would allow attachments.

The location and home are awesome! This was our second stay and we will definitely be back. The area, house and water are so, so inviting. The only things that need improvement, are the basic supplies, such as paper towels, dish detergent, dish washer detergent, trash bags. Also, the propane tanks. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

This was our second time staying in this house and it is spectacular. The kids love the double loft beds, foosball and water activities. The adults loved the tranquil lake, spotting the resident bald eagle, and enjoying being active on the lake. Love this house!

8 of us took a weekend trip for my daughter’s Bachelorette. We had an incredible time. Views were gorgeous and drive to New York City for a day was easy. Would love to come back when it’s warmer to take advantage of the lake.

This was our second stay at "The Point" and we've already booked for next year. Our crew included a 2 year old and a 94 year old plus two dogs who love to swim. The house was so clean upon arrival and the host thoughtfully left a couple of bottles of local wine as well as enough paper and cleaning products so that we did not have to drop and shop. The kitchen was well equipped and linens were clean and fresh smelling. We really appreciated the gorgeous views from the house, large rooms spaces and abundant seating as well as the selection of floating vessels available to us! But the piece de resistance is the gazebo at the point. Used regularly for early morning meditation and evening nightcap watching the sun set over the lake. Can't wait for June 2024!

Beautiful spacious home and location as well as very clean and the gardens beautiful and well groomed. Saw 2 Bald Eagles right across the lake on top of a dead branch of a pine tree and a beautiful black bear from the car on our way back from church. Very relaxing and serene. There are plenty of water toys and life jackets for all sizes to enjoy being out on the lake. I would love to come back here again!

We stayed with our adult son for Christmas to be close to family. The house is just as described and the views of the lake were amazing. The kitchen is well stocked and there were plenty of linens/ blankets. It was extremely cold outside but the house was cozy. We enjoyed watching ice skaters on the lake and had a wonderful Christmas!

Owner and contact person both very responsive and a pleasure to deal with. We had rain our entire stay but still enjoyed the beautiful views of the lake nonetheless. When we arrived it reminded me of a resort with all of these little tucked in spaces to lead you to a spot to enjoy the surrounding nature.

We were pleased with the ample living room seating space, nice bedrooms, comfortable and spacious sunroom and large indoor dining area. We brought our own towels and bed sheets but there were plenty of each in the closets. The house has the most fantastic views of a gorgeous lake. We spent most of our time enjoying the lake from the patio with large outdoor table, the lower patio and the dock. Row boat, canoe, paddle boards, kayaks and paddle boats were enjoyed by all. We made a few runs to the well stocked local Acme supermarket for additional (food, etc) supplies.
The only negatives were that the pots, pans and cooking utensils stored in the cabinets were dirty and had not been washed. Additionally, in the middle of the first night of our stay, it sounded like a smoke detector or alarm was going off in the house. Eventually, the alarm stopped. There was also a leak in the basement. We called and emailed the caretaker several times to alert him to the alarm and to the leak but he never responded which was quite disappointing. It would've been nice to have a dependable contact in case of emergency or questions. Other than that, we enjoyed our visit to this property tremendously and will return.

The property was just as advertised. We loved everything about it. Will definitely stay here again if we all make it back to NJ together again. Clean, neat, easy to get to and from, lots of fun toys. Only wish it had been summer. This would be the house to rent in summer!

The house is beautiful. Every room has a view of the lake. Its a hour drive from Staten island. I love staying here and I would highly recommend.

Great for big family groups
Have stayed here three times with extended family. Very well maintained. Lots of seating and eating areas, inside and out. Kids love paddling in the boats to the beach and playground on the mainland, and toasting smores at the firepit. Grownups enjoy the scenic views over a beautiful lake. If you're looking to eat out, the closest town (Vernon) doesn't offer much; Warwick NY is only 20 minutes away and has lots of interesting restaurants.

I absolutely love this vacation rental- super-clean, private, comfortable, beautiful and gorgeous views of the lake surrounding the property. The owners and Trudy are wonderful! I love that there are multiple areas to relax with more than enough boating equipment and seating. Love the bbq grill, fire pit, and hammock. We will definitely return in the fall for the 3rd time! Oh how I wish I could buy this property and retire!
