About this cottage rental
This fully modern cabin sits on a small hill along the shore of Lily Lake in Conyngham Township. Located in the northeastern part of the state's Pocono and Endless mountains, the spring-fed lake boasts superb bass fishing and is surrounded by 100s of acres of public land for hiking, walking, hunting, cross country skiing, or simple viewing and relaxation. Ideal for couples or small families, the property sleeps 1 to 4 and is easily accessible from I-80 and I-81. It is two hours north by car from Philadelphia and Harrisburg and two hours west of New York City. The cottage is fully furnished with a queen-sized bed in the bedroom and single beds in the loft. It has a large flat-screen television with DVD player, access to Wi-Fi, and on-site washer and dryer. It has a modern kitchen equipped with gas stove, refrigerator, coffee maker, dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, and other kitchen tools. Central air conditioning and heating ensure a comfortable interior in all seasons. Accessible from the township road by a paved private drive, the cottage has a screened-in front porch and open rear flagstone patio complete with Pennsylvania-made cedar furniture. The grounds and lakefront are landscaped with native and exotic plants. The lakefront has a table and chairs, a fire ring, dock, paddle boat, and kayak available for guests' use. Motorboats and water skiing are also permitted on the lake, subject to certain horsepower and use limits. Numerous Pocono ski resorts, minor-league hockey and baseball franchises, Mohegan Sun and Mount Airy casinos, local theater, movies, national and regional historic sites, shopping malls, restaurants, white-water rafting, state and local parks, and several amusement parks are within 30- to 60-minute drives. With advance notice, guests also have the option during their stay of ordering one or more three-course meals, featuring local and seasonal ingredients, prepared and served on the property or delivered. A number of options are available. Arrangements can also be made for stocking the pantry with your grocery list. Please inquire for details.

Very clean, cozy cottage with nice view of the lake. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, though the stove in the kitchen needs to be shimmed up so that it is level rather than tilted forward.

A little slice of paradise
This property was amazing and the location was perfect. It felt like the cabin had been restored by one of those HGTV shows. Attention to details to keep the authentic feel but ensuring modern conveniences were spot on. It felt incredibly comfortable and relaxing from the moment I pulled into the driveway. The owners really helped this feel like home and that they cared about your visit. Can't wait to go back again.

Lily Lake
The guest house at Lily Lake is beautiful. It is even better than the pictures show. It was wonderful to communicate with Sal and he was very quick with his responses. The house is directly on the lake with beautiful views of the lake. I highly recommend the Lily Lake guest house and my wife and I are looking forward to going again in the future.

Our family had an amazing experience at the Guest House at Lily Lake! From the minute we arrived we felt completely at home. The house and surrounding garden are beautiful and very well maintained and we were impressed by how clean everything was. Steps down the hill from the house is beautiful Lily Lake. We enjoyed the kayak, stand up paddle board, fishing from the dock, and playing with our dog at the nearby beach. There is also a peddle boat and a rowboat available for use as well as lots of life jackets and inflatable toys. At Sal’s recommendation we took a walk around the lake - a great opportunity for birding with eagle sightings! There was also a lot of hiking opportunities in the surrounding area and we spent a great morning hiking in Rickett’s Glen, which is 40 minutes away. We all agreed that this was the best hike we’ve taken in Pennsylvania! We highly recommend Sal and Elaine’s place for a a peaceful lakeside getaway! We hope to return in the future!

Lily Lake Cottage
This was such an amazing property and it turned out to be such a nice getaway for our family. Sal was so accommodating, and his recommendations for activities in the area were spot on. The cottage is in excellent condition and has so many unique touches that add to its character. We cannot wait to stay here again!

An escape from everything
A wonderful alternative to our usual resort/hotel stays. We spent 5 days in total tranquility. Amazing to "hear" silence. The cabin was excellent with everything we needed. Handwritten notes from the Owner made everything easy to find and operate. Owner was happy to give advance information on activities, restaurants etc. We would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to really get away and find peace and quiet. We will be visiting again.

Everything we hoped for.
My wife and I have been going to Maine on vacation but with the pandemic we were looking for somewhere in PA closer to home that would be quiet, private, well maintained, and pet friendly. This beautiful cottage on Lake Lily checked all the boxes and then some. The lake view was a bonus as we took advantage of the row boat and the scenic hiking trails, The house was very comfortable, updated, and clean. The owners and manager were friendly and accommodating. We will definitely keep it in mind for the future.

As soon as you walk in, you feel as if you're at a life long friend's house. Everything was immaculate, the furniture and decorations very tasteful and comfortable, the grounds gorgeous, the lake absolutely beautiful, and the owners could not have been nicer and more accommodating. I went there to celebrate my 65th birthday with a few friends and my dog, Walter, and we had a wonderful time. I did not go any farther than the hiking path, the fire pit and the lake, and that was exactly how I wanted it. As I was leaving, I was trying to come up with a definition of the owners, Elaine and Bob, and I would say "salt of the earth" people. I would have loved to have had more interaction with them, but because of the pandemic it was minimal, but lovely just the same. Thank you Elaine and Bob, I would be honored to be a regular guest of your guest house.

Perfect Fall Weekend
We stayed for 3 relaxing days with our dog at the cottage. The moment we entered the property and saw the view, our stress melted away. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and took advantage of the paddle boat. We also loved sitting by the fire or on the dock. The cottage is beautiful and well maintained, the details both in and out are superb. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation in a beautiful setting, book this cottage. We loved everything about it and hope to return.

A Perfect Getaway
My husband and I spent a week at this perfect lake house. If I were to have a second home for the two of us, this would be it. The grounds were beautifully landscaped and the interior of the cottage was wonderful down to the last detail - modern, with high quality finishes, but with a craftsman-era feel. We also loved the two outdoor areas, a screened porch overlooking the lake and dock, and a stone patio with grill off the kitchen. Bob, the owner, who lives in another house on the property, couldn’t have been nicer or more responsive when we had two small issues. In addition to being on a beautiful lake, the cottage is near some wonderful recreation areas, including Ricketts Glen State Park, with a spectacular trail that takes you closely past 22 waterfalls. If you like vacations with nightlife and fancy restaurants then this is probably not the place for you. If you want to relax in a lovely little cottage in a gorgeous setting, you will love this place.

Even better in person
Such a sweet little cabin. There are neighbors, but it feels remote. Great getaway! The property is just beautiful, the cabin is even better than pictures, and the owners were just lovely and very helpful when needed. The kids had so much fun swimming, skipping stones, and taking out all types of boats. We can't wait to go back!

Much Needed Escape!
The Guest House at Lily Lake is even sweeter in person than the pictures show. The inside is carefully and tastefully decorated with warm inviting furnishings, beautiful knickknacks, original artwork, wainscoting on the ceiling, crown molding, and soft earth tones. All rooms are fresh, inviting, and comfortable. Plenty of space for our family of four adults.
Outside is equally as lovely, with a natural stone patio in the front surrounded by pachysandra and rhododendrons, providing privacy from the house above on the hill. My favorite spot was the screened in porch that overlooks the lake and gently wooded area; a quiet place to enjoy morning coffee, feel the cool breeze, and listen to the sounds of nature. Brought back wonderful memories of my childhood at my grandparents’ house on another lake in the Poconos.
By the water you will find a paddle board, two person paddle boat and kayak, and row boat. There are two private docks for easy access, a soft moss and grassy area with table and chairs, and a fire pit with adirondacks and tree stumps to sit on. We took advantage of everything!
Renting the house was a breeze. Sal was quick to respond to any questions and was very helpful and friendly in his communications. Elaine and Bob, the owners, were equally as delightful, going out of their way to ensure our stay was as pleasant and relaxing as possible. They shared the wonderful history of the house, grounds, and lake, putting a personal spin on our already thoroughly enjoyable vacation.
Sitting here now, I wonder how I got so lucky to happen upon this listing! You couldn’t ask for a better place to stay or better folks to rent from! Thanks Elaine, Bob, and Sal for sharing this special place!

Peaceful Lake house
We had a lovely week long stay on the lake! The house is immaculate and filled with antique details. The property managers were extremely responsive and generous with their time. We loved that one side of lake is Federal land - it makes for a uniquely quieter and more private lake experience.
