Situated in Mooresville, this attractive house for $539 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Lakefront "Getaway on Malibu" is a slice of heaven on earth! Enjoy the stunning sunset views of Lake Norman while on the dock, making s'mores at the fire pit, and dining in the renovated kitchen. The kitchen and living area feature an open concept, suited for entertaining friends and family gatherings, with floor to ceiling windows looking out on to the lake. The wet bar is a great place to mix your summer vacation drinks. The spacious master bedroom has a lake view, king bed, large ensuite bathroom, and walk-in closet. The second and third bedrooms have queen beds with a bathroom on both halls, the fourth bedroom has two twin beds. The fourth bathroom is a powder room off the living area. All four bathrooms have been renovated as of May 1st, 2023. There are updated furnishings and flooring throughout, water views from the deck and screened-in porch, and an outdoor shower facing sunset for total relaxation. The home is a ranch, so no stairs! Getaway on Malibu is on a “no wake” cove, perfect for swimming, kayaking (4 provided), and floating on a raft (pick your favorite from our float room). We have a boat ramp to make it easy to launch your own or rented water crafts. We are at exit 33 off of I-77, then 1 mile to paradise. Reserve your jet ski or boat rental from the nearby marina. We enjoyed our stay. The house was comfortable and well appointed with spices, pots & pans for cooking which we used for breakfasts and dinners. Our host was responsive and informative. We were pleased and grateful.

The property was everything it was presented to be. It’s in an excellent location on a quiet lake alcove and easily accessible from I-77. We found the place very clean and ready for us to move right in. The floor plan is perfect for three families or groups. The owner was very easy to communicate with, and always responded promptly. Our family had such a wonderful week that everyone wants to do it again next year at the same property. This was my first experience using VRBO, and proved to be a very positive experience.

Just finished an amazing week at the lake with kids and grandkids! The house was in a fabulous location with an alcove to swim, kayak, and paddle board! Not necessary to bring your own as the property supplied us with three kayaks, two paddle boards and a room full of floats.
Also, great location for a pontoon to hit the big part of the lake for tubing, water skiing etc

The home was very clean and the set up ensured together time but also privacy when desired. Amenities were plentiful and the dock was great. We really enjoyed the fire pit. (Nice that cut wood was there for us) I would highly recommend to anyone considering this location. Great communication from owner too!

Christine’s place is just magical!! Our annual 6 night family vacation (my husband, kids and their spouses with 3 grandkids 3 and younger) enjoyed our stay. We ate all our meals together in a well stocked kitchen. This home layout was perfect as each family had their own private section with bedrooms and a bathroom. The great room area ideal for smaller kids and the TV’s worked with Netflix and Disney the smaller ones needed!
The location is ideal, easily reached and near shopping. This home is thoughtfully done and well equipped with floating toys, kayaks, and it is on peaceful waters with beautiful views. The screened in porch was such a special and fantastic relaxing area.
This isn’t a new build but it’s comfortable, private, and as homey and restful as anyone could want.

Great Getaway!
My husband’s daughter and family recently visited from England, spending time at our home in the mountains then spending their last week at Lake Norman.
This home was perfect for our needs. Plenty of space for all and privacy when needed by the layout of several bedroom and bathroom wings.
The views of the lake from the house were wonderful and the dock was great for lounging, fishing and sunbathing! When wanting to avoid the sun, we loved spending time on the screened porch.
The owner was always available when needed and supplied us with the necessary information needed to rent a boat while staying.
Our visit to Lake Norman was the perfect end to a wonderful family vacation.

Very nice property. We were back for a family reunion and the location was great.
Nice Clean open concept. The grand kids had a great time and plenty of beds for all 7 of us. The 3.5 bathrooms was really nice. The dock was great to sit on in the AM and have a cup of coffee.

Fun Filled Waterfront
This was our 5 th year renting a VRBO on Lake Norman and this home and location was at the top! The owner kept communication open and easily available during the booking process all the way through the stay. We found the home very clean and ready to go for our family water vacation, the home has a great back yard and dock to make enjoying the private water cove easy to do! The floor plan flows nicely from the common area to the private bedrooms and bathrooms. I would highly recommend this home and owner for anyone looking for a great water front vacation.

Family Thanksgiving Stay
The house is in a nice location in a sheltered bay not far from I-77 and other main roads. It's convenient to shopping, etc. The layout of the bedrooms and gathering area worked well for our family with most bedrooms having their own bathroom. The non-master bathrooms are small, with smaller showers, but they served the purpose. The living and dining area provided plenty of comfortable seating and, if the weather had been warmer, we'd have made use of the screened porch, fire pit and kayaks. The host was very responsive, and when the coffee maker wasn't working Thanksgiving morning, got us set with another one.
The floors were cold - be sure to bring slippers if you're there when it's cold out. We found the temperature in the master bedroom was warm while a bedroom on other side of the house was very cold (our bad - we should have mentioned this to our host).

Quiet, cozy spot for the family
My family had a wonderful stay! The property had beautiful views of the lake. The open concept living area was a great place to gather, but the separated bedrooms were perfect for unwinding! The location of the property was not far from the grocery store and easy access to 77. Loved our stay!!!

Attended a wedding in Mooresville and was lucky enough to find this place. It's easy to get to, beautiful, and comfortable. Great for anyone really. Relaxing in front of a lake is a favorite thing to do and this place did not disappoint. We'd recommend it for sure!

Lake view stunner
My Husband and parents spent a week at this beautiful home and it was the most amazing place! The house is situated an an inlet to the lake which leaves the water calm fo float and swim in. We rented a boat for the week and were able to tie it up to the side of the dock, which was so easy! The house has floaties, kayaks and water toys for all ages.
The house itself was clean and had a beautiful floor plan! Kitchen came with all the requirements to cook and there is a BBQ on the deck. Many of our nights were spent on the screened in patio which saved us all from mosquitoes. The location of the home can’t be beat. It’s a 3 minute drive to a grocery store and a 10 minute drive to a Walmart, Costco and other bigger box stores if you happen to forget or need anything.
The host was so communicative before and during our stay. She provided us with restaurant recommendations and checked in periodically to see if we needed anything.
I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Fuel and eats are within a mile by boat.
Owner provides an entire room of floats/tubes/noodles, etc for relaxing on the water
Screened porch is relaxing with comfortable furniture.
Firewood was provided.
Lot is a short and gentle slope to water.
Stores are nearby for last minute groceries.
Cons:
Not an ideal setup if you plan on launching a larger boat from the ramp, neighbors dock is directly behind the ramp. You will not have room to drive your boat onto your trailer. It can be worked around by floating your boat in the right spot, held in place by others manning ropes, and backing your trailer under the boat. Not ideal, but it worked with our 22' bowrider. We only launched once and left boat tied to dock for the week. Bring your fenders and cover to protect it from rain and sun.
If you're a novice backing a trailer, consider launching from a nearby marina instead, as there are large trees lining the entire length of ramp.
Overall: This is a great house in a great location, dealing with Christine only made it better. We originally had plans to vacation at another lake altogether, but a newborn in July made us choose a spot closer to daughter in Charlotte. We wouldn't change a thing and already talking about same spot next year!! Reserve with confidence that you've picked the right spot to relax.

Family time at the lake!
My family of 5 (my husband, myself, and my three boys ages 4, 8, and 12,) loved our time at Christine's home. The house gave us plenty of space to spread out, and the location is amazing. Perfectly peaceful, deep water perfect for jumping contests off the deck, and a screened in porch that is perfect for starting your day with a cup of coffee and ending it with a glass of wine. Christine was very communicative and easy to work with. We stayed for three weeks, and I hope to return again!

My family of six adults stayed here for 5 nights. We had the best time. My favorite locations were the screened in sun porch and the dock. The adult kids loved playing corn hole and hanging around the fire pit at night. Owner is great on communication. We had one issue which she resolved immediately. I would highly recommend this serene and beautiful lakeside spot for families young or old.

Family vacation
The communication with the owner "Christine" was amazing! She text to make sure everything was ok when we arrived and left. We had a family of 8 and there was plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen was well provisioned, and there were plenty of beach towels. There was plenty of water floats for everyone. The screened in porch was a great gathering, as well as the back deck. We brought our boat, so the shared driveway made it easy to launch. The firepit was great for doing s'mores and roasting marshmallows. We used the dock everyday for fishing and sunbathing. The location was great because it was in a no wake zone cove, but it was quick to get to the main channel. The house has 2 kayaks, which we used a lot! Our grown kids are already asking when we can come back. I would not hesitate to stay at the Christine's house again. The location is perfect!

We had a wonderful stay on this property. Christine, the owner is super responsive to texts and checked in to ensure everything was going well. The property is well maintained and has plenty of “supplies”!in the bathrooms and kitchen. The back decks, yard and dock and a great place to unwind and relax. Property is in a quiet cove so a nice place to swim and not worry about boat traffic. The proximity of the property to stores is great. We did some touristy trips and pretty much everything - state park, Charlotte, etc are all within about 25 min drive. Would definitely rent the property again!
