Situated in Leesville, this attractive house for $135 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Due to the setting it's best: -for only 1 or 2 people-sorry NOT for visitors, unless discussed -corporate stay in the Lexington area . -Sorry, but there is NO PLACE to DOCK a BOAT or PARK A TRAILER. - If you are renting a boat for a day, then check with the owners about a temporary dock .-snowbirds in transit or scoping the area This is a perfect place for a quiet get-a-away for 2 or wonderful alternative to a required hotel stay. The cottage was built totally by hand, by the owner, with trees cut from the property. It is designed for adults and there is nowhere for kids to play. -No fire pit or place to burn TWO KAYAKS are available to enjoy our large cove or to explore Shull Island. Accommodations: Den and kitchen with island on one floor. Downstairs 600 sq. ft. with a queen bed and sitting area. Sleeps 2- one queen bed downstairs. Three large windows overlooking the lake. We have all new appliances, including granite counter tops and 2 HD TVs with Dish Satellite. There is a deck off the lower level for enjoying the lake view and for kayak or swimming access. Off Season, 2 nights available if less than a month away from arrival. Keywords: Guest House, Lakefront, Peaceful If you stay a week and could leave the lake, it's two hours from Charleston, SC. Downtown Columbia is 35/40 minutes away and the zoo (30 minutes) State Museum and children's museum are well worth the visit. Restaurants and many shopping choices are in Lexington which is an 18 minute drive. Many restaurants and grocery stores are an easy 10/15 minute drive from the guest house. Most renters prefer to shop prior to arrival. There is a deck off the lower level for enjoying the lake view and for kayak or swimming access. there 3 nights to visit friends and go to the Florida Gators and SC Gamecocks football game. Had a great time and enjoyed all our friends. Game was super. We won! The cottage was wonderful. On the lake, country setting,very peaceful. The accommodations were perfect. Walk out the bedroom to a deck on lake. Just excellent place to stay. Hosts were super nice people.

A little outlet on Lake Murray. The ducks, herons and turtles welcomed us. The cottage felt like home and had everything we needed. Will want to visit again.

My wife and I wanted a relaxing vacation for our 10th anniversary. Ellen's cottage checked all the boxes! The property was so beautiful and peaceful! Ellen was an outstanding host. She answered any questions we had instantly. The view of the lake and some of the wildlife in the area were a pleasure to view. The cottage was absolutely perfect for the two of us. We will definitely stay again!

The home and owners couldn't have been better! Ellen and Andy are super sweet and attentive. The house is situated on a lovely tree lined cove surrounded by an exquisite garden and a view of the big water of Lake Murray. It is well appointed and just perfect for a couple wanting a quiet get away. A++++++++++++++!!

We loved our stay at this beautiful cottage. It was so peaceful sitting on the private deck, listening to the birds and just relaxing by the lake. Communication with Ellen and Andy was great and we hope to return someday.

This cottage is a gem! It is wonderful with a beautiful lake view. As pictured, and probably more room than shown. Very clean, comfortable bed, and Ellen has thought of your every need. Ellen and Andy are wonderful hosts, very easy to communicate and work with and very responsive. Can't say enough about this property, absolutely loved our stay!! I just wish the weather had been better to go kayaking - will have to come back for that. Only 1 hr from Augusta Natl.

We came to Lexington for a needed break from our busy lives in south Florida. This property is located on a beautiful spot on the lake. The main views from the living area look over the lake. It was just what we needed. Communication with Ellen was great. She and Andy made sure we were all set. We had a great time exploring the area and just getting away from it all. Highly recommend this rental for couples!

The home is beautiful and clean. There was plenty of space for my husband and I to spread out. He had some work to do while we were there and I never felt in his way. The couple who own the home are lovely. We didn’t meet them until we were leaving but we wish we had met them sooner. The location is close to restaurants and on a beautiful piece of land. Unfortunately the weather was a bit chilly when we were there so we didn’t get to enjoy the water at all. Next time we can enjoy the beautiful lake. I would definitely recommend this property.

Perfect getaway for two. Very nice cottage. Super comfortable bed. Very clean. Well equipped. The stairs were tough on us due to some mobility issues. Perfect otherwise. Owners next door on same property but were noninvasive and very welcoming. Peaceful and comfortable. We cannot wait to come back.

Sometimes when we've rented through VRBO we've found a great house, and other times a great view/setting... in this case, we got it all! We absolutely love the way this house is situated in a beautiful natural habitat. The view of the lake is superb, and the amenities are all top notch. It is, by far, the most comfortable, relaxing, rental we've ever had. We were in South Carolina for the university's Family Weekend. After all of the activities it provided us with a retreat that allowed for morning coffee and reflection. It really was perfect, and the hosts made us feel welcome. We will definitely utilize this rental in the future.

What an amazing location for rest and relaxation….with plenty to do from spending time on the water to local area zoo/gardens and excellent food. The hospitality of the owners and cleanliness of the property are exceptional. We’ll definately be back.

This home was just beautiful right on Lake Murray. The location was great, and the water was even better!!! The hosts (Ellen & Andy) could not have been more welcoming. Made us very comfortable and the house had everything and more than we had hoped for. They did not miss a thing as far as keeping the house stocked. We will definitely go back to this Lake house. Lake Murray is absolutely beautiful. Thank you Ellen & Andy
