Nestled in Surfside Beach, this charming house for $587 per night is a great choice for your next break. 4 Shrimp and a Crab is a beautiful raised beach house in Surfside Beach, SC. Has 5 bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms with 4 of the bedrooms having their own en suite bathrooms. Can sleep up to 12 people, being over 2000 square feet. Has elevator, private pool (heating available $300) ,and a golf cart provided for guest use. Has all the amenities you need to make this your home away from home. Convenient location that is close to beach, shopping, dining and local attractions. Please look at the pictures and videos, and read the reviews. Exterior repainted and stonework re-done in 2020. Outside Heated Shower Area. Home has over 2,000 Square Feet of Living Area. Elevator with 3 Level Access (not wheelchair accessible). This homes calendar runs a weekly 7 day rental of Sunday to Sunday during peak wummer season. (June- August). Afternoon check in at 4:00 PM until checkout following Sunday morning at 10:00 AM. Reservations are created when payment is made on owner approved booking requests. We sometimes get multiple inquiries for same date ranges that we quote multiple people on the same day. A quote does not equal a reservation or dates held until paid and approved. In order to book our home you must read over the required Rental Agreement we will provide, complete all required information, and return with drivers license verifying your agreement to the stated terms that they are acceptable and will be followed. Please notify us if have any questions on this. We generally only allow Family rentals with responsible adult over 30 years of age. We do not rent to groups under 30 years of age. Any non family groups, and/ or people bringing motorcycles or trailers please contact us prior to requesting to book to get approval to reserve. Sleeping for 12 (10 adults max as other 2 beds are a child's bunk bed) Stand alone private detached home. Golf cart is legal to ride on streets in Surfside and includes permit to allow free parking at all golf cart parking areas,including golf cart beach access parking throughout Surfside. We also provide golf cart, linens, house towels, beach supplies, and a private pool. We totally enjoyed our stay! The house is wonderful and was very well suited for our family gathering of 7. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pans etc. There were paper products to get us started and hand soap in all the bathrooms(5 full and one 1/2 bath). There were wraps and tin foil in the kitchen drawers. The house was very clean!
The golf cart was a plus to scoot around the neighborhood. We loved the pool and parking was easy!
The owners were very prompt answering any questions I had and very kindly checked in with us early in the week to make sure everything was to our liking and let us know to text them if we had any needs!
We would definitely return.

4 Shrimp and a Crab is short walk or golf cart ride to the beach, restaurants and shops. It’s in a quiet neighborhood with a relaxing private pool that we enjoyed very much. The house is modern, nicely decorated and clean. There are 4 en-suite bathrooms plus a full in the hall and a half bath downstairs. The kitchen has modern appliances and the cabinets are stocked. We had a wonderful vacation and this house was a perfect fit for our blended family vacation. Can’t wait to stay here again in the future.

Our family of 12 enjoyed our stay at 4 Shrimp and a Crab. The home is exceptionally clean and well stocked, although some of the cookware could use some updating. The internet/WiFi could probably use an update as well; the TV buffered and phones were slow to get a signal. The modest-sized pool was clean and a hit with the younger kids. The host was highly responsive and even gave us an excellent last-minute recommendation for a local photographer for family photos on the beach. It is located in a snug residential neighborhood so I don't recommend it to the outdoorsy, night-time, fun-loving crowd.

Stayed for my son’s graduation from CCU: place was perfect for our family of teens, parents and grandparents. Location is much closer to the beach than it appears bc there’s a pedestrian bridge over the lake. Would definitely stay again.

Steve & Kathy's home was perfect for our family vacation. Communication regarding check-in was excellent, along with additional communication during our stay. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed. Loved the rocking chairs on the front porch and the location. Perfect distance from the beach. The pool was an extra plus to go to after the beach. So nice that there were beach chairs for our use. We had an absolutely wonderul stay. Can't wait to return next year!

All of us really enjoyed our stay at 4 Shrimp and a Crab! Everything was clean and tidy and the policies were well written! The pool area was beautiful. We did not use any of the items in the little garage with the golf cart, except for the golf cart. Never used the elevator. Never made any meals at home, Neil & Pams Bar made such good food and we had their breakfast sandwiches 3 times! We wanted a reasonably priced place to hold all of us, and to not require renting a car....this was perfect! We enjoyed walking and seeing the neighborhood homes, going out for pizza, walking the beach and we went to the "Farmers Market" (not sure if that is the correct name for it in SC) on Thursday morning. We did an Uber to Broadway on the Beach one day and to Murrells Inlet another day. Highly recommend! Thank you from Wisconsin

Our group has established a yearly trip to the beach. This year we chose to stay at 4 Shrimp and A Crab. We thoroughly enjoyed our choice. The house met all expectations and the owners were extremely responsive to our needs. Definitely a good choice if your looking for a quality rental.

This house was amazing. Plenty of times Pom to accommodate 5 couples. We definitely recommend this home. It’s beautiful, spacious and very welcoming. We had a blast!! The host are amazing. Very nice, clean, well decorated home. Nice gentle walk to the beach. Quiet and clean neighborhood and beach area. We are glad we stayed in Surf side vs Myrtle beach. The elevator was very helpful feature for us over packers and guest with bad knees. Pool lady was very nice. Steve and Kathy were quick to respond. Would definitely recommend. Kathy and Steve were an absolute delight to deal with! We felt bad expressing the elevator issue but they had MULTIPLE people come within a day. They truly know how to run a beach house. The golf cart was so accommodating for my grandmother and the amenities are endless. We normally stay in Outsr Banks but couldn’t find a house to suit us, this house was 2k cheaper for a little longer drive. Don’t turn this house down, you won’t be disappointed!!!

Great house with all amenities as advertised. A touch further from the beach than we are used to, but the included golf cart certainly made it seem easier. Would recommend to any family looking for a well cared for home to rent!

This house was a perfect fit for everyone in our group. It was a little farther away from the beach than the other house we stayed in, but it was still close enough. We had great weather the week we were there so that makes for a great vacation. I wouldn't hesitate renting this place again.

Great Place to Stay
Had 12 staying in the house and didn't feel crowded at all. Plenty of places to hang out other than in the living room / kitchen areas. Short walk (5 min) to beach. Made use of the cart for hauling gear back and forth. Pool was a nice place to hang in the evenings. Recommend checking out local places to eat and drink up by the pier (currently under construction). Also highly recommend checking out strip of restaurants down in Murrells Inlet (look up Drunkin Jacks). Fun place to hang out and not nearly as crowded as going up to Myrtle Beach. This place is for a group that doesn't want to be in the middle of everything/everyone. We spent 1 day at the Boardwalk in Myrtle Beach and were thankful we chose to stay in Surfside.

A Home away from home
We all have heard the phrase “there is no place like home” in many incidences this may be factual, however Kathy and Steve’s home (4 shrimp and a crab) is the rare exception. Kathy and Steve are remarkable host. Their love for their home and the concept of “family” is exhibited throughout this home. This particular home was increasingly warm and inviting. The home was well prepared for my family’s arrival. There were simple operational instructions provided for everything located in an easily accessible reference manual. Everything was clean and sanitary. Although, we did not utilize the pool, it was exceptionally clean with not even a single piece of debris floating around. All linen were clean, free of stains, and no indication of previous usage. Kathy and Steve set the bar extremely high for other vacation host. consequentially, the names Kathy and Steve will always be referenced whenever I book a vacation home. They definitely made our vacation one that we will definitely remember! I must add that I am NOT a paid reviewer just another satisfied guest who intends to book again!

Beautiful Place and Location
We have stayed at Steve and Kathy's other location, By The Pond, for the past several years and have absolutely loved it! This year, we needed a bigger place and decided to stay in one of their other locations, Shrimp and a Crab. This one did not disappoint. The house was absolutely beautiful and has been well maintained. It comes with everything that you need from all your kitchen utensils to beach chairs. Will definitely stay here again!

The place was super clean and accommodating. We loved walking to the pond to see all the turtles. We enjoyed using the golf cart to get to the beach but wish we could’ve used a second golf cart since there were 8 of us with a lot of beach stuff. The beds were super comfy and the neighborhood is nice and quiet. We loved Benjamin’s Bakery! Kathy and Steve are very responsive and have a lovely home!

We had a delightful stay here in July. The garage storage was stocked with pool and beach toys, bikes, beach chairs, golf cart. The golf cart was a huge bonus in transporting everything to the beach. The kitchen had everything we needed including a Keurig coffeemaker and a sampling of coffee pods! There were many board games for all ages.
The location could not have been better - convenient to everything in Myrtle Beach, but we ended up enjoying lots of local restaurants in Surfside and Garden City. It was a very pleasant 5 min walk to the beach. The beach was spacious and all the kids enjoyed the great waves. We loved the quiet neighborhood and there were a couple parks nearby for our grandkids to enjoy. We sat on the front deck every morning enjoying coffee and conversation. The pool was a little smaller than expected, but didn't stop us from enjoying every inch of it.
