Located in Palisades Tahoe (Olympic Valley), this attractive cabin for $445 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Best Palisades Tahoe Location Palisades Tahoe USA, site of the 1960 Winter Olympics, is a fabulous ski resort offering a broad range of terrain. We have skied all over the Lake Tahoe area and it is by far our favorite mountain. The Village has cobblestone pedestrian walks, numerous restaurants and shops, and is the perfect social hub during the winter months. New in 2023, parking reservations are required at Palisades Tahoe. They offer paid and unpaid reservations, which must be made on Tuesday for the upcoming weekend. Happily for those staying in the valley, there is a free, on-demand, door-to-door shuttle called The Mountaineer that will take you directly from our cabin to the slopes. Download the Mountaineer App on your Smart phone for hours, destinations and to request a ride/pick up. An additional benefit to staying with us in the valley is skipping the 30min-1hr traffic jams that routinely clog I-80 for those driving from Tahoe City or Truckee. Serene Winter Cabin Escape Designed by well known Squaw Valley Architect, Dave Tucker, this single level house is warm and inviting, offering peace and serenity just one mile from the lifts of Palisades Tahoe (Formerly Squaw Valley) USA. The 14 foot high floor to ceiling windows fill the home with light and a grand feeling of connection to the outdoors. Privately nestled in the trees next to Squaw Creek, enjoy watching the snow fall outside, or curl up on the day beds while a fire crackles in the volcanic-rock fireplace. Slip into the eight person deluxe outdoor hot tub to unwind and relax while you listen to the babbling brook. Snow shoe or cross country ski in the meadow across the street or on the many trails nearby. Mountain Fun All Summer Long In spring, summer or fall walk out onto the large deck for afternoon BBQ's or a nap in the hammock. Climb on the granite boulders in the creek (or the one that comes through the deck). Enjoy the flat yard and deck area next to the creek ideal for kids to play. The house is located on a flat street and private cul-de- sac offering easy access during winter (no steep icy roads to navigate and no need to shovel or climb snowy icy stairs to get into the house!) and an ideal playground for kids in both summer and winter. There is an adjacent bike path which you can walk or bike to the nearby soccer field, hiking trails, or playground and take in all of natures beauty any time of year. You can also bike from here all the way to Tahoe City along the Truckee river- one of our favorites! Comfortable Accommodations for the Whole Family This home offers a great floorplan! There are two bedrooms with king beds and a bunkroom that will accommodate up to six people. In addition, there are two day beds in the living room and a pullout couch in one of the bedrooms. This house is ideal for one or two families with children and is sure to leave you with amazing memories of a fabulous vacation in the mountains! Linda’s place is great and in an amazing location close to Palasades Tahoe. It has an amazing living room and the wood burning fireplace was perfect. Stayed with family and friends and the kids were were happy with the place. Also, the mountaineer shuttle is a great option to get around the Valley. The communication with Linda was great and prompt. Wil definitely come back to stay here.

We loved staying at this cabin! Big highlight is the beautiful great room windows looking out over the creek. Very peaceful property. We loved the hot tub while listening to the creek. We visited with our two young children and the house was great for even our little one (19 months) navigating down the living room steps. The host is wonderful and we have already shared the listing with friends. Great find!

Great place for a family get away in a beautiful setting. The home is cozy and clean, and the large dining table is a great place to gather for family meals! Spent a lot of time outside on the wonderful deck enjoying the surrounding ambiance. Inside, the large windows bring the outside in, making for a magical treehouse feel. We really enjoyed our visit to this lovely creek side home, and would love to stay again!

We booked this home a bit last-minute, as my brother and his wife and my family wanted to do a mini reunion and ski. Of all the homes and condos we have rented close to the base, this house is absolutely been the best. I don't even want to let the secret out!
Why it's amazing:
- 1 mile from the base parking lot.
- Cozy chalet style home. Feels homey but has amazing stone floors (heated in a bathroom!) and vaulted ceilings. There are blankets everywhere. There's a wall of windows overlooking the river and complete privacy. Both couples had plenty of space, and the kids had the bunk room. There are plugs everywhere. AND the owner is kind?
I am so impressed and I'll be back if Linda isn't booked wall to wall! Thank you for sharing your home with us.

The property is really well presented with high quality kitchen and other inclusions. The location is idyllic by a babbling brook, and we also enjoyed the hot tub in the snow (there was so much recent snow we had to shovel the pathway to get to it!). Easy to get to the ski lifts with a 5 minute drive. Overall a great winter getaway experience.

We just loved this place. It’s clear this is a well lovely family getaway and the house is filled with a warm family feel that just draws you in and makes you feel right at home.
It’s beautifully decorated in perfect log cabin style. The beds and linen is all quality, great Wi-Fi.
Its location is the real star of the show. We visited in July and all the plants and wildlife were in full flow. We watched over 4 days a Robin’s nest in the eves at the front with 4 chicks. They grew quickly and fledged as we watched. It was incredible to be part of these tiny bird’s adventure into the world. Over the last couple of days we had a some visits from the babies as they made their way, still getting looked after by Mum and Dad of course.
Saw quite a few steller jays too. Beautiful.
In the evenings, we’d jump into the hot tub with a glass of wine and chill…which is basically what we did the whole time.
Didn’t see any bears or big cats, but I suppose that was a good thing. Haha.
We would thoroughly recommend staying here. It must be incredible when there is snow.

Memorable
Beautiful deck where you can listen to the birds and the creek from the hot tub. Great location from which to explore Tahoe City and some of the gorgeous state parks and their trails. Had some great hikes and picnics. Highly recommend!

Beautiful, relaxing, and very convenient
My family and I had a wonderful week spring skiing and hiking while staying here. Linda was so super helpful and easy to work with. Her visitor tips and resources served as an amazing guide to our stay, I only wish I we had stayed longer to visit all of her recommended sites and restaurants! We hope to be back again soon!

Excellent location, great price
I’m hesitant to write too glowing a review of this place because I want it to be available for my next trip! Owner was very responsive and the place was a great location. Can’t beat the spa in the woods after a day of skiing. I will definitely be staying here again (hopefully it’s available!)

Such a magical place, you could spend a whole vacation just staring out the living room window. The house was super clean when we arrived, and it’s adorably decorated, well stocked with whatever a guest might need (from kitchen utensils to board games to sleds and snowshoes), and all the fixtures are modern and work great (including the hot tub! <3)… And Linda, the host, was so friendly and helpful. Great location too. I can’t say enough good things about this place and can’t wait to come back!

Such a magical place, you could spend a whole vacation just staring out the living room window. Relaxing mountain getaway
We had a terrific time at Linda's cabin! The layout was perfect for our "Friendsgiving" trip. We loved the big table, the well-appointed kitchen, and the open living space which allowed us to hang out and cook at the same time. We particularly enjoyed the views from the big windows and also the heated bathroom floors. Listening to the creek while relaxing in the hot tub was a major highlight.
There was an issue with the heat when we arrived but I was very impressed with how quickly Linda responded and was able to get someone out to fix it despite the holiday. We were grateful for the terrific fireplace and many warm blankets and once the heating issue was resolved, the place was incredibly cozy!
We were mostly there to relax in the cabin, but we did enjoy the proximity to both Lake Tahoe and Palisades ski area. Some of us took a great hike up Shirley Canyon (a bit icy this time of year!) and rode the tram down. Incredible views!

We had a little incident upon check-in but Linda was absolutely wonderful and efficient in taking care of it. We all enjoyed are stay and the accommodations. What a tranquil setting!

WSER Race Week
Stayed here for Western States Endurance Run race week, close enough to the village for all the activities, but just far enough (1.5 miles only) to avoid pre-race nerves! Loved the house, space, hammock to nap on, and skylights to feel like you are outside!

Wonderful experience
Quiet, comfortable, great king size beds - slept better than at home. Well equipped kitchen, great space for family vacation. Lots of room to spread out. Awesome fireplace, hot tub, and large deck abutting babbling creek. The whole experience was loved by my daughter's and entire family. I feel this was a wonderful stay and would recommend to anyone. Host was nice and readily available if needed.
