About this cottage rental

Located in Milledgeville, this attractive cottage for $80 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Located 7 miles from Georgia College and State University, and Georgia Military College, and 10 miles from Lake Sinclair, this old tenant house is part of a former farm on Fox Hill. The main house was built in circa 1873, during the Reconstruction. This cottage was moved in 2011 from a farm 14 miles away. We remolded and and modernized it, while keeping the original warm atmosphere. It sits 100 yards from the main house, with easy access. There is a galley kitchen with micro wave, toaster oven, refrigerator, keurig coffee maker, and sink. Two large cozy bedrooms provide additional atmosphere. The large shower and designer bathroom sink are added features. There is a sitting room adjacent to the kitchen area with television and DVD player, plus table for eating and games and relaxing and talking. . A favorite feature is the front porch that has a breeze most days, and a view of the main house, pastures and forest, and amazing views of the stars at night. Plenty of parking in large pasture for boats or trailers. You will have privacy and yet not far away from hosts.

The Fish Cottage is a very rustic, small cottage on a farm/farmette. Growing up on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, my grandparents had a farm where I spent weeks with them in the summer. Our stay at Fish Cottage brought back all of those wonderful memories - except no crowing roosters in the morning! Fish Cottage is a very quiet place to relax and unwind, but close enough to restaurants and town (I snuck in a trip to TJMaxx) that you can have the best of both worlds.

This was a delightful experience. I loved the cottage and the solitude; it was wonderful to sit on the porch in the morning and evening, listening to the birds and watching the squirrels. The surprise gift of a mini-loaf of sweet bread was so delicious, and the eclectic furnishings were intriguing. I would love to come back.

What a beautiful, cozy cottage/cabin! We enjoyed the recorded history of the home, as well as looking at every lovely furnishing and finish, which all melded into a comfortable, peaceful, relaxing stay! Our hosts were kind and attentive. The grounds were also beautiful and enticing with hiking trails and a lovely creek flowing through. It was a wonderful stay, and we look forward to another lovely stay at this amazing property soon!

Our stay was great! Excellent communication withowners from booking though departure. Not one jlitch or detail out of place. The cottage is actually very cozy, you can shut the doors and its private or open everything up and community. Pictures didn't do it justice. Thank you

We stayed here visiting our daughter for parents weekend at the college. The location was perfect and it was the coziest little cottage. The beds are so comfortable. The commutation with the owner was fantastic. I would highly recommend this cottage for a weekend stay. My daughter described it perfect…she said it reminds her of the cottage from the movie The Holiday.

Lovely little cottage out in the quiet country, but close to town. Host is very welcoming and accommodating. Amazing work they have done to restore this old cottage. If you are looking for a place to relax in the country and catch up on reading this is it!
