About this house rental
Nestled in Punta Gorda, this lovely house for $275 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Come stay a while and see why we absolutely fell in love with this property and the Punta Gorda community! The spacious and bright three bedroom home sleeps six yet offers great privacy with the split floor plan. Enjoy the heated pool (my favorite!) throughout the winter months or sit on the lanai even if it should rain because the roof extends over it. Relax on the dock and watch the boaters cruise by in the canal...or even spot a dolphin making its way back out to Charlotte Harbor (another of my favorites)! There are many diverse restaurants and boating activities within an easy walk or drive. If there is a need for a beach, then a short ride to Fort Myers, Englewood or Venice will get you the fix. You will find a farmers market in town on Saturday mornings, and Fishermen's Village (ok, another favorite!) is the perfect place to shop or eat while watching the boats come and go and watch others fish for the plentiful fish in the Harbor. A short boat cruise up the Peace River will provide the feel of a tropical paradise and you can stop at Nav-A-Gators restaurant for some local food and entertainment. Many of the Punta Gorda bars and restaurants provide music of various types nearly every night. You will have a hard time picking which one you wish to hear on any given night! Many extras are provided for your enjoyment: gas grill, beach chairs, lawn chairs, cooler, washer and dryer, beach towels, blow dryers, well-furnished kitchen and more! Please note that the boat lift at this property is not available for house guests’ use.

The house is perfectly situated and very peaceful with a lovely pool along a quiet canal. The homeowners are very pleasant to deal with. They are reasonable and flexible and appropriate in their check out requirements rather than having it be oppressive as some owners are. We will return.

Our Thanksgiving was a success in large part due to our accommodations. Loved sitting on the lanai drinking coffee in the mornings and watching the sun set in the evenings!

This is our 2nd year staying in Wanda and Gordon’s vacation home. We absolutely love the calm, welcoming energy there. The owners are very responsive, willing to work with you, understanding and kind in ways that many are unwilling to be in our world. Love our time here.

I have rented properties many times in the past, every other time I received information on the check in process, ie the door code. This time that did not happen. I arrived at the property at 3:50 pm with check in at 4:00. I had not received any correspondence at that time. I messaged the owner with no response. Fortunately the neighbor came to my rescue. She tried calling both owners to no avail. She made a third call to an unknown person and was able to get the door code. Upon entry we found the home very clean! The home is nice but has dated baths and furniture. The one recliner sofa was broken. I am a TV junkie and disappointed to find only one TV on site when one photo shows a TV on the Lani. An hour or two after arriving I received a message from the owner apologizing for the code mishap, saying she forgot. I told her about the broken sofa, as I did not want to be responsible, and she said she was not aware. The house also had an odor like most places in high humidity areas have. The location is absolutely perfect, with a pool overlooking the canal, very relaxing. With so many options for rent I would have to look into others before staying here again.

House had everything we needed. View on canal was great. Saw dolphins and rays. Pool was very nice as it added to the outdoor living experience! Thank you so much!

I loved everything about this beautiful place but particularly the beautiful pool and the lovely view of the canal. The home was clean and well equipped and the hosts were super responsive. The house is roomy and beautifully decorated. The only drawback is that the house is on somewhat of a busy street. I would go back in a minute however. Beautiful place, great hosts.

Nice Getaway
We had a great stay here. The house was as advertised, well stocked and comfortable. Initially the pool heater was not functioning but the owners got it fixed the same day, which happened to be the day before Thanksgiving!

Our family of 4 stayed at this property in July 2021. Prior to our arrival the hosts Gordon and Wanda were very open regarding their property/amenities and extremely responsive to the many questions that I had. They were pleasant and helpful from before booking throughout our entire stay.
The house was extremely clean and well stocked. It had almost everything you could think of to make the stay an amazing one from basic toiletries you may have forgotten to inflatables for the pool and fishing equipment to use at the dock outside. The beds were comfortable, the tv was set up to meet our entertainment needs (roku, hulu, netflix, etc) but the best part... the lanai and pool. The lanai was clean and beautiful, decorated well with a variety of seating options, beautiful pool and L.E.D string lights allowed for fun night swimming.
This property provided the feeling of a relaxing vacation while being a comforting home away from home! We will definitely return!

We have stayed in many rental homes in the SW FL area all similar with canal access and a pool and this was by far the best. The set up was great as there was plenty of space for everyone as we had kids and adults. The cleanliness of this home far exceeds any we have stayed in but did not have that "bleachy" clean smell which was great! The master bed was so comfortable and I loved that the sheets, pillows, comforter were good quality. The home was well stocked with games, books, movies, towels, extra sheets, comforters and the kitchen had all that we needed! The only issue was a bit cloudy when we arrived, but the pool cleaners came out the same day we informed owners. Also the master shower knob comes loose but shower still worked wonderfully. It is in an ideal location close to everything, the road was a little busy than we would have liked, but I still give this home 5 stars. The owners were 100% the best I have ever dealt as we had a couple of requests and they were accommodated no problem. Also gave us many ideas of things to do. Communication was A+. Would definitely stay again! We did catch a few fish from the dock, no keepers, but did see dolphins swim through and there was a GIANT fish that swam under the dock several times!

I literally felt peaceful at this property. I could hear doves cooing everyday, which I love. An occasional boat would ride by going slow. Fisherman's Village nearby was a place we frequented for shopping and eating out. It was only about a half mile from this house. The pool was always the perfect temperature. There were plenty of floats for my family to enjoy. Beds were comfortable. We enjoyed our time here.

Love it! Better then picture look.
It's always nice when you get what your expecting. Which is harder than it seems these days. I can say with this property it exceeded my expectations. Yes, it gives you everything in the pictures, but the house is actually a little nicer than it looks in some pictures. We used the grill one night which was really nice. We fished off of the canal. The pool was a perfect temperature. Everything was simply available and easy. For the first time I didn't even have to bother the hosts on my trip. I would highly recommend this place.

5 day stay to relax and get to know Punta Gorda
We rented the house with family to become familiar with Punta Gorda as we just bought a house in Punta Gorda Isles and close on July 7th. This was a great stay. Plenty to do for the kids; they really enjoyed the pool and fishing from the dock. My family mentioned on many occasions how amazing the set up was; when we needed something, it was there. The night we used the grill, the tank was empty. We started to set out to go get a refill, but found a full tank waiting for us in the garage. All we needed to bring was our clothes and food, everything else was provided, to include some toiletries in the bathrooms in case you forgot something. The house was very comfortable; we thoroughly enjoyed our stay; close to everything we needed. I would highly recommend 627 Ball Harbor Blvd to anyone looking to get away with their family.

This house was better than the description. The hosts were very helpful and answered all of my questions promptly. Check in and check out was a breeze. Since it rained almost every day we were there it would have been nice to have more than just “guest” Hulu on the T.V. Overall a very nice property and we would definitely stay there again.
