About this house rental

Located in Port Huron, this lovely house for $126 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. This cute bungalow built in 1917 was completely remodeled and refurnished in 2016. Delightfully decorated and thoughtfully equipped, the home is steps away from one of the most beautiful beaches in Eastern Michigan. Walk to historic Fort Gratiot Lighthouse or simply enjoy a stroll along the St Clair River to the Thomas Edison Depot Museum or Blue Water Convention Center located under the Blue Water Bridge. Freighters can be seen regularly coming in from Lake Huron into the St. Clair River. Downtown Port Huron is a five minute drive to the south. Birchwood Mall, along with a plenty of retail shopping and restaurants, is a five minute drive to the north. The large porch is perfect for enjoying the morning sunrise with a cup of coffee or the warmth of a summer evening. If the summer days get too warm, stay inside in air conditioned comfort. There is high speed wireless internet and a 43” HDTV that has cable with an extensive channel selection, a TiVo DVR and BluRay player that will delight entertainment enthusiasts. The house is newly furnished. The first bedroom has a queen bed, large dresser with mirror, closet, night stand, and is equipped with a ceiling fan. The second bedroom has bunk beds with a dresser, a book and game case, a closet and its own cable TV for the kids. The queen size sofa sleeper can sleep an additional two people. A portable high chair and a Graco Pack N Play is available for a baby or toddler. Your mornings can start with instantly hot coffee or tea from the provided Keurig machine. The chef equipped kitchen comes with a toaster, crock pot, rice cooker, and waffle iron. A generous set of kitchen tools along with top of the line pots and pans and knives is every cook’s dream to prepare incredible meals. The driveway is large enough for multiple vehicles and there is also a fenced yard to enjoy (no pets allowed though, sorry). Abundant natural light streams in every room of this house through the new windows and blinds. Beach chairs, beach towels and sand toys are also available for your use. Pictures are accurate. Really cute house. Comfortable furniture. View of the lake is as described - not huge, but definitely visible and only a block away. Kitchen has great cooking equipment. And, easy access to a variety of great local eateries if you don't feel like cooking. Photos of the stairs outside into the house would have been helpful - not great for older or disable people at all. We managed, but it was a surprise. Only other thing I would have like to know, and this is really specific to us, the available bed was hard - super hard, and if you have back or other joint problems, you'll have trouble. However, the couches were pretty comfy, so there's a work around if you need it. My kid had no problem with the bunk beds - slept like a log. Despite the stairs and bed situation, it was still a great deal and suited our purposes just fine. It really was comfortable and way better than staying in a hotel! p.s. star rating on communication with property manager is because we didn't need to communicate. However, communication with the owner prior to arrival was great! Provided all kinds of helpful info, including how to operate the television and tivo.
