Our family group of 11, ages 15-84, spent a week in this house and loved it! From the spacious living areas to the four homey, comfortable bedrooms with attached bathrooms, to the large porch with a great view of the ocean and neighborhood, it was perfect for us. The three youngest in the family enjoyed having individual sleeping areas. The kitchen is well equipped and stocked with essentials, including a large refrigerator and plenty of ice. Bearskin Neck is a quick walk with good food options and fun shopping. A lovely small park is less than a block away. I was hesitant to book this place because it wasn’t the typical rental we choose (not so modern or “sleek”) but that’s what makes it so special. We discovered new objects of decor every day. :) So charming! At the beginning of our stay, we enjoyed the fireplace, but by the end of the week we used the effective window AC units. No problems, no complaints. We highly recommend Beach and King!

Beach & King is a beautiful and comfortable home, with very interesting and quirky art. Always something new and fun to see in every room. The kitchen is very workable and fully and generously stocked. The location could not be better, with views of the beach and, from my bedroom, stunning sunrises. It’s a nice and easy walk to shops and galleries and restaurants. Communication with Tim the owner was always easy and quick. My family and I had a wonderful and relaxing long weekend and highly recommend.

This utterly charming Beach& King property is one of the best I have ever experienced in many years of staying in rental spaces. For a group of 6 women (moms and daughters) it was perfect, with enough comfortable sleeping space and bathrooms for everyone to enjoy. The common areas were perfect -- there are multiple spaces for guests to lounge with coffee, do jigsaw puzzles, watch tv or take a nap. The front porch, which overlooks the beach, is another lovely place to enjoy conversation and people-watching. The house is a very close walking distance into Rockport for art and antique shopping, souvenirs and lots of eating choices. On one day, at our host's suggestion, we walked the short distance to the commuter rail station and rode the train into Salem and back, avoiding the infamous October traffic crowds and parking headaches. The kitchen was perfectly equipped and we made several meals with ease. Our host was incredibly gracious and very responsive. If I could give more stars, I would!

We absolutely loved our stay at Beach and King! House has incredible porch overlooking Front Beach with wonderful rocking chairs where you can sit with your morning coffee and enjoy seeing and hearing the waves and gulls. House is very well set up for everything you need. Beach chairs at your ready, incredibly well stocked kitchen, every room has en suite bathroom. We were a group that loves to cook and this was one of the best equipped kitchens we have ever experienced in a VRBO rental! House has wonderful art from local artists in every room (including Tim!). Easy 5 minute walk to all the shops and restaurants at Bearskin Neck but you are just enough out of town that you are away from the crowds. The owner Tim is terrific about communication and responds quickly to all questions, which made for an outstanding and easy stay. Definitely would rent again!
