We loved our room with patio, the location and the breakfast.
The bed was not particularly comfortable, it was quite soft and dipped on one side. The pool area and outside patio was lovely but needed to be cleaned. There was dust on the tables and chairs and leaves and debris in the pool. This was the only real disappointing part of the stay.

Heritage building ( with an interesting history told in the bevy) Peaceful & quiet location at cul-de-sac up the mt, large spacious room well-decorated room, with high ceilings & light-filled, def makes for true relaxation. Great little bistro downstairs within the building. Fantastic wholesome bhrwakfast incl. Kind lady managing the place. Great elevated pool & outdoor area with views of the valley.
All good nothing to really fault just a simple festoon tho!
No real human contact makes for a soulless experience - as the actual owners aren’t present ( self-check-in etc) it’s efficient but personally I’d prefer to know the ppl. - connect!
Filling in of forms … so you pay but you go all the work basically too.

A lovely hotel well decorated and clean with amazing views. Had a quick swim in the rooftop pool.
Superb breakfast.
Only tablet menus for evening meal.
Then the ‘quiz night’ that went on until 11.45pm. The quiz master was on a microphone and I would think most of Covilha heard him!! Not what you want when trying to sleep after a long journey. Ask if they are having a quiz if you want to sleep. My wife had ear plugs in but could still hear him.
