About this house rental
Situated in Hermosa Beach, this charming house for $698 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. This 2 bedroom, one and one-half bath unit is two levels with hardwood floors, quartz counter-tops and ocean views from the living room and both bedrooms. There is a kitchen with a breakfast bar (seating for three - no separate dining area), living room and powder room on the first level. The L/R has a bay window with a counter and four chairs so you can eat a meal, drink your coffee or work on your computer while enjoying a panoramic view of the beach and ocean. We call it the "sand bar." There is also a 54' ROKU TV so that you can sign in to your streaming services. There is no live TV. The second level contains two bedrooms, a bathroom with a shower and a private washer/dryer. Bedroom 1 has a queen size murphy bed that easily converts to a desk if you need another place to work. The second bedroom has two twin beds with pillow-top mattresses that can be combined to make a king size bed. There are no TVs in the bedrooms. Additionally, there is a 'bed in a box' in each bedroom which is basically a beautifully hidden cot. The rooms are a little crowded when the beds in a box are opened so we don't recommend counting on them for use on a regular basis. From the second level you go up to an amazing rooftop deck with a teak table and four chairs as well as two teak steamer chairs (the deck is shared - but just with us and we seldom use it). This unit is set on a beautiful beach with sand volleyball courts and a lifeguard stand directly in front of the unit. Surf or paddle board right out front or jump on the Strand and roller-blade, bike or skateboard on the twenty-mile path stretching from Redondo to Venice Beach and Santa Monica. It is just a 5 minute walk to Pier Ave. where you will find amazing restaurants, the Comedy Magic Club and AVP Volleyball tournaments. We provide linens and beach towels and are happy to let you borrow our boogie boards, beach chairs and beach umbrella. Sorry, no bikes or BBQ. There is free WIFI as well as a CAT5 internet hookup. There is designated off-street parking for one car. We had one guest who came for a month-and-a-half and stayed for almost two years and a second guest who came for six weeks and stayed for 14 months! Small pet may be considered with an additional deposit and cleaning fee. We love our neighbors! This unit is for quiet residential use only. As such, quiet hours are between 10pm and 8am and no events are permitted. We have a strict no party policy - maximum fines will be charged for any violation. There is no smoking of any kind (including marijuana), either indoors or outdoors, anywhere on the property. If any signs of smoking are detected, the guests agree to pay a $300 violation fee. Bookings at this property are nonrefundable. No refunds will be made for any part of unused days after arrival date. Separate travel insurance is recommended. We came in town for a concert in LA. We love Hermosa Beach and you can’t ask for a better place to stay than here. Susan and her husband are amazing hosts and the property was perfect! Hard to beat the location, right on the beach and short walks to everything!

Hermosa Beach is one of our favorite beach towns & this was our favorite visits yet. The townhome is steps off the beach, quick walk to the pier, it was super clean, with comfortable beds. Its just like its pictured but better. We loved having beach chairs to take out at sunset. The hosts couldn't be nicer. Thank you!

It was great to return to Hermosa Beach area. The accommodations were excellent. We were able to walk everywhere. The apartment was perfect for us. Susan was a great host and accessible and responsive with any questions we had. We will definitely return and would love to stay here again! It is a perfect location for a family or couples! You can rent buys a few blocks away. The rooftop deck was perfect in the mornings and to wait the sunset.

We have rented in Hermosa for years. This was the most wonderful experience we have ever had. The accommodations were spectacular, comfortable and roomy, just steps away from the beach. I highly recommend this apartment. The location is right on the Strand, you could hear the ocean while in the apartment. The owner was gracious and super attentive. Best price, best accommodations and premium location.

Hermosa beach is by far my favorite location to be in LA. This lodging was absolutely amazing; beautiful place, very spacious and up to date, right on the boardwalk/beach. The owner, Susan, is such a sweetheart and is extremely helpful for recommendations, ensuring we had everything we needed, and was so accommodating. She is also very friendly so definitely introduced yourself if possible!

My family had a marvellous vacation at this beautifully appointed apartment right on the sand with unbeatable ocean views. This apartment is perfect for couples or families with comfy beds featured in both the master bedroom and a versatile 2nd bedroom that can work as a bunk room for children or accommodate a second couple. A full and well stocked kitchen, beautiful work space/coffee bar overlooking the beach make an ideal spot to enjoy the South Bay. Susan is a thoughtful and welcoming host. We will definitely be back! I can’t recommend this property and host enough!

Can not say enough good things about this property. My wife, kids, and I decided to move back across the country to Hermosa Beach during our stay here.
The location is beyond amazing. Almost as close as you can be to the pier without hearing noise from people leaving the bars and restaraunts. Beach Drive was gated off every second block during our stay, so there wasn't even noise from traffic. But crack a window and you can hear the waves breaking from every room.
"Steps to the beach" often means Tiger can hit a driver to it. This is a firm putt. We could hang out on the balcony or roof-deck and keep an eye on our kids while they played on the beach or skateboarded on the pedestrian street. Also, a parking space at your entrance is a convenience that you really appreciate if you've stayed anywhere else in HB.
Shawn and Susan are interesting and genuinely kind people. One night when we were leaving, my 9 year old was ogling the steaks cooking on their grill. When we came back, they brought him a plate of it. Susan brought them sleds to go down the dunes, and sent us a text alert when Santa was spotted outside on the strand. They gave us our privacy, but were just so nice.
I tend to obsess on value, and I kept wondering what fraction of its annual property tax you pay to rent this place for a month. From a value perspective, it was the best of the 15-20 VRBOs I've rented, as well as my flat-out favorite.

Amazing stay!
I had an amazing stay at Villa Rosa- while I was planning to stay for only a few months, I wound up staying for 9 months. Susan and Shawn were incredibly sweet, making sure I had everything I needed, and helping me to feel welcome in my new city. The bed was very comfortable and I slept wet well here.
