About this cottage rental
A Great Vacation Rental centrally located on St. Simons Island in the Sea Palms community on the number 1 hole of Sea Palms Golf Resort. Next to a lovely lagoon, you will enjoy a very peaceful setting shared with nature. Two decks overhang the water for turtle and fish viewing. Appropriately decorated in a soft setting of sea foam, indigo blues, driftwoods, and grays. 55" Smart TV with full-service Xfinity and Netflix and Prime video along with free internet and Wi-Fi. There is another TV in the bedroom along with a very comfy chaise. Our cottage is located in the condo community of Fairway Villas but is a stand-alone unit.....very private. This is a one bedroom/one bath home, king size bed with a sleeper sofa in the living-room to accommodate an extra guest. We provide a thick topper for extra comfort on the sleeper sofa. Also included for your convenience is a starter package of soaps and paper goods. Walk across the road to the Public House at Sea Palms for breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks. Public golf is available at Sea Palms. St Simons has wonderful safe biking paths for all ages to take you right into the village or beach, which is approximately 5 miles from the cottage. Being centrally located on the island you can get anywhere in less than 15 minutes by car.

Excellent setting. Out of the way living quarters. Great base for two weeks on beach, golf courses plus we made new friends in the area.

The villa was beautiful...like an island surrounded by water. Three decks to enjoy the water views. It's also overlooking the golf course to enjoy that as well. The location is centrally located to everything.
The host is excellent on communicating with you. Guests have a book to look through as well to get familiar with St. Simon's Island.

I am a longtime and frequent visitor to St. Simons Island and usually stay with family but was unable to do so on this trip. The cottage is convenient to everything, Harris Teeter, Sea Island the causeway and is on a very pretty site off the first tee.
These cottages are built on small ponds. The turtles can feel the vibration when you come to the porch and they want to say "Hi!"
The washer and dryer are handy, nice open layout and a good place to hang out with sweeping views.

We were looking for a quiet getaway and this fit the bill perfectly. Lovely location and beautifully furnished cottage. Very quiet and private yet close to a great grocery store and 15 minutes or less to restaurants. Also, good location for traveling to neighboring islands.
Barry was an exceptional host. Ha be never had a host check in the morning after arrival just to be sure all was OK.

This was our third time staying at Tabby Cottage, and it was a lovely experience as always. We had everything we needed and more. Great location on the island and excellent amenities. The host, Barry, checked with us soon after we arrived to make sure everything was to our satisfaction.

We had a great time exploring the area! It was always nice to come back to relax on the deck overlooking the water. Would highly recommend the dolphin tour on Jekyll Island and Frederica Restaurant too. Definitely would consider coming back.

Barry’s place was situated in an ideal SSI location… close to everything!
Enjoyed the patio and watching the golfers tee off. Kitchen was well stocked and condo was clean and comfortable! Would definitely stay again. The washer/dryer was a huge plus!

Cozy villa perfect for two people, doesn’t adjoin any others in the complex. Super quiet, only two steps onto the deck made this unit fairly accessible. Well furnished kitchen.

We love everything about this cottage. We enjoy the island period. Be located at the first hole of the golf course was quiet and joyful. Watch them started the game. Let not forget the turtles and fishes that was waiting on us everyday.

renovation going on next door was troublesome. the property was old, moldy and buggy. away from beach. did have washer and dryer and that was only good thing. would not rent again.

The condo was located just off the first tee of the golf course. Home had 3 deck over a pond filled with hungry turtles. Short drive to all spots of interest.

We could not have asked for anything more during our stay , the house had everything we could need and was located in a quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed watching the fish and turtles off the deck and the golfers as they went by after teeing off . There are many restaurants in the area and grocery stores within a couple of miles . Within 15 minutes at slow speeds you can be at the pier and enjoy the ocean . We could not have asked for a better place to stay and would love to go again in the future .

Tabby Cottage is perfect for a couple. Very nice area, great for neighborhood walks and a quiet location. Only a quick drive to the downtown and short distance to a grocery store, pharmacy and shops/restaurants.

Perfect place to relax on a golf course. Golf course itself was amazing. Quiet neighborhood. We had our dogs with us and were able to walk them around the neighborhood. Everyone there is pet friendly which we greatly appreciated. Barry our host was easy to contact and such an amazing host. Highly recommend it. We will be back!

This was a quiet place with a lot of relaxing capabilities. Sitting on the deck with the turtles was amazing. A lot of good/fantastic restaurants around and the Sunday brunch at Sago is amazing.

From the very beginning, my interactions with Barry were timely, professional and kind. The condo was absolutely perfect and looked exactly as described and pictured in the listing. The condo came with anything you would need to feel at home - in the bedroom, bathroom and especially the kitchen. I absolutely LOVED that there was both a Keurig AND traditional coffee maker (I’m team traditional coffee maker!). We did cook a few times and the pots/pans and dishes/flatware were plentiful. The location on the lagoon was charming with plenty of turtles to welcome you from one of the THREE decks. We fed them daily and counted 24 of them one morning, so cute. It was so nice to end the day with a glass of wine on the deck. We achieved exactly what we were looking for - rest and relaxation. Barry, thank you for being a wonderful host.

So Comfortable and Relaxing
The condo was wonderful—very clean, quiet, and in a beautiful golf community. We usually rent places with 2 beds and 2 baths just for the extra room, but this condo felt very spacious. The master bedroom was huge, there was plenty of space in the living and dining area to entertain guests, and enough storage to keep things put away. We didn’t cook, but the kitchen was well equipped for just about any type of food preparation. We loved being there and would have enjoyed staying longer. We’ll remember this condo for future visits to St. Simons.
Barry was a communicative and helpful host who made our stay run smoothly and without a hitch.

July 4th Holiday Weekend
We had a lovely 5 days. Weather was warm 86-90 but with warm breezes very enjoyable. Fed the turtles and fish off the 3 decks off the condo. Fireworks were awesome and while very crowded we had a wonderful view and we were able to escape before the traffic really built up to exit. Went to Sal's Pizzeria and Crabdaddys and while crowded, both very enjoyable. We would return in the future.

Like so many others I had not traveled for the past few years due to COVID, so a simple and problem free experience was what I was looking for, and I got it!
The condo is beautifully decorated and clean, clean, clean. Location couldn't have been more peaceful or convenient as well as entertaining with the turtles and elegant woodstorks and egrets.......total bliss and just what I was needing.
Barry is an attentive yet laid back host, ready to help in anyway if needed but not interferring in anyway. All my interactions with him were efficient and easy, he's a terrific host and very thoughtful in how he's put together the condo.
