About this condo rental
Located in Wailea, this lovely condo for $195 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. We are a 2-3 minute walk to beautiful Kamaole Beach III. Our building is located in quiet building 5 on the 2nd floor. Our unit is close to the elevator but far enough away to not hear it. Additionally, there is a beautiful ocean view from our lanai! The remodel of our unit has now been completed and we would love to share our new additions with you! This condo offers an upgraded vacation experience and is fully equipped with everything that you need to have a great vacation. The following items have just been completed: - Fresh paint - New porcelain tile floors throughout the unit (no carpet) - New bedroom set to complement the king bed - New couch in the living room - A new 46 inch high definition flat screen TV in the living room - Both bathrooms have been remodeled with new granite counters, new sinks and faucets. - New Split Air in the Living Room and Bedroom - New Washer and Dryer - New Water Heater - New plantation shutters in the bedroom - New kitchen chairs The kitchen is well equipped with granite counters, a built in microwave and stainless steel appliances. A new sofa has been added to the living room along with a new 46' flat screen TV and a new Blue Ray Player. Enjoy the beautiful lanai to relax or dine outside while taking in the beautiful garden views of the 15 acre tropical resort. You will also see an ocean view! You should also know that our listing is one of the few truly “by owner” Kamaole Sands properties on VRBO and HomeAway. Believe it or not 85% of the Kamaole Sands listings on these sites are managed and operated by vacation rental management companies on Maui, where a guest will have no interaction with the actual owner of the condo. In contrast, Karen and I personally handle and manage every single VRBO and HomeAway inquiry and booking for Kamaole Sands unit 5-203. If you book our condo, or send an email to ask a question, you will interact directly with us, not a management company. After all, isn’t VRBO supposed to be Vacation Rental “BY OWNER”? It is our ultimate goal to provide you with an excellent vacation experience. This is not a typical rental as we treat our unit as our second home. Since you rent "owner direct" from us, we are able to provide you a quality condo at a very competitive price! Our 1 bedroom 2 bathroom remodeled condo is a large 818 square feet and located in the magnificent Kamaole Sands resort in South Maui. With convenient elevator access to the 2nd floor, it is located in the very quiet building 5, which is know as the 'inner courtyard'. FREE HIGH SPEED INTERNET (wireless) is provided to all our guests for your computer. and prepaid by the owner. FOR THE BEACH: The condo is stocked with a beach Umbrella, Cooler, Two Boogie Boards, and two new Tommy Bahama Beach Chairs. SPAS/RESORTS Less than 5 minutes away: Four Seasons Resort, The Grand Wailea, Fairmont Kea Lani, Wailea Beach Marriott. Anytime of year is a great time to visit Maui! With the cool Trade Winds, the summers are cooler than most mainland summers, and the winters are famously warmer. Kamaole III beach is across the street with it's beautiful protected beach and grassy play areas, playgrounds and shady trees on the upper level. We are walking distance to several restaurants and shops, and less than a five minute drive to the exclusive Wailea shops, golfing and restaurants. There are grocery stores (Safeway, Star Market and Foodland) and many reasonably priced to expensive restaurants, boutique shops and souvenir shops. We love being able to help our guests enjoy their time in Maui, so we are pleased to offer you a luxurious retreat for a reasonable price. For a relaxing longer and quieter stay, come visit us from June thru October when the crowds are gone but the natural attractions of Maui are still abundant. Sun baked beaches, warm ocean waters...treat yourself to an unforgettable and wonderful vacation! ONSITE FEATURES at Kamaole Sands include a large swimming pool, two hot tubs, a children's wading pool, four tennis courts, snack bar, activity desk, exercise room and eight barbecues with picnic areas. - COMPLIMENTARY coffee and local newspaper are available from 7am to 9am in the lobby area. - COMPLIMENTARY Hula party with live music every Wednesday in the pool area. The condo will have a start-up supply of paper items and soaps available for your use. Guests are required to replenish as necessary throughout their stay. - The 24-hour front desk offers wake up call and dry cleaning services. Please Note: Kamaole Sands charges a $25 registration fee (owner pays) and a resort fee upon check-in. The resort fee is $21 per stay + $3 per day. Stayed at this well maintained condo for 12 days. Good view, nice pool, barbeque grill area. Beach located across the street. Would give this unit a 6 star rating (instead of 5 star max rating). Hope to return again sometime!

Kamaole Sands and this condo are very attractive and well-appointed. The balcony was roomy and its view was gorgeous. Beyond the comfy unit itself, I especially appreciated the elevator as well as the pool area. The latter was quite spacious with an abundant supply of lounge chairs and tables arranged in all degrees of shade, from none to total. The hosts were very responsive when I contacted them with a question.

This is a beautiful, very clean, stylish 1 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo that is in an excellent location in Kihei. The view is stunning! Lots of love and care went into decorating this condo. The furniture and bed are very comfortable, and as I love to cook, it makes me happy to see a fully equipped kitchen with new or in excellent shape items to cook with! Communicating with the kind, generous and considerate owners is a breeze. Highly recommend !

My husband and I decided to visit Maui for our honeymoon having heard great things about the island. We looked through many accommodation listings at different resorts, eventually choosing Len and Karen’s condo.
Choosing this condo set us on course for having the most incredible vacation. The condo itself is absolutely wonderful - exceptionally clean, the furnishings are comfortable and updated, the kitchen is fully stocked, the lanai has beautiful views and everything you need for a beach day is provided including chairs, umbrella, coolers, body boards etc. Kamaole Sands is an impeccably maintained resort and the location in South Kihei is ideal.
The Maui wildfires happened just a few short weeks prior to our arrival date and we had major concerns about whether it would be safe and appropriate for us to travel there. Len was kind, patient and understanding while we waited to see how the emergency recovery unfolded. I cannot say enough good things about Len and our communication with him. He put our minds at ease and played a significant role in our vacation being so wonderful, he was always available for our questions and provided a lot of great recommendations.
Overall, our vacation was beyond perfect and one that we will remember forever. I intend to recommend Len (and Karen!), their condo and Maui at every possible opportunity and would give this review 100 stars if I could!

Everything worked out to be perfect. The location is very easy to access. The property was as described. Very close to many beaches. The Maui fires broke out the day we arrived. The property owner was very caring and kept us in the loop of what was happening around us. We would rent again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Len & Karen’s Kamaole Sand’s condo. The condo was beautifully decorated and it had all the various things needed for a vacation away from home. The kitchen was well stocked and there were beach chairs, an umbrella and cooler for beach days. The staff at check-in were so welcoming and the pool attendants were also very kind and helpful. The gym was also updated during our stay which was nice as my partner and I both like yo workout. There were two new treadmills and two new elliptical machines installed, as well as weight machines and cable machines. We highly recommend staying at unit 5 203, you will love it! 🏝️☀️ Andrea & JP

Condo was clean. Owners were very easy to communicate with and helpful with any questions or requests for recommendation. The facility was within walking distance of the beach and the lanai had a view too.Chairs, umbrella, cooler and beach towels were at the condo which worked out great for days at the beach. Lots of eateries within walking distance. Overall, great facility and location! We just had the windows open and the cross breeze was enough to keep us cool. We never had to use the AC.

We stayed in this unit for 11 days in June 2023. The listing of the property was accurate as described. The unit was clean, comfortable, and the property manager was responsive to all communications. He also recommended many restaurants that we patronized and they were all excellent. We would definitely stay here again!

Very nice condo. Owner has all the bases covered. Lovely grounds as well. Short walk to beach. Close to other beautiful beaches in sunny Kihei. Plenty of restaurants nearby and owner shared good recommendations. Would definitely book again.

The place was exactly as mentioned. Very clean, well kept and it had everything we needed. Len the owner was in touch from the date we booked until the day we left, and provided us with a lot of good info and suggestions of things to do and places to eat. Beach across the way was a great place to watch sunsets, sea turtles and whale sightings. We will definitely be back again!

Do not hesitate to book this condo. The kitchen is well stocked, clean and everyone is so friendly. The location is awesome. I would not hesitate to book this condo in the future when/if we return to Maui. Len is an excellent communicator and answered any and all questions. Very happy we stayed here.

This property was listed as advertised. We enjoyed our stay and will be back. If you have never stayed in Kihei, do it. The beaches, shops, and restaurants are nearby. The condo was beautifully decorated with all the things you need for a great vacation. Even beach gear, umbrellas, coolers, chairs and Boggie boards were an added plus. The owners were great to work with and at our fingertips when needed. That made our stay even more relaxing. This place is a diamond.

My husband and I stayed in Len and Karen’s beautiful condo for our two week honeymoon and can’t say enough about it! The place was clean, had everything we needed for the beach and was in a perfect location for beaches, food etc. I am looking forward to making it back to Maui and staying in their condo again as it was such a pleasant stay.

My husband and were very pleased with the condo. It was very clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked. Len and Karen thought of everything that a guest would appreciate having. So thankful for the use of the beach chairs, fluffy towels, cooler and boogie Boards! So much fun! Len was very attentive and available to answer any questions that we had and spent a lot of time sending us helpful information as far as restaurants and things to do in the area. My wife and I stayed at Len and Karen’s place for our honeymoon. We loved our stay. The location was perfect. Walking distance to a couple of beautiful beaches and a close drive to some of the nicest beaches on the island. We loved all of the amenities that this property had such as the pool and gym. Also, having things like a cooler, beach chairs and umbrella provided made a huge difference and was so convenient for our daily beach trips. Len was very friendly and responsive. I would highly recommend this property

Home away from home
This was our first time booking through VRBO so I was a little nervous. I was pleasantly surprised to see how simple and easy the process was. The owner of the property communicated regularly and answered questions that I didn’t even know I had! The bed was comfortable, the place was clean, and the decor made it feel homey. There are two bathrooms/showers which was great so I could take up space in one and my husband could use the other.
The pool was easy to access, and the bbq area was very close too. I was also loving how close the beach was and all the extras (cooler/Tommy Bahama chairs) that were provided by the owner.
If we ever return to Maui, we would not look elsewhere because we were so happy with this condo. We would hands down book this same place again.
