About this house rental
Situated in Sunset Cliffs, this attractive house for $525 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Beautiful Mediterranean home. Top of the line kitchen: 48' Subzero refrigerator/freezer, Wolfe range, granite countertops. Cookware and utensils provided. Large 2-story 'great room', perfect for relaxing with family and friends. Three bedrooms with queen beds. Two large bedrooms upstairs and one bedroom downstairs. All bedrooms have beautiful en-suite bathrooms, with marble and glass shower, heated marble floors. Bathroom #2 upstairs has clawfoot tub. Beautiful hardwood floors throughout (except bathrooms). Ocean views from most of the house. Kitchen nook provides extra seating / work space. Two story great room with fireplace provides spacious area for relaxing, enjoying ocean view and sunsets. High quality linens and mattresses (fully encased in zippered, quiet, breathable protective covers that protect from allergens, etc.) . Beautiful stained glass pieces are displayed. Most are from early 1920s. Conveniently located. Quiet neighborhood minutes from downtown San Diego, beaches, shopping, entertainment. There is a studio/workshop in the back of the property; the owners occasionally stay there. Our home sleeps 6 comfortably (3 bedrooms with queen beds); additional person(s) can sleep on queen inflatable mattress or single mattress in larger bedroom. If there are young children, please state ages in your request so we can prepare accordingly (eg, put away breakable objects). Thanks. This is a quiet neighborhood. We respect our neighbors. No excessive noise will be tolerated, and will result in dismissal. NO SMOKING! One of our daughters is allergic to smoke residue. Easily accessible to: Surfing, sunset - Sunset Cliffs Natural Park: 5 min Sailing - San Diego Yacht club, Shelter Island - 5 min Beaches - Ocean Beach - 5 min; Mission/Pacific Beach - 10 min; La Jolla - 15 min Airport - 5-10 min Trolley and Train station- 10 min Downtown San Diego - Fine Dining, Gaslamp District - 10 min Sea World - 10 min San Diego Zoo - 15 min Golf Courses - Torrey Pines Golf and others - 15 min Horse racing - Del Mar Racetrack - 20 min All linens, towels (including beach towels) provided. We have a cat and dog (Buddy, Cocker Spaniel) that are in the house when it's not rented; they're not allowed to enter one bedroom that is always closed. NO SMOKING ALLOWED!

We loved staying at this house - perfect for a group of 5-6 people. The bedrooms are comfortable and each has a beautifully updated bathroom. The living room is comfortable and beautiful and the kitchen is large, functional with nice appliances and well equipped. The house is a classic 1920s Spanish style - just what old San Diego should look like, but totally modern on the inside. Location is great - quiet and with a view of the ocean but only 15-20 minutes from downtown and Balboa Park. About 25 minutes to La Jolla and Torrey Pines. Great grocery store around the corner. The owners are very welcoming as well. Would definitely stay here again next time in San Diego with a group of family or friends.

Perfect location and home to bring our family together in a very nicely appointed location. Perfect looking at the Pacific during dinner and everyone had their own wonderfully appointed bedroom and beautiful bathrooms. The great room was large with soaring ceilings and windows and a large TV with seats for all to watch the parade and some football during our stay. The kitchen had everything a chef needed for our feast and many extras that were appreciated.

Convenient to the Pacific coastline, and beaches, restaurants, the National park, downtown and even Torry Pines. Great location for walking. Highly recommend.

The house was very comfortable and everything you needed was supplied. The backyard was spacious, beautiful and we enjoyed use of the patio furniture. The owner was very easy to communicate with. This is an absolutely stunning Historical home in San Diego. The pictures and descriptions were beautiful, but actually don't do this property justice. It was spotless and well stocked with pantry staples and any appliance you might need. The owners are lovely and very responsive to any needs you may have. Our stay here didn't feel like we were 'renting' space but felt like we were visiting with family. I can't say enough about how Jennie and Richard made our family feel welcome. Visits from the dog Buddy were an added bonus.

We had an absolutely amazing time at this sunset cliffs historic home. Close to Ocean beach and walking distance to the beautiful sunset cliffs hike down to the sea cave! The property is beautiful and well cared for in every aspect! We loved the historic touches and beautiful kitchen for family meals. And our children loved our morning visits from Buddy and the backyard for play! Peaceful location and the ocean views from the big bay windows were wonderful. Thank you Jennie for a great stay! Highly recommend for a wonderful San Diego experience.

Loved every part of our stay except there was construction going on right next door every day except Sunday. The construction workers had their radio going on some days and it was distracting when we were sitting outside. Other than that, a perfect vacation.

This is a beautiful, historic home in a quiet neighborhood. It has an ocean view from the front porch. It is very conveniently located. The owners are exceptionally helpful and a joy to talk to. Definitely recommend this location if you’re visiting San Diego!

Everything was terrific, but my only comment is regarding the construction next door. Unfortunately, I did have to work during this trip at different points during the day, and the construction noise made it difficult.

We had a great week at this house. It's beautiful, comfortable and well stocked. I loved the neighborhood. But, we were surprised to find that the house next door is being rebuilt from the studs. It didn't cause much of a problem for us, but some of our family members wished they could have slept in on their vacation. That said, I would still rent this home again. It just would have been nice to have a heads up on the construction noise.

Beautiful House, but FYI there's construction next door
We had a great week at this house. It's beautiful, comfortable and well stocked. I loved the neighborhood. But, we were surprised to find that the house next door is being rebuilt from the studs. It didn't cause much of a problem for us, but some of our family members wished they could have slept in on their vacation. That said, I would still rent this home again. It just would have been nice to have a heads up on the construction noise.

Staying at this home in Sunset Cliffs was so nice. Beautiful home, beautiful views and everything we needed to prepare meals. Our hosts were so nice and so hospitable. They even came and had a glass of wine with us.

Wonderful house, location and hosts
This was the perfect place for 4 adults abd one 16 year old. Each br has a bath. Loved the location. Could see ocean from front porch, dining room and one br. Very well stocked kitchen. Met the hosts who were nice and helpful. Close to airport restaurants and easy access to interstates. Would highly recommend this Vrbo. Exceeded our expectations.

The neighborhood is very nice, very safe. Super close to Sunset Cliffs, probably 20 minutes driving time from all the tourist places in San Diego. Very clean house, nicely decorated. I’d stay here again and I plan to share this house/link with others traveling to SD.
