Situated in Bozeman, this charming cottage for $126 per night is a great option for your next vacation. The Garden Cottage is a wonderful free-standing one-room suite with no noises from the room next door because there is no room next door. Settle into this historic neighborhood and you'll be just 3 blocks from downtown Bozeman and 2 blocks from the up and coming Northeast urban district with Bozeman's best bakery. Garden Cottage is managed by Bozeman Cottage Vacation Rentals, a small homegrown Bozeman company with over 20 years of experience. This converted Model-A barn is located in the backyard with private yard, alley entrance, and alley parking spot. It has been fully remodeled to include vaulted ceilings with skylights, a full kitchen, gas fireplace and clawfoot bathtub. The kitchen, living area, and bedroom are in one space and high ceilings with skylight and a big, happy plant overseeing the spacious room. There is a small, traditional bathroom with clawfoot tub and shower, and a closet for storage. There is a loft where our big plant lives and some extra supplies, it's not a sleeping loft. A cast iron gas fireplace easily heats the well-insulated studio. There is a small tv with digital antennae and a dvd player, and of course full-fledged internet service. The entrance has a large deck with sitting table and a bbq grill facing the wild yard maintained by the owners. From the entrance gate in the alley, the foot path meanders under a huge shade tree, past the flower gardens, and to a world record size rhubarb plant welcoming you to the door! One of the best things about the Garden Cottage is how close it is to downtown and the desirable, historic parts of Bozeman. It's easy to leave the car parked and get to much of what Bozeman has to offer, and we also deliver rental bikes to your door as an additional option at roughly half the price of other bike rental options. As with all Bozeman Cottage houses, the Garden Cottage is equipped with a drip style coffee maker, coffee grinder, a starter pack of fresh, local coffee, linens, pots/pans, cooking utensils, spices, dry goods (flour, sugar, etc), and EO brand non-toxic bath products. We also provide extensive local info on everything from where to buy real Montana meat & locally grown vegetables to great hiking trails, rafting links to restaurant coupons. We believe in local economies and know the best places! Garden Cottage is a licensed tourist home facility through the MT Dept of Health and Human Services, license # H-301554 County 16 Gallatin. This was a really cute and comfortable spot for two! The location is convenient. We didn't really need to connect with the property manager because everything we needed was there.

Was looking for something that was easy, close to town and no-frills as I wasn't going to be spending a ton of time there. This fit the bill perfectly. Clean, easy to find, comfy bed, and everything I needed for my stay. Will be back the next time I'm in Bozeman!

This was our first time in Bozeman and the location of the cottage was perfect for walking distance to the cute downtown. It was very difficult to find the cottage as it is definitely tucked away in an alley.
It is definitely for a 1 to 2 person only.

The property was exactly as described but wish the property was at least given a little more love and attention. Started out with taking a shower right when we checked in since we came from camping and the shower smelled like moldy curtains. Which they were. As well as the drain was very slow and I ended up pulling out a huge slimy wad of hair. The back yard also could be a quaint place to sit and relax but it so overgrown with weeds and not maintained at all. It rained several times while we were there and you have to walk and dodge mud to get to the back door. Also the picnic table would have been nice to use with our son but is also covered in mold. We also had to kill bugs and spiders daily that were crawling on the bedspread. Like I said very unfortunate that the owners don’t see the value in better maintenance.

Great little bungalow tucked away in a garden (summer stay!)
The bed is super comfortable (VERY important in a rental)!!
The kitchen is pretty well stocked, as far as utensils and table ware. The water out of the tap tastes pretty good! Except for the occasional train whistle in the middle of the night, it was very quiet in this neighborhood. We will probably rent again on another visit to Bozeman!

Great secluded spot in town
Like having your own private 1-room cabin in the woods except you’re walking distance to downtown and lots of great little coffee shops in the immediate area. My only complaint during my stay was the dang mosquitos, but that is not anyone’s fault but mother nature’s! Otherwise, a magical little spot. If you’re staying long enough to need to do laundry (as I did), a laundromat on Main Street served the purpose. I was sad to leave.

Charming and well-equipped little cottage in quiet neighborhood, convenient to Main Street and to highway. It was great to have a kitchen; even had juice and yogurt there when I arrived. Great base for visiting family and going on hiking adventures. Great peaceful spot to return in the evening. Parking for one car. Much more interesting than a basic hotel room!

Wonderful, clean, cozy, and close to everything!
Needed last minute housing for my daughter before she moved into her apartment near MSU for the semester. Found this little gem right near MainStreet and Paul was super responsive and helpful! My daughter reported that it was cute, cozy, and clean, and she felt very safe staying there on her own for a few days.
She facetimed with me while she was there (I live in Alaska), and the place looked so nice and comfortable.
We will definitely keep this place in mind for future visits to Bozeman if we need a small, well-appointed rental close to downtown and campus!

Generally as described/advertised.
Conveniently located very near downtown and located within a nice older neighborhood. Very much appreciated that a well behaved dog was accommodated.
The premises could use a bit of extra cleaning from time to time and a bit of routine light maintenance, e.g., sink drain, oscillating floor fam, tree branches heavily rubbed against side of house and rooftop when winds were present one night. Alley parking area small but adequate for mid to small vehicles. Again some trimming of tree branches would be beneficial.
Paul was very responsive regarding a couple of questions. Enjoyed staying at the Garden Cottage.

Garden Hide-Away
Cute little cottage tucked back into a quiet garden. One floor, nice kitchen area, comfy bed and a great claw foot tub in the bathroom. Nice deck to sit outside and enjoy a drink. Walking distance to downtown. Cons - limited TV channels (may be a +!), nice skylights add light to the inside, but make sleeping in very difficult. It was unseasonably warm while we were there, but cottage cooled down nicely with fans.

Good Bed, poor Bathroom
When traveling, you want a nice bed and a nice bathroom. Unfortunately, this rental only has one of those. The bed and room was comfortable but the bathroom left a lot to be desired. A rounded bottom claw foot tub/shower with curtain all around and not even a soap dish inside with very touchy water adjustments was unpleasant. The sink is tiny with a small unfinished wood shelf above it and a small mirror to the side. This is a very substandard bathroom and not easy to use.
Bozeman is a great place and the location is convenient, although the walkway in to the cottage has low hanging branches. It was nice to have a small kitchen to prepare coffee and snacks in and the place was clean.

This is a sweet little studio on a quiet alleyway. It has everything you need with a fully functioning kitchen, and a comfortable bed. On cold days it heats up quickly.
