We had a fabulous time at this hotel. We stayed with my 3 year old and the play room was 10/10. The breakfast was also delicious!

I didn’t get a chance to experience the outdoor seating thanks to the pouring rain, but the indoor lounge and bar were excellent — atmospheric, comfortable and a great place to relax. The rooms were spacious and, I believe, fairly traditional by Japanese standards, which added to the Hakone experience.
Breakfast was very Japanese, which was interesting and authentic, although having a Western option as an alternative would have been welcome. The location is also quite convenient for exploring Hakone’s main attractions.
Dinner was quite overpriced for what it was and finished surprisingly early. If you get hungry later in the evening, your fine-dining Hakone experience may therefore conclude with a sandwich from the local convenience store.

Quite old, onsen is always busy couldn’t find a accessible time, always full or locked, even public ones also locked
