Situated in Hilton Head Island, this lovely house for $425 per night is a great choice for your next trip. One of the very best located properties in Palmetto Dunes. Walk everywhere. Perfect vacation location! Two minute walk to tennis and pickleball courts, restaurants and golf on award winning Palmetto Dunes Plantation. Back yard paradise with 30' heated pool with spa, golf putting green, deck, screened porch and second level sun deck. Spacious interior with 5 bedrooms decorated in gracious Southern charm. Loads of extras including 7 bikes, 2 kayaks, large Weber grill, hammock, lots of beach chairs and pool toys. Sunny vaulted family room with 55" flat screen smart TV. Huge, well equipped 20' kitchen with stainless steel appliances. The dining room seats 6 with an adjoining breakfast room seating 6. The bedrooms include Charleston Summerville master suite with a king bed and private bath with furniture quality granite double sink. The Augusta Room has a queen bed and shares a Jack and Jill bath with granite double sink with the Nautical Room which has 2 twin beds. Completing the downstairs is a half bath with granite sink convenient o the pool area and a sitting area with a hand painted Charleston mural. Upstairs is the Hemingway Room with a queen bed and private access to the sundeck overlooking the pool. This room also has a charming sleeping nook with toddler bed. The fifth bedroom is the Lighthouse Keepers Cottage featuring twin beds. Completing the upstairs is a full bath. We are third row ocean so a nice short 2 minute walk across a wooded lot from the pool area brings you to the beachfront homes and private beach. For outdoor relaxing you'll find 2 dining areas - an umbrella table for 6 and an elevated bar table for 4. For sun worshipers there are 6 poolside chaise lounging chairs and 2 chaise lounges on the second level sundeck. Adding to the fun is a synthetic professional grade putting green, lighthouse corn hole game, rope hammock and box full of pool and beach toys. Outdoor shower, adult 2 person kayak, youth single person kayak and 4 adult bikes + 3 small children's bikes for exploring the island. For your indoor entertainment we have 6 TVs, DVDs, VCRs, toy chest full of fun toys, games and books. Pool and or spa can he heated for an additional fee. One of our guests indicated that our home is less than a 10 minute walk from the beach. I timed my walk from our back yard to the beach and it took 1 minute and 30 seconds.. I am a fast walker but I am also 75 years old.

We rang in the New Year with family and it was the perfect getaway. It was too cold for the pool but the hot tub made up for it! Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful spacious house, very comfortable with great amenities. We enjoyed the heated pool and spa, the bikes, the kayaks. Only 2 min walking distance from the beautiful beach, a few minutes walk to tennis / pickleball and golf. The owner was very responsive and helpful throughout.

We had a great time. We baked, cooked and order in. We hung out in the hot tub and took walks on the beach. We watched the sunrise and celebrated birthdays. It was wonderful!

This property has everything we need to prepare, relax, celebrate and just be together. Clear and precise instructions- excellent communication from reserving to check in and departure. Steps to the beach, dune house Marriott tennis and the general store-We’re definitely coming back!

We were able to cook dinners every night-no shortage of pots/skillets/mixing bowls. There was a fully stocked slice lazy Susan for any possible needs. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool. All 10 of us had a beach chair-the wagons made it easy to transport everything. Our pregnant daughter especially loved the pop up tent to sit in the shade. We plan to use this property again when the grandsons are a few years older.

If you read any of the other wonderful reviews…just ditto that. Property and hosts were magnificent! Every thing was exactly how it was described and best ever equipped for a beach trip. The wildlife in the backyard of deer, and a bald eagle were a plus.

We had a wonderful stay in this property. It is everything that is advertised and more. There are so many amenities and extras provided. The hosts are amazing and do everything to ensure a fabulous stay. The location is one of our favorite areas in Hilton Head. We can't wait to return!

We were a family of grandparents, children and grandchildren. We loved the location - only a few minutes was to the beach. Also the beach was fairly private - you could tell it was much less crowded than the public beach farther down. The kitchen was extremely well equipped. The listing says it has service for 12, but there is a lot more plates, cups and silverware than that. No need to bring your own. We all loved the pool and the very private back yard. The owners respond very quickly with any questions you have.

Even though there were 6 adults and two toddlers, we had so much space (with room for a few more). The week was beautiful and the house exceeded our expectations. The host was super easy to communicate with, the home was very clean and well-stocked, the location was perfect--literally a 2 minute walk down a beachy path to the most amazing portion of beach--the pool was refreshing on hot afternoons, and we enjoyed grilling and putt-putting right in the backyard. We hope to stay again when we return to Hilton Head. Our only complaint is that we only had 7 days.

The property was just like described on-line and by the owner. All the rooms were very comfortable and spacious enough for our group of 10. The pool was big enough for our group and was professionally cleaned twice during our stay. The walk to the beach took less than 10 mins. The owner was great to work with and made sure all our needs were met. I highly recommend this property and plan to use it again in the future.

Fantastic vacation spot! This house really is set up for a family to relax and enjoy vacation! Plenty of refrigerator space and the ice maker is a definite plus!! Easy walk to the beach. It's a really nice home, very clean with lots of space to accommodate multiple families. We traveled with 9 adults. It has good amenities, with the hot tub and ice maker being the favorites for our group. We also enjoyed some of the NCAA Basketball Tournament on the big screen TV in the family room. This was an ideal location for our family getaway. The owner was accessible and helpful in working through a couple of issues. This is a perfect location on Hilton Head Island. The beach is close by. Shopping and food and entertainment are nearby as well. A great time was had by all!

Gordon made us feel at home from the beginning. Their beautiful home was more than we needed. We enjoyed the bikes, spa, well stocked kitchen, puzzle, movie selection, grill, pickle ball courts nearby and proximity to the beach. Loved the separate ice maker for drinks. So many tables for puzzles, games and eating. Everything was well organized with lots of extras that made us feel at home. Would absolutely stay here again, maybe during turtle season!

The house, property and location was absolutely perfect for our family. Everything is designed for guest comfort. Many hours were spent in the heated pool and spy and enjoyed by our entire family. I can’t say enough about how amazing this vacation was for our families. The house was in a great location, had more than enough kitchen items for our group of 11, the pool was awesome and we used the bikes and kayak. Plenty of beach setup items and cart to carry them the short distance to the beach. Gordon’s communication was great and he was very responsive and maneuvered the hurricane situation with ease. We will definitely go back. Great memories made!

Perfect location! Lots of included activities and amenities. As of early-mid August, the hot tub heat & jets weren’t working which was a bummer for us northerners who like hot tubs at night, and we were awakened throughout the week by fire alarms here and there. No big / real issues! Would recommend and stay again!

We had a great time at 18 Mooring Buoy. The Property Owner's are very pleasant and communicative. We didn't run into issues that impacted our visit. Palmetto Dunes is a beautiful area, perfect for a family vacation. The house itself is starting to appear a little dated, but it had everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable. The pool and outdoor deck areas are great. It's just a short and easy 2-3 minute walk to a great and wide area of the beach. The house worked well for our family, (2 grand parents, 2 parents, and two children under 3). We didn't even really need to use the two upstairs bedrooms. Overall, we had wonderful time and would stay again.

My family enjoyed our first family trip in 3 years. The home was clean and spacious enough that we didn’t feel crowded in the home (there were 7 adults, 2 teens and 2 kids- ages 3 & 5). Pool was cleaned twice a week and the home is very close the beach. We also enjoyed watching deer walk through the yards. Great communication by the owners and detailed information on the property and surrounding area. The neighborhood is so peaceful, I loved sitting on the porch or balcony to relax. We hated to leave!

We had a girl's trip with 7 of us. The house was perfect! Great location, close to everything. Rode the bikes, used the pool and hot tub (I would recommend paying the extra for heat, well worth it). Easy walk to the beach and the Dunes House restaurant. Lots of space to hang out in and outside the house. Plenty of fridge space with an extra one by the deck and a separate ice maker. Loved it here. I would stay again.
