Located in Caldwell, this attractive cabin for $227 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Must be at least 25 years of age to book. Welcome to Blue Mist! Blue Mist is a cozy, 3BR mountain home with a log exterior, long-range views, attached garage, downstairs den and game room, and lots of deck space. Situated on a quiet road surrounded by woods on three sides, and long-range views from the back, Blue Mist is only about 5 miles from downtown Blowing Rock, approximately 12 miles from Boone and Valle Crucis, and approximately 17 miles from Banner Elk. Tweetsie Railroad and Appalachian Ski Mountain are both about 9 miles away. Hawksnest Snow Tubing and Zip Lines, and Sugar Mountain Ski Resort are both about 14 miles away and Beech Mountain Ski Resort is about 21 miles away. Grandfather Mountain is less than 15 miles away. Level entry, level front yard, and level parking make this an easy-access property year-round, as well as a handicap-friendly house. The garage provides direct parking and lower-level access. The rear decks on both levels stretch the width of the house, and offer both open-air and covered outdoor living and dining space, with a gas grill and outdoor dining table as well as lounging furniture on the upper/main level deck, and additional furniture on the lower deck. Both enjoy long-range mountain views! There is a covered front porch as well. Enter through the front door into a central foyer, and then into the living room, which boasts vaulted ceilings, wood floors, leather furniture, an HDTV, and a stone, gas log fireplace. Open to the living room is the dining area with seating for 6, surrounded by a wall of windows framing mountain views. The kitchen is adjacent to the dining table and is well-equipped with stainless appliances. The primary master suite on the main level features a queen bed, an HDTV, windows which offer long-range views, wood floors, and an ensuite full bathroom with a jetted tub, separate shower, and a laundry closet with a washer and dryer. There is a second queen bedroom on the main level, with HDTV and vaulted ceilings, as well as an adjacent hallway bathroom with tub/shower combination which also services the living, kitchen, and dining areas. The lower level provides direct access from the one-car garage, as well as a half bathroom. There is a large king bedroom suite with an HDTV, mountain views, and a full bathroom with a shower. The den and game room downstairs is on the view side of the house, with an exterior door that opens to the lower rear deck. The den features leather sofas, an HDTV, a foosball table, a Pac-Man game, and a full-sized futon that sleeps 1 or 2 guests. Blue Mist provides WiFi internet, DirecTV satellite programming for all 5 of the HDTVs in the house, central heat throughout the house, and central air conditioning on the main level only. The home is very beautiful with a lot of nice touches and the view is incredible. Plenty of parking for 3 vehicles. We loved that the house had a game room downstairs. We really enjoyed playing foosball in the evenings.

It’s so good when what you see online is what you get in real life. This was the most comfortable I’ve ever been on a mountain trip. This was a little slice of heaven and I can’t wait to go back!

Fantastic views in a beautiful very private log home. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need for meal preparation and serving. The bedrooms are large and the beds are comfortable. Blue Mist provides a wonderful Blue Ridge Mountain get-away.

This is a very spacious and clean property. It is stocked well in the kitchen and has plenty of room. The view off the back deck is amazing. It is close to town if you want to shop or eat at the local restaurants. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend this property.

On our way up we were notified that the fireplace wasn’t working so that was definitely disappointing but we had a wonderful time. Great location definitely need a 4 wheel drive if you go in the winter with snow esp if you park in the lower garage. Yes we had ladybugs and stink bugs and signs of a mouse(never saw one, but saw droppings and it chewed a hole in the bread) I wouldn’t leave food out. Didn’t upset us, the house has woods all around and it’s cold out so wasn’t surprised. Otherwise the house was great, lots of room and had everything needed to cook with. The view was amazing esp in the morning. I would stay here again, hopefully the fireplace will be working next time, they did give us a discount which was nice.

We enjoyed our week at Blue Mist. The home was perfect for our family vacation and birthday celebration. We enjoyed the foosball table In the lower level and the open main level for family time. It was also conveniently located to area attractions.

I love Blue Mist for the rooms and views and amenities. However, it was a bit challenging this year with the building of a house next door: lots of beeping trucks, a well being drilled, smoke from brush being burned and the thumping of trees being cut down. However, it should be better next year when the house is completed. I would not hesitate to come back next year, or recommend Blue Mist to anyone else. i especially like the beds being made when we arrived, and the new appliances: dishwasher and refrigerator. I love the dishes in the cabinet next to the dining table. The rental was very well handled and would use Cabin Rentals again.

Blue Mist
Everything about the Blue Mist cabin is conducive to a wonderful time of rest and relaxation. The views are spectacular. Mornings are filled with birds singing and clouds resting on the mountain tops. Just a short drive away is the adorable town of Blowing Rock with all the quaintness a mountain town should have. This trip we hiked Linville Falls and enjoyed a trip to Laurel Creek where our teenaged daughter jumped off the rocks into the river and our toddler played in the creek. If you want a beautiful time in the mountains, visit The Blue Mist Cabin and enjoy!

Blue Mist is Wonderful!!!!
My wife and I just spent a week at Blue Mist and had a wonderful time. Of course the scenery/views are exceptional, but the cabin was also perfect for our needs. The layout and furnishings of the house are more than adequate and everything was clean and neat when we arrived. The rooms are all comfortable and the kitchen was well supplied - all we had to add was the food! The location provides beautiful views and easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Blowing Rock and nearby sites and activities. The folks at Carolina Cabin Rentals were professional, kind and helpful throughout the process. Truly a 5-Star experience!

Amazing views! WiFi is spotty and comes and goes. We had hundreds of ladybugs hanging out in the house with us, but we didn’t mind the company.

Blue Mist
The Blue Mist was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed for cooking and cleaning.
It didn't bother us but I do need to mention two things. One...there were many lady bugs in and around the upstairs. There were so many we swept them into a pile in the corner of the dining room where it appeared to be the worst.
Second...there is a bad water leak in the garage. Since there was so much rain it appeared the water was coming in along the wall of the garage on the street side. So much water that there was a large puddle in the garage.

I feel like you thought of everything to make our stay super comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed with plenty of specialized utensils. What made me most happy was walking in to a freezer full of fresh ice after a long drive and ready to sit down with a beverage. One minor recommendation. A couple of table or floor lamps in the living room would have bee better than having to rely on the ceiling lights. Thank you for a comfortable and worry free stay at Blue Mist.

Blue Mist stay
We certainly enjoyed our stay. The home was very nice and the view was good. We started out sleeping in the bedroom near the kitchen, but the bed was so uncomfortable we moved into the bedroom on the other side and the bed was much better. Was hoping to be able to sit on the front porch in a rocking chair, but there were no chairs on the front porch. The kitchen was well stocked.

The cabin is very nice
The cabin is very nice but when we arrived it looked like it haven't been clean in a while because their was a lot of ants and spider webs we actually had to sweap and clean because we had kids other than everything was good .

We had an excellent stay.
We had an excellent stay. It was a holiday weekend and a last minute decision and we felt lucky to still have the options we did for a rental. The unit was clean and accommodating for all our needs. We specifically wanted all bedrooms to have a queen or king bed for the adults and most rentals have that one bedroom with bunks and futons just for kids. The kitchen was well equipped.
