Vincent was a great host who was very communicative and there for any questions/needs we had! The house was beautiful and exactly what we wanted. I enjoyed my stay thoroughly :)

The fridge and freezer were dirty and still had old food in it. Lots of personel items left around including an original birth certficate. The towels and bed linens were old and worn out. The ac did not work properly so we bought 4 fans to make it tolerable. There were bug or rodent droppings in some of the cabinets. One of the hand railings going up the front steps was rotten and not secure and broke off when my 80 year mother grabbed it. There was a strong stench of raw sewer outside the home. The lower level toilet didn't flush and the shower drain gurgled when ran. The steps and walkway down to the lake are dangerous due to rotted wood and loose and lack of handrails. Termites in master bath ceiling. No wifi, no iron, 1 tv with 3 channels, 1 small frying pan......... extremely. disappointed

The owner seems nice and is communicative. The property is in a good location and really does have a lot of potential to be a great VRBO spot. However, there was some significant concerns. One being cleanliness. Which is a very big deal all the time, but especially right now given COVID. The towels were not clean, the basement shower had a used razor and hair in it, sink smelled, fridge and oven were not clean either. Along with cleanliness is a gross misrepresentation of the property. The pictures you see are are staged from a real estate listing. the furniture and decorations are different. The linens on the beds are not of the same quality at all they are thin and extremely uncomfortable and low quality, the showers don't have curtains, only a plastic sheet, or in the master's case blinds.... the hot tub is not accessible and the laundry was not accessible. The garage opener was there but the garage is filled with junk, and parking if you have 10 people is almost impossible. We tried to make pizzas in the oven and the oven would only get warm, not hot. For example, a frozen pizza on 500 after over 40 minutes was still dough. I reported this to the owner and he seemed very surprised that it didn't work. However there is another review on this page from a few weeks ago that says the same thing and he commented on it, so I feel like the surprise reaction is a little fabricated. He offered at 7:30 on Saturday night to come fix the oven, which wouldn't be possible, but honestly I don't want to deal with it and we didn't need the oven anymore a that point. He also suggested to cook on self clean which is never a good idea. The oven is old and has done it's time and needs to be replaced, that is obvious. But the offer was appreciated. Overall, if the property was $1,000 less for the weekend I would have maybe been ok with it. That would have been what it was worth for the quality of the beds, linens, some lights not working, cleanliness, and quality of the appliances. But the oven not working, and knowing about it, is unacceptable to me. Some things also to notice that are difficult with the winter pictures - the trek to get to the lake is wooded and a rough walk, would be difficult with children or elderly. The neighbors on the shoreline are extremely close but seemed very nice. However if you are having a large group and want privacy on the water, this is not where you will find it. The house itself with the decks does offer a lot of privacy.

I cancelled this property immediately and the owner apparently did not know how to process it. I did not stay and tried serpveral times to fix this. Finally had to refute the charge on my credit card.
