Nestled 100 yards off beautiful Walloon lake in the heart of the village, where the sunrise and sunsets are some of the most adored in all of Northern Michigan. The cottage allows you to get away from the busy everyday life and enjoy warm summer days and cool nights in the small friendly village of Walloon Lake. The cottage offers public lake and dock access less than a minute walk away where you can enjoy the water and nice Caribbean like sandy beach. A full front porch, large spacious back patio and nicely landscape yard offers many family/friend gathering opportunities. The front and back yards offer plenty of shade as well as a good bit of sunshine. Within 10 minutes of local historic towns Petoskey, Boyne City, Harbor Springs, Bay Harbor and Charlevoix where you can shop, dine and enjoy many summer entertainment opportunities. A local village general store, restaurant and many local summer shops are a short walk away for all your vacation needs. The village of Walloon is a great way to experience all that northern Michigan has to offer.

Stayed with 3 friends celebrating a birthday. We walked to the small downtown, just blocks away, and enjoyed Christmas lights. This house is very clean, the owner nice and caring.

The hosts were responsive with questions and the house was comfortable and well maintained. It was very close to downtown Walloon Lake with only a 5-min walk. The house was very clean and had a lot of extra bath and beach towels available. It also had a huge laundry room, a small dishwasher, and a mini split air conditioner to keep the upstairs bedrooms cool. We appreciated having Wi-Fi as well as Apple TV. We would recommend the house and stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage is very clean and comfortable for 5 people. Host was very responsive. Village is just a 5 minute walk, and Petoskey, Harbor Springs, and Boyne City are just short drives.

We love Walloon Lake and the village. This location is very walk-able to the village and just to go for a walk. The cottage is clean, comfortable and well equipped. We enjoyed this one week get away more than we can say!

Great cottage
The cottage was super clean, and very modern. The owners were right next door if we needed anything from them. The cottage is walking distance to Walloon Lake Beach, downtown, and the park. What a great town. We will definitely be back!

The place is a cute house near Walloon Lake. Very tidy and clean. The lake is very beautiful. Nice restaurants in the area. Very friendly people in this town and we enjoyed the area.

Spent a great ski weekend
with family friends and their teenagers. Less than 20 min drive to Boyne Mountain, super location just a few blocks walk away to Walloon.
Cottage was great, well stocked kitchen, bedding/bath linens and plenty of space for the 6 of us.
Especially liked the spacious laundry area with washer/dryer and plenty of room for snow boots and coats.
We'd definitely stay again.

This property is in a very good location for a ski weekend if you want to hit multiple ski resorts (Boyne Mountain, The Highlands, Nubs). Lots of great restaurant options a reasonable drive from rental. Quiet neighborhood. Cozy, comfortable house.

Great location, Scott let us check in early which was very accommodating to us!
Would love to see a bigger coffee maker and maybe some essential items already at the property (body wash, coffee, etc). Also check out was relatively earlier than normal (10am) and guests are expected to strip sheets, wash all dishes then put them away, etc. even with a large cleaning fee. We spent most of our morning washing the dishes and cleaning instead of relaxing.
Overall it was a great location and cozy stay!

cute cottage
we had a great family wedding weekend, we were very busy, and in and out most days with wedding commitments.
the cottage was a great location for us, however, not having any lake access, (we were asked to leave the grassy area down west street where we were sitting on towels enjoying a little sun and lake view) was kind of a bummer.
the house was very well stocked with linens (sheets, towels, extra quilts,bath mats etc.), however, the kitchen could have used a few things, (a few decent frying pans).
overall, we enjoyed our stay, and the owners were wonderful, and easy to get in touch with. i would recommend this property.

Great cottage near the lake/town
Our family enjoyed our time here close to Walloon Lake. Clean house and easy walk to town, boats & public beach. The property is nicely maintained and great communication with owner. It was a nice summer retreat for our family.

Very comfortable cottage on Walloon Lake
This very nicely-appointed cottage was extremely comfortable and served as a great home base for our stay in northern Michigan. It was very clean and the location made it easy to walk to the public beach and little downtown area. The hosts had already thought of everything that you might need for a relaxing time.

Very close to boat rental and beach. Had a great vacation. Short drive to Petosky. Enjoyed the restaurants, ice cream shop, antique store. Property manager is awesome !
