Host very very rude

The initial booking was fine, the emails leading up to the day of check in was fine. Cost was fine, location great. Conversation 2 days prior to check in i enquired about the size of the carpark as we had a 4x4, he said no definately wont fit to which I said ok we will bring the hatchback (as we arent comfortable parking our vehicles on the street at that location)

Day of arrival. We attempted to lift the door to the carpark garage and it was jammed closed to not open further than 1/4 up. So I called the host to ask were we doing something wrong to get the door open? He said oh no you cant park in there as we are about to renovate and we have all the building supplies in the garage so you will have to park on the street....(the street parking out the front is 2 hour parking only, and you have to park around the corner where you cannot see the vehicle). to which I said um the whole reason we booked the property was for the secure parking... he rudely replied with well im not taking all the building supplies out just so you can park in there so do you want to stay or not.... I was shocked to get this response and asked why this wasbt disclosed when I emailed the 2 days prior to arrival, to which he said I didn't know you were worried about the parking so if you arent staying ill refund you and you can leave. So we did. I was appalled how he spoke to me and I do not appreciate having find an alternative accommodation when we had gone to the area to celebrate my daughters 15th Birthday by letting her walk down to the beach and do a spot of shopping at the near by centre. I would never recommend this host to anyone due to how he spoke to me when this all could hace been avoided had he just told the truth 2 days prior about the carpark garage not being accessible.

Location was great with good views . Beds comfortable

Not enough towels in the property, bath mat old and torn at edges. Kitchen and bathroom need refurbishing. If the gas fire doesn’t work take it out.
