About this resort
Nestled in Pennsylvania, this charming resort for $1,500 per night is a great choice for your next break. This charming property with a main house plus individual attached units & suites, is close to Historic downtown Honesdale with farmers markets, cafes, shoppes, scenic train rides, and a quaint central park. Our historic farm house is nestled on a beautifully landscaped 5.5 acres. The Property The 5.5 acre property has enough space for the family, and a great space for kids. A stocked pond for fishing, as well as peddle boats and life vests are available for use. A trampoline, playground and a gazebo with a grill, are all available amenities for your family to enjoy! The Indoors Our full property rental includes the main house which has 5 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a huge eat in kitchen, dining room, living room (stocked with games for the family), sunroom and toy room. Included in the rental are three additional one bedroom units (with a bathroom in each room), and 1 two bedroom suite structurally attached to the main house, and 2 two bedroom suites & a 4 bedroom cottage across with a pool table (across the yard). In total, this rental has 18 bedrooms, 12.5 bathrooms. We no longer have ANY long term tenants.

We had 3 generations and 30+ people there for a week. It had everything we needed. Kids had plenty of space to play outside. There was enough folding tables and chairs for meal times. Kitchen was well equipped. The main house is older, but we’ll kept and comfortable. Owner was very responsive and helpful with any of our needs. Thanks for letting us stay!

We absolutely loved our stay here. Tons of beds for everyone and lots of space. The biggest plus was the industrial kitchen appliances so it was easy to cook huge meals for 40 people. Clean property lots of nice amenities. Overall would highly recommend and would stay again!

We had our family of 25 stay for a long weekend and we could not have found a better property. I asked for an early check in and Chanie graciously said yes. We arrived to find the house stocked with toiletries in every bathroom. Toys inside and out for the kids. The paddle boats kept the kids entertained for hours. The guys loved fishing, caught a few fish too!! The property is huge and we explored every inch of it. We had so much fun playing kick ball and every other yard game you can imagine. The main house had a huge room to set up tables for game night. The fire pit was an awesome place for us all to gather at night. The set up of the house is perfect for multi family use. There were no tenants on the property as some people had mentioned in their reviews. We have no complaints about this property or the hosts. Chanie was responsive and polite with any questions we had. We don’t think the description of this property does it justice. We are hoping to be able to return!

Although my family made the best of it, this property is not currently suitable for rental and was not as advertised. There were other tenants on the property, which was not disclosed until after we arrived; one was being evicted and was visited by a constable during our stay. The property is deteriorated and in disrepair. The following deficiencies were found upon our arrival and reported to the owner but were not repaired. These include: non-functional air conditioner in kitchen; all other air conditioners were noisy and inadequate to keep the property temperate; freezers were not always operable; the outdoor grill did not heat, even after propane container replacement (the existing propane tanks had either stripped threads or had a non-functional valve); the middle burner on the grill did not light; non-functional/improper placement of smoke alarms; some smoke alarms had missing batteries; mold and standing water in basement; electrical system in basement likely does not meet code (one circuit breaker was tripped but owner stated this was to be kept off; we did not touch any breakers or wiring); three chairs were dangerous with one almost resulting in injury (we left notes on these chairs to warn others not to use them); many window screens either missing or broken; shower in unit 3 did not work; beds in unit 4 were rock-hard; cooking area in cottage could not be used due to improper smoke alarm placement; dining area in the cottage was completely taken up with a pool table, inhibiting egress; outdoor chairs near firepit were filthy; although owner stated firewood was available, we had to buy our own because there was in fact no firewood; shower door inoperable; the cottage did not have a deadbolt or other secondary lock; in the cottage there was an open key storage box with access to all the keys for the property, including at least one master key all of which could have been copied by previous tenants/renters; there were inappropriate security cameras in the interior of the cottage, including in at least one bedroom; there was a spider infestation in the cottage; the cottage had very uneven flooring; and other deficiencies. I am requesting at least a partial refund. In short, this property should not be rented to others until repairs have been completed. Please advise on what if any next steps are available for a partial refund.

The set up of willow pond was fantastic for large groups and all ages (we had 5 months to 65). People could be spread out or close together. There were toys and activities for all ages outdoors (it would have been more challenging if stuck inside). The playground, trampoline and paddle boats were highlights for my family. We appreciated lifevests being provided and even some other outdoor and indoor toys for the little kids. One of the best parts of this property is the fact that you can sit outside and see kids from the trampoline to the pond and everything in between! Total supervision is permitted.
Be prepared for a glamping experience. There are some bugs, cobwebs and the water pressure reminded us of cabin stays. But overall the large kitchen, ample seating, and plethora of outdoor activity made our stay memorable and fun for all!
Chanie was very responsive and always available to talk to. She even provided supplies that hadn’t been needed before us so we could maximize our experience!
The only concern we ran into was the one on site tenant. We were not told about her explosive vulgar interactions with guests, until the day we arrived. They were explosive and vulgar. We did need to enlist the help of local authorities at one point. If you are going to have small children who are going to play on the playground I would encourage you to find out if the tenant by the name of Tina has fully been evicted. If not it is highly advisable that the kids are not allowed to play without a strong adult presence. Or that you wait to stay here until she is gone. We understand that some things happen beyond a landlords control such as the length of time of an eviction, however our children did run inside scared and our adults did have a couple very unpleasant interactions during our stay.
Regardless, if Tina is gone, we would absolutely go again!!

Amazing experience
Because of the pandemic we were in need of a much awaited gathering and this property was ideal for our family. With several separate suites, the younger grands & parents could enjoy undisturbed naps and the teens could be together and play games including pool. All while the elders enjoyed the other amenities. Also pond was clean with fresh water plenty of fish and boating.
3 paddle boats were in good shape and a 4th needing some repair. First class commercial kitchen plenty of utensils dishes and pots pans.
A/C units getting old but all worked fine.
Supplies of towels, soaps and TP were plentiful.
Can’t say enough good about this place and the staff/owners. Fantastic time. We will def come back.

Perfect!
Our entire family gathered for Mom's 80th. Including 12 great grandchildren. This was just the right place. The children loved fishing in the pond. We enjoyed fireworks over the pond in the evening. Had a campfire, enjoyed dinner in the gazebo. It is a nice place with only a few areas that need a little TLC, but you can tell the owners care enough to keep it up. Great place for children and adults.

A beautiful two-building property with a lovely pond (with paddleboats and a cute island) near a small vacation town. The rooms had enough space and plenty of bathrooms, and the AC held up all weekend. Would definitely go here again.

We had a group of 15 and had plenty of space! Could have easily fit another 15 comfortably! Great location close to town and yard was very big for outdoor activities. Highly recommend!

Family getaway
There was plenty of room for our family of 27. There is a big kitchen which allowed for hanging out and a group cooking experience. Also, lots of outdoor space when weather permits.

Other’s on property
We found out about the tenant living on the property after we booked. I was disappointed the pool table had to be moved and the other gas fire place did not work. We also had trouble figuring out where all the light switches were. A lot of the window shades were broken or missing. The house can use some work.

Men’s Retreat
We searched for over a year to find a place that would accommodate 25-30 guys for our church’s fall men’s retreat. Then my mom came across this property. We reached out to Chanie and she was able to answer all our questions. When we arrived, everything was as it was listed on the website. Beds were quite comfortable and showers were hot. We plan on making this our yearly spot!

Great for gathering for large group
The house is great and it had a lot of rooms where can accommodate large party with privacy. We love the kitchen where you can prepare food for your group without any issue. If somehow eliminated mosquito in the property will be great.

We had such an AMAZING time!! There was something to do for everyone! It was very 'chill' and fun and relaxing!! Everyone had an incredible time. Plenty of room for everyone to gather together or have quiet time. We all loved it!
