Nice Water View

I booked the cheap room with fan and shared bathroom. But I was upgraded to a room with AC and private bathroom. You can get filtered water from the kitchen. Nice balcony with water view, quiet area but close to town. Nice hammock area on their dock. The host was very helpful in figuring out my transportation to/from there from Placencia Belize and for my trip to a hostel close to Rio Dulce.

The listing said it was a smokefree property but that apparently only applies to the rooms. I was annoyed by a neighbor smoking on the balcony with the wind blowing the smoke into my balcony and room.

Goed hotel met vriendelijk personeel

Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en helpt graag met bijvoorbeeld het regelen van een tour of shuttle.

Het hotel is erg simpel en enigszins verouderd. Desondanks is het een prima hotel voor wat je ervoor betaald versus krijgt.

Gutes Hotel mit nettem Besitzer!

Sehr netter und hilfsbereiter Besitzer, gutes Essen, teils sehr freundliche Mitarbeitende, nette Terrasse beim Zimmer.

Wenige Orte zum Chillen, teils nicht so freundliches Personal.

Séjour décevant.

Établissement situé à 45 minutes en bateau de la plage la plus proche pour se baigner. Le personnel ne semble pas très motivé, à l'exception d'un jeune serveur attentionné et disponible. Environnement un peu négligé. Séjour décevant.

Une chouette adresse dans Livingston

L'emplacement et la gentillesse du personnel. La terrasse de la chambre.

La faible isolation phonique et une nuit avec des voisins sans gêne nuit à la qualité du sommeil !

Nous recommandons fortement.

Tout était comme nous l'espérions. Belle chambre donnant sur la mer, bons petits déjeuners et excellent diners. Accueil vraiment chaleureux de Stewart, piscine disponible à moins de 2000 mètres du lodge.

La piña colada manquante deux soirs de suite ; ) mais agréablement remplacée par une marguerita.

Man kann schön am Wasser oder im Garten sitzen. Das Frühstück ist auch sehr preiswert.

Die Zimmer sind schön, allerdings gibt es nur einen Ventilator. In unserem Fall wurde es sehr warm in der Nacht. Aber es geht schon.

peaceful and nice stay at the edge of the Rio Dulce

The food from the restaurant, the garden and the dock to view the sunrise and sunset. Beds and pillows were super comfy and the room was spacious with a balcony

the shared bathroom (but i guess the whole "island" works with the same model) but it was super clean

Perfect stay, didn’t want to leave!

I loved my time here. Stuart the owner was so nice and helpful, he even gave me an upgraded room as they were quiet for the evening. I ate at the restaurant and the food was really delicious, I will definitely stay again if I’m ever back!!

casa nostra is beautifully located in Livingston!the room was clean and right in front of the river. casa nostra has also a great restaurant

5% recharge for credit card payment was not applied by any of the other hotel I was in Guatemala! the room was clean but considering it is flagged as a boutique hotel I would watch out the overall cleanliness more…also trying to avoid smelling the kitchen and the dog odor anytime!

Pleasant

Big room and terrace with look to the garden, but we could not se the ocean - trees in front. God restaurants close by.

We were offered an upgrade to ensuite bathroom. But overall it is to expensive for what you get. Gave the restaurant a chance the first night, but the first order could not be handled do to shortage of the needed ingredients - beef! We tried the chicken curry, but upon arrival it was cold. We went elsewhere after that, and experienced no problems and lower prices.

Superb

What a fantastic view when you open your window or stand on the hotel deck. I had my most beautiful sunrise standing by the river, with birds flying everywhere, just by the deck arranged by the hotel. Everyone is kind and welcoming at this place. The food is very good and the garden very pleasant for a romantic dinner. The room is spacious and had a lovely balcony. It is closed to the town center.

The room could be better furnished (it lacks 1 or 2 chairs, a deck to put your computer or write, hangers for clothes... there only beds and nothing else): it's a pity given the size of the room. And the decoration could be warmer to make it more homely: the rest of the hotel is.

Great staff and excellent food! I would stay here again.

Room was nice the first night. Due to split reservation I didn’t know second night was a shared bathroom with two other rooms but we made due. Overall staff was excellent and beautiful view.

The shared bathroom was a bit inconvenient, especially since I did not notice when making the reservation.

A Trainquil, clean, and friendly place to stay.

Loved the beautiful location. Stuart and Abby were both amazing with advice about activities and logistics. So awesome. I also thought the staff at the restaurant, especially Jose Luis and Fernando who are connected to AK Tenemet, were terrific. Great food too!

I would have liked to stay longer

Arriving by boat from Rio Dulce the boat dropped me off right at their pier and departing for Punta Gorda the boat picked me up at their pier. Nice and handy to town. But what made the stay exceptional was the owner Stuart, an American that has been there for decades and knows the area extremely well. Myself only speaking English, Stuart's help with immigration & booking the boat to take me to Belize was above and beyond any place I've stayed around the world.

Staff were lovely, nice view of the river, comfortable bed, clean room

Quite expensive in comparison to other places around Rio Dulce for a room with a shared bathroom. The garden area could have been a little tidier. Our door to our communal balcony didn't lock so had to use some wood. Shower didn't get hot.

Best option for a stay in Livingston!

Great location a few minutes down the road from the pier. Owner and staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was excellent (we had breakfast and dinner). Shared bathroom was kept very clean. Lovely jetty/deck area to sunbathe or relax on hammocks.
