House was nice inside, very comfortable and great for relaxing

Location to beach and cliff walk, comfortable beds, nice high pressure shower, view, well equipped kitchen.

Some light bulbs need replacing, cleaning under the second bedroom bed. For little kids a front gate at top of stairs? None of these are a big deal, just a note really.

For my sister, the shower over the bath was a small obstacle. she has some mobility issues. not a deal breaker cos we loved our start so much

lovely bach but mismanaged and not cleaned to acceptable standard

lovely location and plenty of space

no where to unpack suitcases, all drawers filled with linen mice in kitchen shower just adequate too many rules, need to buy gas for bbq and own refuse bags, didn’t feel hospitable

We had a great few days at Toad Hall. Lovely place to stay and either enjoy the beach or explore the Kauri region.

Real Kiwi bach in quiet cul-de-sac a stone’s throw from the beach

A real Kiwi bach with charm, a beautiful outlook and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Lovely to fall to sleep with the waves crashing on the beach below. Great beds, quality linen and beach or tree views from every room. Couldn’t have wished for a better location - a quiet cul-de-sac with a short walk down to a glorious wide sandy beach. Could have stayed a week or a lifetime!

Traveling with 4 people is great. but with this property the shower and toilet is in one area what is not that convenient

Just what the doctor ordered !

It was a cute tidy bach, perfect location right next to the beach. We spent 3 days in Dargaville for business and so coming 'home' to the bach after a long hard day was just what the doctor ordered. With just basic TV and no internet connection it meant we had to revert to old fashioned conversation, crosswords and board games, a thing lost in todays world of technology - so it was awesome.

Could not contact the person who was in charge of problems with the property. Ie dead mouse on mat, sink dropped out of

Clean beds and location

Dead mouse ,broken sink. TOILET with only one sliding door that doesn’t seal when closed right next to the kitchen. Old newspaper lining the cupboards and draws. And mould on cooking gear etc.

The location was great. Cosy, homely feeling to the house.

We were instructed to go and buy our own prepaid rubbish bag to leave at the front of the property, from the local shop which only opened at 10am (same time as check out). I think it would be alot more convenient if the owner adds the $3.25 (cost of the bag) to the total rate and provides a bag in the house for the guests. Not having to think about prepaid bin bags or bin tags is part of being in the holiday mood!

Peaceful retreat fit for the whole family, relaxing and fun on the beach!

The house is so comfortable, so quiet and peaceful, and a two minute walk to the beach! At the beach was a walking trail, incredible rocky cliffs, an incredible experience! We really loved it here, thank you so much! And the only place we’ve stayed with ice in the freezer! It’s the little things that make such a difference. :) Thank you.

Quaint Kiwi (circa) 1950s bach with electric blankets and heating.

No WiFi which we knew in advance but also no TV which was supposed to work.

Exceptional

A typical but all too rare Kiwi Bach. Basic but comfortable like a pair of old slippers. Great location for exploring the back roads with the drive out Pouto a highlight. Return via the Coast road a bonus. We'll be back.
