There is off street parking for several cars including a carport in the rear of the cottage. It is within walking distance to the Playhouse, Jigger Shop, basketball and tennis courts, playground and Rails to Trails walking paths. Go for a swim and relax on the beach or grass area at beautiful Lake Conewago. There is a weekly publication of daily activities in Mt. Gretna , obtainable at walkable stops during your stay. The Eliza Mae Cottage has 4 air conditioned bedrooms and 2 whole house fans. The fully equipped kitchen has a microwave, dishwasher and a breakfast bar. There is a washer and dryer and a clothes line in the back. Along with the kitchen, there is a living room, dining room, sunroom and half bath which complete the first floor. Relax with family and friends on the amazing front porch which has comfortable outside seating with rocking chairs and a dining table. On the second floor the bedrooms have ample closet space and comfortable mattresses. A king size, queen size, double size and 3 twins make up the 4 bedrooms. Pets are prohibited and smoking is restricted to only the back porch and rear of the cottage. Linens and towels are provided as are all paper products. There is charcoal grill in the back as well as a lovely cottage garden with a bench. The Eliza Mae has modern amenities preserving cottage charm.

Our family stayed but we were visited by extended family between 7 and 77 for Thanksgiving. We had a wonderful time. There was plenty of room and we all enjoyed the antiques and holiday decor. This is a sweet, homey location and there is attention paid to the needs of little ones. It also has a wonderfully equipped kitchen that was great for hosting. The kitchen is compact, but has everything from pie plates to platters to a dishwasher and washer and dryer as well as pantry basics. Our family cooks most meals together so the set up was just what we needed. We have stayed in vrbos from Louisiana to New York and this is one of our favorites. Many thanks to Marianne who checked on us regularly even though I always have a little trouble with Vrbo messaging. Many thanks for a great stay!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The town was like nothing I’ve ever seen only maybe in a movie or a storybook. I can’t describe in words how beautiful it was. You have to see in in person to believe it. The cottage was so beautiful and quaint. The porch was so relaxing. There was a koi pond and a magical fairy garden in front. The house had everything you could possibly need. I packed things I thought I would need to find everything there already! And the owner was so sweet! I would definitely stay here again in the future and recommend it to all my friends. You won’t be disappointed! Thank you for a wonderful time! We loved it!

We are a group of 4 friends celebrating our upcoming birthdays by enjoying an annual trip to Mt Gretna. Due to a mix up with our previous reservation, we ended up booking the Eliza Mae approximately 4 weeks before our arrival. Everything from the reservation process to the checkout was seamless. Marianne was very prompt with all communication. Every question was answered almost immediately. The home was exactly as the listing described. Charming.. extremely clean. The porch was the best part of the home. We spent so much time there relaxing and enjoying our few days away from the busyness of our daily lives. This home was the best stocked rental of any of our previous rentals. The kitchen was extremely well equipped. The owner has taken great care to provide everything we could have possibly needed. We would definitely consider staying at the Eliza Mae again.

The Eliza Mae was the perfect place for a family to stay. It’s location was convenient to Hershey about 20 minutes. My husband and daughter went to a concert and we went to the park during our stay. Mt Gretna was such a wonderful lake community. We walked pretty much everywhere we wanted to go. The lake beach was so much fun. Marianne was an amazing host and her home did not disappoint. We all enjoyed the fabulous porch and her home had everything that we needed! My kids loved the pond and the fairy garden and all the attention from people passing by.

We love this lovely cottage at Mt Gretna! The porch is fantastic , we spend the majority of our time there talking, laughing , reading and reminiscing . It is surrounded with beautiful plants and a pretty little fish pond. There is even a fairy garden. The area where it is located is lovely, we had many enjoyable walks on the unique streets lined with beautiful older homes.
The kitchen is well stocked and we had fun cooking together. The Jigger ice cream shop is a short walking distance away. I would recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing get away.

This weekend I hosted a party for my mother's 100th birthday and I needed a special place for 8 out-of-towners to stay - this cottage was perfect! Cute little cottage in Mt.Gretna. We used it as our home base for a trip to Hershey Park and we wished we had planned more time in the Mt. Gretna area. Owner was great and provided all the comforts needed for a stress free stay. The cottage fit three adults and four kids comfortably. It has beautiful gardens and the porch was perfect to relax on.

My summers as a child were spent in Mt. Gretna and I wanted to share the "Gretna experience" with my grandchildren. The cottage was perfect for our family, from the comfortable beds to the extremely well stocked kitchen. Loved the 4th of July bicycle parade, the children's summer theater performance and of course our visits to the Jigger Shop.The fish pond off the porch was another plus, the kids loved feeding the fish everyday. Our youngest grandchild ended the week by asking me to "promise we can come back to this house next year!"

This was our family's 3rd year staying at the charming Eliza Mae Cottage. Marianne and her husband do an outstanding job of making sure everything is clean, working, and in pristine condition. We love the location and the beautiful flower gardens in the front and back of the cottage. The porch could not be more fabulous as the attention to detail is amazing! This property exceeded our expectations. We have already begun planning our next annual trip, we made so many lasting memories in this quaint cottage. We loved that we could walk nearly anywhere for a quick bite or entertainment - my advice would be to find your way through the neighborhood, instead of attempting to walk main roads as there are no sidewalks. The cottage and Marianne were both so welcoming and we're excited to visit again.

Nice little size cottage for our family of five. It was nice to have a bedroom for each teenager. Everyone was spread out. The location was great for where we needed to be. It was a short drive no matter where we wanted to go. The host was wonderful and had everything that we needed for our stay.

This cottage was perfect for a long weekend with my family to celebrate my father's birthday. It had everything we needed and more! The cottage has the charm of older houses, but without downsides (plenty of electrical outlets, etc). We especially appreciated the extremely well-equipped kitchen, which is rare in my experience with vacation rentals. It was worth every penny!

We had a wonderful time with the family.
There is a small little village to walk around as well as nature trails within walking distance.
We were able to cook a turkey dinner without any problems.
There was plenty of glassware for the holiday festivities.
The kids hung out on the porch which was enclosed for the cooler weather.
We were close enough to Hershey to see the Holiday lights and go to the park as well.

My sisters and I have been there twice and it’s becoming our yearly vacation spot. The cottage is cozy and Marianne makes sure your stay is perfect. There are cute towns with shopping near by. If you stay, you have to take time to sit on the front porch.

We enjoyed our stay at the Eliza Mae, especially the lovely front porch. The house is cute and well equipped, especially with extra kitchen staples.
We did not know there were parking passes and it was trying to back out our suv’s from the narrow back yard. The next day we were parked out front.
Also, the staircase to the bedrooms is very narrow and steep, not for anyone too young or older with stability issues.

We enjoyed staying here with our kids and their grandparents while we visited Hershey Park. The house is older and has lots of charm. Was clean and well maintained. Kitchen well stocked and the owner was very communicative. Would definitely stay again!

We loved our stay in Mt. Gretna, this cottage was perfect for our needs and absolutely spotless. Marianne was a wonderful host who made sure we were comfortable. There are a lot of things to do in Mt Gretna itself and it is also convenient to the PA Ren Faire, Lititz, and Lancaster. The one feedback/warning I have is that even though we were driving an SUV, that sits pretty high off the ground, we still scraped the bottom of our vehicle a little bit every time we pulled in or out of the driveway, no matter how slow and careful we were. So I can only imagine how it might affect a car lower to the ground. Aside from that, everything was great, the kitchen had plenty of dishes and pots for when we ate in, although there is only one full bathroom it is very large and roomy, the bedrooms were quaint and comfortable. I can honestly say this was probably the nicest VRBO we have ever stayed in. Thank you so much Marianne!

We spent great time in the mornings and early evenings gathering on the cozy front porch while spending days at the little shops, getting ice cream or traveling the bike trails through the woods, which were only minutes from the house, walks through the neighborhood admiring the surroundings and plenty of space for yard games out back…even easily accessible to Hershey Stadium for a concert…it was a great get away and we cannot wait to go back!

We loved everything about our stay at the Eliza Mae Cottage in the heart of Mt Gretna!! We rode bikes, swam at the lake everyday, visited Lititz, Went on the Mt.Gretna house tour and even saw a wonderful play at Mt Gretna Theatre! The Porch and Pantry restaurant was lovely and also a very short walk away! Everything was super clean and check in and communication with the owner was flawless! The house is well stocked with condiments and a basket full of toiletries just in case you forgot anything! The property is beautiful as well! We loved the fish pond and fairy garden in the front! The front porch of the Eliza Mae was our family haven...we read books, told stories, talked, relaxed, napped and played Uno every night! There was a seat for everyone! If I could give more than 5 stars I would!!!!

We have been friends for more than 50 years. This was a great cottage to gather together again. We loved the porch and all the homey touches done by Marianne. The kitchen is very well stocked and the beds were very comfy. Love the location, close to the playhouse and Jigger shop .

The cottage is located in a quaint little town with lots of historic value. You're surrounded by tall hardwood trees everywhere. It's like camping in the woods, but in an old house. I wish I stayed longer to explore the area--our focus on this trip was at Hershey. This cottage and Mt Gretna provided a nice respite away from the crowds at Hershey. Marianne was a wonderful host and went out of her way to make sure our stay was perfect. The house was completely stocked in terms of kitchen and bathroom items. You can literally just come here, get some groceries, and have everything you need. We hope to come back again in the future.

Great cottage in the middle of Mt Gretna. Nice walks to some of the local eateries. The porch was wonderful to sit and relax on. reading, saying hi to neighbors strolling in the neighborhood. bed was very comfortable. Shower strong with plenty of hot water. Very happy with our stay

Mount Gretna Vacation Gem
My family stayed at the Eliza Mae Cottage during my two oldest boys Lacrosse Tournament in Hershey. This worked not only great for the tournament but we made a small vacation and stayed 3 additional days after the tournament. Being within walking distance to everything made this Cottage a 5 star in my opinion. The owner was super helpful in communicating for both check-in and check-out. The Cottage was perfect for my wife and three boys. I will stay here again next year for sure!

Perfect porch
We had a very restful and relaxing 6 days at the Eliza May. The cottage was very well equipped and the air conditioners kept us comfortable inside. The porch is one of the best features of this cottage; we talked to many people who passed by, read some books, and took a few naps. Thanks for sharing this lovely spot with us!

Mt. Gretna Lovliness
Eliza Mae is a perfect home to enjoy some family time. We especially enjoyed the porch and the rear garden of lovely plants and chair sitting with table that served as a kid craft area, with my trusty plastic tablecloth for protection, of course. There were also games in the sunroom for them to enjoy. This home is within walking distance to playgrounds, the nice fairy garden near Mt. Gretna Hideaway, the Jigger Ice Cream eatery and Porch and Pantry. The added bonus of a fish pond and private fairy garden in front of the cozy porch was appreciated. off street parking is a luxury with this home.The owner was quite responsive to any questions as well. I would not hesitate to rent again.
