We have rented at Mount Gretna many times and this property is the best that we have stayed at. The location was perfect, close to everything yet secluded. The kitchen was equipped with all of the necessities and more. The rooms were large and the furniture was comfortable. We plan to come back in the summer when the shops, restaurants and lake are open and we can enjoy the outdoor living spaces.

We all loved staying at this cottage so much as it brought back so many happy memories, comfort and healing since we were in town for a family funeral. Our family has had cottages and been going to Gretna since the mid 1930’s! Some of our cousins still have a cottage or live there permanently now. We laid to rest our matriarch Mrs Trudy Weaver, 100 yrs old, in Hershey and we all felt at home here between the large porch and enough space for all 6 of us to sleep comfortably and enjoy our time celebrating her wonderful life!

The house was very comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. The perfect place for a get-away weekend with friends.

This historic cottage has been beautifully updated. The kitchen is well stocked and has adequate working space to prepare meals.
All of the rooms have beautiful decor, that is also family friendly if you are traveling with children. There are three bedrooms upstairs and the beds were very comfortable. The downstairs sleeping area is off the living room.
Our favorite part of the cottage was the screened-in porch. The furniture is comfortable with plenty of seating.
We found the property management staff to be very easy to deal with. The neighborhood was walkable. We enjoyed exploring the historic Mount Gretna campmeeting area.
You do need to be able to do stairs to get up into the entrance, but there is a very good handrail. We recommend this property!

We were only at the house for a few days but enjoyed being in the area. We spent a day at the lake which was great. There’s a shallow side roped off for younger kids and then lots of diving platforms for older kids. We came mainly to go to Hershey Park but only ended up doing that one day due to projected weather. I’m glad we got a day to try the lake instead. Hershey is about 30 minutes away so not a bad drive. There are lots of other family things to do in the area, we just weren’t there long enough to do any. We enjoyed spending time together on the big enclosed porch at the house as well.

We love Mt Gretna! Unfortunately, the friends that were supposed to join us we’re not able to. Which was actually good because we only had two parking spots and the driveway is a little steep, the master bedroom and bathroom were gorgeous. We had a great view of the lake and easy walking to the jigger shop.
I will say it’s probably us more than the door, but we did have trouble opening it with the code

Enjoyed our visit, the house is nice, really needs cleaning, porch was covered in pollen, Some pet oder on carpeting in one bedroom which was embarring for me as a host, with family visiting. The steps and driveway are a bit tough as well. Especially if you have any knee issues. Looking at the pictures online the house looks like it is. The master bedroom, bathroom and deck was fabulous. All in all we really enjoyed the week. The kitchen was great ! My husband & I enjoyed

Our stay was right at the end of the off season so it was very quiet & there was hardly anyone in the neighborhood. We came for our daughter's graduation from a local college and did alot of walking thru town & in the Lebanon Valley Rail Trail.
The house was comfortable & updated nicely for a nearly 100 year old home.
Only downside would be the driveway and the steps up to the house are steep (the house is in the side of a hill afterall) and the steps ìn the house to the second floor are steep also so if you have bad knees beware.
Host was responsive on a couple of communications we had, all for minor questions.
Would gladly stay here again.

We loved staying at at this home- nice and clean and nicely located. Kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. I would have liked to have them provide
Linens and towels but that was a minor inconvenience. Loved the porch and sweet town!

The cottage is beautiful. Decorated with original camp style finishes but had all current amenities. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook holiday family dinner. Beds were comfortable. Large master en suite with a deck overlooking the lake. A special treat was the house was decorated for the season.

My family really enjoyed our stay! We travelled from North Carolina to be near family for the holidays. The house was cozy. There was a lot of counter space in the kitchen which came in handy when we made Christmas cookies and cooked meals. There were plenty of blankets and pillows for the beds. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. I loved the enclosed front porch. I wish it had been a bit warmer outside to enjoy it more during our stay. The house is conveniently located with views of the lake and nearby trails great for walking the dogs. The neighborhood is quiet and just what we were looking for to celebrate Christmas and my son’s birthday! The only recommendation is to have a snow shovel handy for folks staying during the winter months as we could not find one in the house. We did not call the office because my daughter had one in her trunk that we used so we were good for this trip! The only reason I gave cleanliness 4 stars is because it didn’t look like the floor under the couches were vacuumed as there were dust bunnies and debris underneath them. (The only reason I noticed was because the dog toys would roll underneath the furniture.) We loved the house, its location and I would definitely recommend this place to others. Thank you for letting us stay!

Very relaxing and spacious property with great views. Kitchen had modern appliances, bathrooms were very clean. Master bath was enormous. Carpeting could be replaced, but it being pet friendly I completely understand. Would stay here again.

A group of mature college friends enjoyed this space. Chatting on the porch, dining table or living room. A great place to enjoy each other’s company.

This property was larger than I was expecting! The layout was very nice. I really enjoyed the large screened in porch. I traveled with my dogs & my best friend and her husband. The area was quiet and just what we needed after spending the day at the Ren faire. I loved being surrounded by the trees! It was about a 8-9min drive from the faire. There were pots & pans to use for cooking. There were air conditioners in each bedroom.

Our family of 6, all adults ages 23+, and our dog, Butterball, enjoyed our stay tremendously! The location was perfect and we enjoyed many walks around the campmeeting and exploring the area to look at all the cottages. We saw a terrific show, Around the World in 80 Days, at the playhouse, indulged in some of the ice cream specials at The Jigger Shop, and we were perfectly situated to do day trips to Hershey Park, Troegs Brewery and the Turkey Hill Experience. We also explored some of the nearby towns like Manheim and Lititz. Overall, enjoyed by all and we have even talked about going back again!

Sunsets on Sun Deck
My husband and I stayed here for two weeks with our two dogs. The house is in a fantastic location--near everything and the lake is visible from the sun deck. By far and away the sun deck was our favorite spot (the dogs refused to leave the deck!!!). My husband enjoyed working remotely from the little office off the porch. The neighbors are all lovely. We mostly cooked our meals here--the kitchen has everything we needed. The grill was a little wonky (it heated up unevenly). All in all we had a great time. We did notice the musty smell and dampness in the basement. I could see this being tricky for someone with allergies. I imagine this would be less of an issue during summer season (we visited in May and house may not have had a chance to fully air out).
