Let just say from the minute we booked Steve the owner was amazing!! So friendly and accommodating and stayed in touch the entire time we were there. We love his cabin! Plenty of space for my kids, husband, my dogs and myself. We enjoyed the jucuzzi a few times during our stay. So relaxing! The whole set up of the cabin is
just so much fun and you can tell Steve pays attention to details. We had robes for our leisure which was amazing after the jucuzzi. Games for the kids, tvs everywhere, massage chair so nice! I could go on and on. My point is book it! You won’t be disappointed ☺️thank you Steve for everything

Wonderful authentic cabin with original features in better area of Lake Arrowhead. Cabin was advertised as a place to use so you could "jump in the lake" but unfortunately we weren't able to access the beaches or even the marina entrance. It is reasonable to think that would be included without specifically notifying the owner. There were many opportunities to confirm our wishes before we arrived. If there isn't a response to a message it isn't really communication. A disappointing trip since getting into the lake was our prime objective. We have stayed in other cabins at the lake and this has never been an issue. It might better serve the owner to hire a management company.

We enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfy, kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need. The hot tub was nice to relax in. The owner was communicative and quick to reply when anything came up. My kids loved the game/toy closet. That is always a nice bonus in a vacation rental. Also, I loved that coffee maker, made a great cup of coffee!

My family has stayed in plenty of wonderful homes along and nearby Lake Arrowhead. Unfortunately, this rental is not one of them. Upon arrival, there was a strong and foul smell in the house that we assumed was natural gas. The odor was so pungent, my kids, ages 9 and 8 were unable to stay in the house. I proceeded to check out the rest of the home, and found a disgusting scene in the kitchen. The sink was backed up at least 6" high with horrendously smelling brown liquid, and a plunger was sitting in the water. I contacted the owner immediately, and his response was: "There is no gas leak" without contacting anyone to investigate the issue. The house was not suitable to be rented, and not safe for my children to spend the night. The owner was dismissive and rude when I asked for a refund. There are plenty of other great homes, so I highly recommend not selecting this property.

We had a great stay in Steves lovely mountain cabin. Perfect escape for our family of 4 and our pug. The location was fantastic and the expansive backyard for perfect for mild sledding before driving to larger hills. The layout of the cabin was conducive to the entire family gathering together or having the opportunity for some time apart with both living room and den fully equipped for an evening of game playing or watching TV.
The wood burning fireplace was a nice touch.

This cabin built in the 1920s was the perfect setting for Thanksgiving with family. Warm wood interior, crackling fire and rustic furnishings all added to the experience. And the kitchen had everything we needed. Highly recommended.

Steve Tyler was a great host, even checked in to ensure everything was running smoothly, via text. When we walked in, it felt as though we stepped back in time, from the early 1900’s to the Kool of the 80’s (kids were excited).
Plenty of items to do with the kids, access to Lake Arrowhead was a bit challenging, yet Steve has that all down. Also only 15-20 minutes down the hill is Lake Gregory, cabana options and an awesome floating playground on site, highly recommended if you have kids and it warm/hot.
If your in to an insane burger and a shake or malt, a must is the Malt Shop.
Steve, thanks for the great experience and having the game Skip-Bo on hand, we had a blast.

I've booked this house for a gateway for me and my mom and cound't have worse experience, END UP NOT STAYING IN THE PROPERTY and booked with another place since I was concern for my SAFETY!!! right after booking host send us a SEPARATE contract and force us to sign it, when we refused and ask to cancel (and VRBO told us not to sign) host was bulling us to sign and didn't agree to cancel the booking when he could just cancel (we cound't cancel ) HOST is an HORRIBLE person and just let us pay without staying the night there!!! This host should be BANNED from VRBO

We loved staying in the Steve's rustic cabin. It was so much fun for a girls' weekend - loved the games, kitchen and hot tub! The only thing was that we didn't realize that it was very hard to get to the Lake and access is limited so it wasn't as much of a lake weekend as we had planned. But the cabin itself was great!

This place is fabulous. Steve has thought of EVERYTHING you could possibly want and more. The location is great and we can’t say enough about this lovely cabin. Steve was very easy to reach and he is the perfect host. We would recommend this beautiful cabin to anyone looking for a great getaway.

Cozy Cabin in woodsy area
We had a great time. Steve was extremely helpful and easy to communicate with. The cabin is charming in a woodsy setting. We enjoyed sitting in the back yard which is where we ate and full of shade, lots of trees. We also enjoyed the hot tub at night which was always a perfect way to end the day. I can only imagine how cozy this cabin would be in the winter. Overall a great experience and highly recommended.

A Relaxing Retreat
My family of 6 (including Teddy, our maltipoo), had a great time at Steve’s place. We relaxed and enjoyed all the amenities available to us, especially the spa. Steve was very prompt with his responses to our questions. We definitely recommend this quiet, spacious house, minutes away from the village. We’re looking forward to visiting again!

We really look forward to cozying up at this cabin again soon.

Great cabin!
The cabin is so cozy and charming while still having plenty of room for 5 adults and a toddler. The kitchen is well supplied with a beautiful retro feel. The hot tub is great and we used it both nights we stayed. We loved the fireplace and enjoyed all of the rustic touches. Steve was incredibly responsive and helpful with all of our questions and we couldn’t have asked for a better host.

Overall, my friends and I had an incredible stay at Steve’s location. The cabin is a little more spacious than the pictures made it seem with a large living room and large game room (comfortably fit 7 people). All the bedrooms were upstairs which was nice for a larger group and allowed for individuals to head to bed early, undisturbed by others that wanted to stay up a little later. The jacuzzi was great and the outdoor area looked spacious (we stayed inside due to weather).
Although the Cabin was great the real highlight was the host himself. Steve was efficient, communicative, knowledgeable, and kind throughout our whole stay. Bad weather made the start of the stay a bit complicated and Steve provided info for a safe travel and was flexible and generous given the circumstances. Truly a one of a kind host and guy! Thanks Steve!!
