Choice was the main issue as it became less over the weekend. The cooked choices for breakfast were very good but simple things like a toast rack, improve the quality of the preserves, adequate cutlery for cereals etc would change the perception of the operation in general.

As above little things would improve experience, improve the quality of the toilet paper, a box of tissues in the bathroom, perhaps a couple of coasters to prevent furniture marking from hot beverages, the shortbread very much appreciated.

Breakfast had rave reveiws on previous posts..so i was looking forward to it....i found it adequate at best. Nothing bad zbout it at all, but just what you would expect, nothing more positive than that. Best experience by far was the day before check in. The receptionist made great efforts to keep me in the same room despite separate induvidual day bookings...my plans had changed. She did a magnificent job of juggling the whole days bookings to keep me in the same room. Stunning customer care. The evening menu starter of Butternut Squash soup with ginger was exceptional, normally the soup.option is always dissapointingly bland..this was off the flavour scale chart...well done chef. The 'courtyard' setting for all the rooms was very pleasant, and parking was plentiful.

10 oclock checkout is a bit harsh especially on a Saturday. The room and definately the bathroom felt a bit tight space wise, although the spacious entrance lobby with shelfs and baskets was unique and welcoming, i kept all my clothes and incidentals there. Didnt use the drawer unit at all. The wife. had she been there would have critiqued the lack of light by the mirror in front of the obvious 'make up' space. But even some 4-5 star hotels of our usage have failed that test.

Lovely hotel with very comfortable bed and friendly staff. The rooms are all ground floor in a courtyard setting. It was a 20 minute walk into Lymington through a field path & then over the bridge. Drinks tray and homemade shortbread was nice touch. Breakfast was delicious and made to order. We would definitely stay here again.

Slightly too far out of town. Toilet paper was very thin.

Breakfast was ok. Nothing special. No porridge even following a request. Only a small cold buffet section.

Arrival reception wasn't great. Room nothing speacial.
