About this house rental
Nestled in Alvin, this charming house for $287 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. San Luis Pass is renowned for fishing, boating, shelling and gorgeous beaches. The Family House features a large side and front deck with views of the Gulf and the Bay. The house is currently finishing a complete remodel and ready for rental bookings. The house is beach style, with lots of large windows, and is a short walk to a beautiful, long Texas beach. The house is a 3 bedroom, two bath, and a large 2 queen bed loft. Fully furnished and nicely appointed first floor with a pull out couch, 46' LCD SatTV, DVD, open kitchen, granite counters, nice new appliances, and large washer and dryer. Three full bathrooms, your own bath in the master. Newly remodeled in 2010, and ready to rent as of June 5th. Features Three bedrooms, two queen size beds, one full, two queens in the loft with your own SatTv, and fold out couch. Shelling on along our Texas shores. We have Kayaking, Deep Sea Fishing, Bay Fishing. Galveston has Schlitterbahn, Moody Gardens, great restaurants, and the Strand.

We had an excellent time in a well stocked house with plenty of room. Excellent location with lots of memories made.

We enjoyed our stay very much, it was very clean, comfortable and the proximity to the beach was nice and best of all the beach was not full of people. We would highly recommend this place and will stay here again if we come back to this area and need a house of this size.

Nice relaxing area. We were able to find some great restaurants within a 20 mile radius. Beach just a couple of blocks away.

The place was good and roomy. The sheets upstairs we had to re-wash due to not being the cleanest but overall was a nice home and in a good neighborhood. Lots of updating and new homes going in.

We decided to take a last minute trip to the beach for spring break and we were able to book this gem of a beach house literally the day before. Paul was very quick with responses to questions and the house was clean and provided us with everything we needed. It was actually the easiest check in/out I've experienced with a vrbo. We had a lovely time. The water close to the house does not have a beach, it's a rocky jetty which is beautiful to take a stroll too, but the beach access isn't far and we were able to park right on the spot we chose to have our water and sand fun so everything was right where we needed it and we didn't have to lug our gear from a far parking lot. This spot near the San Luis pass was not crowded for break like everything is closer to Galveston so we loved it. Make sure to go grab dinner at Red Snapper Inn, it is fabulous!!! Would definitely come back to this spot!

Nice house to stay in. 3 bedrooms plus the loft. (We never used) We enjoyed beautiful sunrises and sunsets on the deck and tables were perfect for early morning coffee and evening glasses of wine. Bird watching was easy. We could see Spoonbills, Ibis, Hawks, Sandpipers and more. Plenty of kitchen amenities that we were able to bake and prepare nice meals and watch the football games. Plenty of towels and comfy beds. Nice covered roomy driveway was great! It's a peaceful area with easy access to the beach. Being at the Pass you able witness the drama of gulf as it erodes the eastern edge of Treasure Island area. We hope to stay here again.

This is was wonderful property for a getaway with extended family. Close to a very nice, quiet, and clean stretch of beach. Property is as described in the listing and the owner was easily reachable and quick to respond to questions.
Pro tip- bring lots of bug spray, the mosquitoes are abundant in the neighborhood!

This was a beautiful house, so spacious, lots of natural light and well laid out and furnished. It was an easy walk to the beach (our kids brought their scooters to make it faster!).

It was a very easy process. Paul was very responsive and did so quickly. We had no issues with the property and appreciated the easy of the whole process. Absolutely ready to go back.

Very nice house. My family had a great week. We rented a golfcart to transport people and gear to the beach. I recommend that. The house was stocked well for cooking. The beach was not crowded. Good times. This property worked great for us.

The owners are great. We really appreciated the deck space. Everything you need for a great trip is there and easily accessible. If you want to go to Galveston it is about an half hour drive.

The Family House
Our three families had a fun visit. The kitchen was well stocked for big meals and the large deck afforded great views, especially at sunset. Having a golf cart was especially useful for ferrying equipment and kiddos to the beach. We were also very appreciative of the pet policy and how responsive our host was before and during our stay.

Quiet beach, 25 mins from Galveston
House has open lots around it and covered parking underneath. Subdivision beach access is pedestrian/cart access only and a 3-5 min walk. Cars can park just outside subdivision beach access and walk last few yards to beach. Car beach access is Freeport’s public access 1-4, San Luis County Park, or Galveston’s public beach access just across toll bridge. We brought our UTV and really enjoyed using it to get around. Many people used golf carts too.
Bring serious mosquito spray ! We visited just after Nicolas and the mosquitos were thick.
Owner Paul was available and house had brand new floors. Mattresses were a bit hard for us, we ended up putting a foam mattress topper on the master bed for our stay.
Groceries, restaurants, and stores are 20-30 minutes away. Bring what you need :).
We enjoyed Lake Jackson’s Sea Center, Galveston’s Naval Museum, tree sculptures, & The Spot Restaurant….. and the BEACH !

Great Escape from Hurricane Ida
We booked this property to evacuate from Hurricane Ida. We searched for somewhere that we could relax, that could accommodate a large group, and was pet friendly. We found this property which was reasonably priced. The property manager was AMAZING and very understanding of our situation. He replied very timely to online messages, phone calls, and texts. Though we were on edge during our stay as we worried about the destruction back home, we felt safe and the gulf views definitely helped keep anxieties at a minimum.

We stayed here last year & knew what to expect. Location is good. Just in between fishing & beaching. Tide was way up because of Hurricane Grace, but we were able to get a dry spot. Highly recommend for family get aways!!
