Really enjoyed it!

The room was newly redone, very clean and comfortable. Good location and the loveliest owner! Had an awesome time there!

2 nights stay

Quarto bonito e bem localizado! Boas comodidades na cozinha (comum).

Cute, but unpractical room - cleanliness could be improved

* Location: Very cute house in a lovely neighbourhood (however, do not go through the part at night) * Decor: Amazing architectur, lovely decorations

* Check-in: It was not clear to me that I would only get the code, AFTER sending my passport image (that information was mixed up with lots of other comparably non-important information) * Accessibility: The stairs are very small, and not feasible for large suitcases / unsporty people * Unpractical: The room had lovely furniture and decoration - but not practical at all: no coathanger, no place to put the suitcase etc. * Cleanliness: For flat/room 3, the bathroom is outside the room - it was unclear if it was shared or not as a used towel was on the floor / footpring in the shower stall / towel stack was large, but some were folded so sloppy that it was not clear of clean (or not - in total: this was the biggest minus point for me - but can be hopefully fixed easily

Very poor

It's almost impossible to go up the stairs with luggage, it was really really dangerous... This is not recommended for people with any disabilities or kids.

Would not recommend it to anyone.

Hugo, one of the owners, is a nice guy.

They rent out the kitchen on Sundays to another group who play some board games so it's impossible to eat at the one and only table. Olga(the other owner) told us to find another solution in a very rude manner. The lobby looks like you're entering a warehouse. The bathroom in the room needs massive renovation. It's very dirty, the walls are cracked in the corners and it's very ugly. In the pictures attached you see the dirt on the shower head. Water pressure for the toilet and shower was extremely poor. There was almost no pressure for hot water. The toilet downstairs did not have an exhaust. The furniture in the room is old and the paint is falling off of most of them. The curtains are very dusty. The spiral staircase in the lobby was extremely narrow and it's hard to carry luggage upstairs. It's even harder if you're tall. They don't communicate well before hand via the booking.com app. We had to chase them to get a response regarding our luggage drop off We thought we got something special at the price we got it at, but it turned out to be extremely false. We were willing to pay more for something better but this seemed amazing in the pictures. We feel cheated. Booking.com should shut them down!!!

Good budget stay

Close to the metro. Had a lovely bakery 5min walk. Soundproof windows.

Old building so we could hear people on the upper floors walking. Bit far from the city center.

Shower must be fixed...otherwise nice!

The bed was quite comfy!

The shower was a disaster! Either too hot or too cold. And the shower spray is not gentle, just shoots at you. And the shower head from above is just decoration.

Lovely cosy spot in the middle of Brussels

The location was great! Hugo was really nice and very accommodating. The room was cosy and clean

It was a little much, that there isn't a real door into the bathroom, hard to change, but still makes the stay with someone very... intimate.

Perfect rooms, worst staircase

L’atelier de Hugo is extremely close to the train station and walking distance from Brussel-Midi. It’s also around 15 minutes on foot from the city center. The rooms were big, clean, beautiful, the host is kind, answered all my questions fast and did all he could to help us and make the stay enjoyable.

The spiral staircase. It’s EXTREMELY narrow, high and it made it very difficult and uncomfortable to go up 2 floors with a small hand luggage.

Lovely Stay in Interesting Area

Quirky, lovely flat in interesting area. The owner was friendly and kind. I enjoyed it there very much.

Unique stay

Location was very good, close to subway. The owner was very friendly. We could leave our luggage the next day until our departure.

Design of the interior is unique, however room requires total renovation, which the owner says is planning anyway. There was a bad smell coming from the toilet. Shower was very old and didn't seem very clean. Be aware that stairs are quite uncomfortable to use, especially with luggage

Pleasant

The accommodation offers an excellent location. It is located in the city center right next to the metro station or the bus station. Communication with the staff was very fast and reliable.

Unfortunately, the accommodation looks different than in the photos. The welcome hall is a defacto junkyard and unfortunately everything smells musty. The view from the room is directly on the ruins of the house next door. The insulation of the room is terrible and the noise in the other rooms is very audible.

lovely host and lovely location

perfect centre location to buses and stations and hosts were lovely!

sound travels very easily in the property so if someone two floors up goes the toilet you hear everything also if bringing suitcases be aware stairs are very very narrow and spiral so can sometimes be difficult.

it was a disaster, it was impossible to cary luggages to your room. it is big lie about private bathroom other rooms can reach the bathroom directly from stairs. we haven’t stayed and leave the place. it’s not an apartment nor a hotel. also they reject to cancellation despite of false information.

Lovely large room near to the main train station.

Lovely, large, high-ceilinged room that was clean, comfortable and quiet and ten minutes walk from the train station. There is a convenient grocers store across the road.

A bit tricky getting a heavy suitcase up and down the spiral staircase. I had to empty the case both ways in order to do this but it was not a huge problem.

I liked the interior of the room, very cute and authentic. It was possible to go out onto a spacious terrace. There is a kitchen.

Superb

Location is perfect,15 min walking to the center area. Or can go by bus or metro. Next to the hotel is nice latino bar,where we found live music and dance. Shops,Lidl etc. Room is good,there is a kitchen downstairs.

Maybe because the building is old,we can hear people walking on third floor. That made us to wake up early in the morning,because people were moving with their luggage.

Great stay in central Brussels.

Great location- short walk into the center of Brussels, close to the metro to take you around other Brussels sights & ten minutes to the train station. Area lovely with vintage shops and cafes. Easy check in and lock box with key. Able to leave bags until check in time. Clean room, toiletries and towels provided. Unexpected huge private balcony! Bed was comfy. Really liked the vintage style decoration. Definitely recommend to stay here whilst visiting Brussels.

Only thing was that it’s not very soundproofed and could clearly hear other guests across the hall in their rooms. But it is an old building and we only heard them once or twice. Not an issue for us.

Superb

We came here during autumn.Everything is well prepared for us and we even had a patio of our own. The room is pretty and there's heater in the room which worked well. It's in between Brussels Midi Station and the grand place so that made us easier to go either way.

The spiral stairs would be challenging for those who are disabled or with a huge luggage. But for us, it's just fine, we managed.
