About this apartment rental
You enter the cottage up three steps to the porch and then onto the landing. A large comfortable bedroom available with either super king sized bed or twin beds and complete with fitted cupboards, chest of drawers, dressing table and with two windows with views across the woods and lawns.
Relax in the sitting room with log burner, flat screen TV/DVD, dockage station, comfy sofa and chair. The two windows also have beautiful views.
Enjoy our well equipped kitchen with fridge freezer, washing machine, electric cooker and microwave.
The bathroom has under floor heating, large walk in Aqualisa shower with excellent pressure, basin and WC.
This charming cottage has its own garden laid mostly to lawn with a selection of garden furniture and a mobile Barbecue for summer evenings. If you are quiet you can spot the red squirrels feeding regularly off the bird table.
An open shed provides ideal storage for bikes or a roof box and room for off road parking.
There is a large log shed and logs are provided free but need to be split with the axe provided.
South Lodge is available for short stay and we have a minimum stay of three nights. In July and August we try to stay to weekly lets from Saturday to Saturday but always inquire and if we have late availability we may be able to help. We ask for guests to arrive after 5pm so we have time to fully prepare the cottage for your holiday.
South Lodge has everything you will need and is a true ‘Home from Home’.

Perfect sized cottage for 2, with very comfortable bed, excellent hot water supply, well thought out kitchen and sitting room. The powerful shower is a bit too much for the slow drainage in the bathroom shower cubicle. This was the main problem we had (hence the one “4” rating”) but was not really a major issue.
We appreciated the friendly welcome from Tayla, also the advice on walks around the estate and list of local eateries, although some of these are not fully operational at present. We liked the Smiddy in Lochgilphead one lunchtime and the cafe in the Ardfern village shop gave us excellent home made soup and sandwiches another day.
The peaceful surroundings, nuts and fatballs provided to entice local birds (plus flapjacks for the visiting humans!) all made for a lovely week’s holiday base.

Another April visit to our favourite pace. Ederline never disappoints. South Lodge is just fantastic with everything you need for the perfect getaway.
The wildlife from the kitchen window is fabulous, pine marten, squirrels, badger, deer and fox. Not forgetting the abundance of birds.
Willa and Angus are the perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble. We hope to return later in the year

Lovely compact property with all that was needed in a fabulous location just right for the two of us and our dog.

The cottage is very pretty and very tastefully decorated. The bed is very comfortable and we slept well. The estate is lovely and we really appreciated the walk suggestions provided. Our only criticism is that the property is not properly ventilated and it was very damp (even with some black mould in one or two places, which was concerning).
